  • Today we take a look at ALDI National Distribution Centre, Nailstone, Nuneaton CV13 0QP.
We read the signs on the outside and follow the arrow to the development.
Before we get to the gatehouse we are approached by security.
We are then joined by some construction workers who behave very unprofessional.
Warning - This one contains a few swear words.

As a retired CEO of a 650 employee business, if that happened to my retail company I would be asking my legal team about ways to terminate the building contract altogether. WHAT IS THREATENING BEHAVIOUR IN UK LAW?
In the UK, a threat is considered to be a criminal offence if it is intended to cause the victim to fear that violence will be used against them. This could include verbal threats, written threats, or other forms of communication that are intended to cause fear. Note that the threat does not have to be carried out in order for it to be considered a criminal offence. It is also a criminal offence to make a threat of violence against a person or property with the intent of causing fear or distress.

The SIA by refusing to get involved in a hourly wage structure within the Security Industry, which they purposely did a turnaround when first established promised to make sure they would be involved heavily in rates for Security, now that they are bringing in the SIA license; deserve for the low quality of security guards with little to no knowledge or the ability to de-escalate interactions with the public.

The Site Manager came across as a thoroughly decent, intelligent man. Puma guy will one day bite off more than he can chew, what a bully & a huge liability for any company he represents. There was absolutely no need for that threatening behaviour, but relieved that DJ wasn't physically attacked.
As for the video, I'm so pleased to see Aldi building such a huge site. They're an absolutely fantastic company & deserve every success!

I wonder what the Site Manager feels after seeing how his security and that threatening member of staff behaved. Both so cringe inducingly bad, it should be an instant dismissal. It is very fortunate that DJ Audits always handles himself in a professional manner, who knows what would have happened if the likes of Marti Blagbrough would have been there. Great audit once again DJ, and well done for finding that difficult balance between being persistent, yet not antagonising them further.
