- Hey, Friends! Didn't think I'd be at another track day already did you!? Well, I didn't either so we're on the same boat, lol. I had a bunch of instructor friends from work heading to Autobahn Country Club to drive with Laps Inc the day before we setup for a weekend of work there. So I figured I'd join in on the fun too and experience the South track for the first time. Per usual, I had a blast! Lot's of Porsche's and one Honda... Me, lol. The way the track day was structured allowed me to make adjustments to the car and immediately go out to test without having to wait for another session. It was open track the entire time! Definitely looking forward to joining the Laps organization some more in the future. I learned A LOT within the span of 3 hours. Enjoy!

Wow good race and good job on the adjustment.
Thanks!
zoo heej my guy 👍
Thanks dude!
Nice one brava. Dont be so hard on yourself, everything you are doing is you trying to find more speed. Theres no other way to go faster then to try things different.
Thank you! Still trying to be fast!
Nice vids I got a track spec eg for a good price
Awesome! Now get it out on track!
Nice, heel/toe. One suggestion would be less engine braking and delay your downshifts for a just a spilt second, it’s easier on the motor and less dramatic weight transfer in the final part of the brake zone to the front wheels. Use the throttle to point the nose in with lift oversteer at turn-in to apex, let the rear end rotate. Your looking fast and smooth! 🏁🏁
John! Nice to hear from you and thank you for the advice! I do have some questions for you based off your feedback. I’ve assumed (here we go lol) that the earlier the down shift the better, so that when you do get to the turn in point, the car has had the time to stabilize? Or am I wrong in that assumption?
Second, using the throttle to point. You mean as I’m turning in, apply a burst of throttle followed by a lift to rotate the rear? Or in what sequence?
Thanks for the advice to far!
@@bvspeed The wieght transfer happens quickly and higher RPMs will cause a great transfer of weight to the front, low RPMs will have a lesser effect. A (.5 to 1 sec) slight pause before downshift will be smoother, better RPM matching and less sunden weight transfer to the front wheels. Engines are OK brakes, but your not brake limited.
That 100% makes sense! Thank you!
I wish I would've tried your line in turn 6 when I went out Monday... Definitely quicker on that line. It was my first time there also so I just left it in 4th mostly and focused on consistently being on line the first two sessions out.
That’s how you should do it! Take your time, take it slow and then gradually bring that speed up! I’d actually like to take 6 a bit differently next time I’m there!
@@bvspeed if opportunity & scheduling permits, I may shoot for that Sept 13th date. Checking out Track Night @Gingerman next week to keep the momentum going. lol
Bad ass !!! , i have a B20 in my EK Sedan With Custom Cam Regrinds 190 HP Non Vtec .. but im scared to go over 100mph cause the rods 😭 idk how you do it man
Sounds fun! It’s not vehicle speed that you have to worry about, it’s engine speed! Get it out on track!
@@bvspeed i will brother !!! You motivated me
