Would a similar thing like what happened in 2015 be repeated? I mean they have already started giving chances to youngsters like Zak Crawley and Ollie Pope. But dropping legendary odi players like Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow would be a travesty Joe Root is a highly underrated odi batter prior to 2023 he had an avg of 50+ and was only the third player alongside Ab and Virat to have an avg. of 50+ in both tests and Odis. On the other hand ever since Bairstow has returned from injury his odi form has been worrying. Joe Root is not that old he recently turned 33 and he himself said he is willing to play the 2027 odi World Cup and without a shadow of doubt he is one of the greatest to play Odis. And for Bairstow he is 34 he didn't say anything about his chances for the next odi World Cup but we all know how destructive Bairstow can be he was one of the main reasons why England won the 2019 edition. Both of them are odi legends but whether they will play regular Odis remains to be seen. Hopefully the reintroduction of the champions Trophy would help in increasing the number. of Odis teams play
Bairstow was a walking wicket during the 2023 world cup. Malan did pretty well all things considered. But, Bairstow never really got going until it was too late tbh. Phil salt would have been a much better option to open the batting in my personal opinion. One of unsung hero of the 2019 campaign was Liam Plunket. He picked up regular wickets with the ball in the middle overs and kept the run rate down. He was a handy bat down the order as well. He was sorely missed this year
@@ray.shoesmith Crawley might score a century in the next inning and prove me wrong, but as things stand - he is not a great player of spin. I don't see the point of playing him as an opener in India. Dan Lawrence would have been a better choice in my personal opinion.
Your videos are great as always. I would really love to see a video like this on the Cricket team of Sri Lanka on their downfall. They once used to be one of the most dominating teams breaking record after record. 1996 ODI World Cup Winners, 2003 Semi finals, 2007 Finals, 2011 finalists and even when it came to T20s 2014 Winners and as I recall finalists of 2009 and 2012. That downfall hurts me to see
The fact that they humiliated themselves in the 2015 World Cup but learned from it and won the 2019 World Cup is proof that English cricket is capable of bouncing back. @@officialsporticaYeah they should soften their approach on copyright in order to grow awareness of the game via content creators. NBA does this with great success. That being said, i still think your channel has a high ceiling based on 1 billion cricket fans alone
I don't think age is a problem in the squad. The Indian World Cup team consisted mostly of players who were in their 30's and they won ten 10 matches on the trot. The main reason was because they're main players such as Joe Root didn't play much ODI's. Also, their attacking style of game works well in England, Australia etc. but they needed a little tweaking of their approach to the games. Their attacking game centered around having 2 batters playing the role of an anchor and the others played attacking cricket around them. Usually these players were Ben Stokes or Joe Root both players who weren't exactly in the best form and when they fell, the rest of the batting fell.
Do you remember the 2021 Uae world cup? Pak won 5 out of 5 of their group stage matches just bcz thosd days that place was our home soil. I have seen you team performance outside india after the world cup u were defeated by an inning and 30 runs even though every single player of your team is in form cz everyone had played too much matches during world cup on flat pitch.
And every Asian team performs well against some or the other SENA team. Like ban do well in New Zealand they in the previous wtc cycle defeated Nz at their home and now they won some of the matches their ok? Pak do very good in england conditons. Ind in Aus
@@sameershahzad249 Not being arrogant, just stating what happened. And my main aim was to show how age of players doesn't matter if they are in good form. Winning 10 out of 10 matches in any conditions is quite a feat.
The rise of England happened when they lost against us in 2015. I remember the crying face of Morgan and Rubel's roaring celebration after bowling out Jimmy. Then they never looked down, changed their structure, gave youngsters like Roy,Archer,Wood chances and instantly the Morgan which kneeled down against the underdogs in 2015 build up a solid team with fearless cricketers. But from that Bangladesh went downhill and I don't know when will it end. Great Work @Sportica ❤ keep working
Great video as always! Only issue I have with it is that Jason Roy was dropped due to a minor back injury and he was dropped for Harry Brook not Dawid Malan. Which I feel was a key issue as England lacked a strong opener alongside Malan when Bairstow was struggling. Other than that, great video.

An informative video. However, England has a lot of talent in its kitty. England players are one of the highest run getters in the IPL , and the international outings , were what was missing during the last world cup. Their style of BAZBALL has revolutionised TEST CRICKET.
Though cricket was invented in England, most people there don't care about cricket😂 The main sport there is football. It is evident from the fact that half the England players aren't even of English origin.
It's not a downfall it's just a bad phase remember Australia faced the same thing during 2016-18 then they comeback strongly and won 50 over World cup 20 Over World Cup and World Test Championship England are facing the same thing but they will comeback strongly
Why would you even bothering comparing England with Australia? Australia has pretty much dominated cricket over the last 30 years. Australia have won 6 of the last 10 world cups. If they win the 2027 World Cup then they will have won half of all the world cups ever played.
TBH, I was Hoping for an ENG/AUS or ENG/IND final on 19th November 2023 As the world cricket revolves around these three nation, "The Big Three" But the way Eng performed through the Tournament was a heartbreak 💔😔 Im Indian but I'm a huge admirer of Stokes/Butler/Root/Bairstow/Woakes/ Surely it was depressing and quite a sorrow that they didn't even reached in knockouts Winning ICC tornaments in row (CWC 19/T20 WC 22) , i thought it would be awesome to see English team defending It still is painful 😖
Moeen has never been massive in ODIs, secondly, the amount of games reduced because of the Hundred bein reduced is shocking, surely that gets mentioned.
When you look at Bazball, it's revolutionary for England because their test history has seen them scoring at slow run rates, under 3 runs an over. India, Australia, South Africa and most other test playing nations, have been scoring at 4+ runs an over for decades. England are like that one kid who turns up late to the party and looks to show off, even though the party ended an hour ago and you're still cleaning up
That’s a load of rubbish. The closest a team has even comes close to matching the current England’s run rate in test cricket over an extended period of time was the Australian team of old. To put bazball into context, the fastest scoring year in all of test cricket overall was 2005 with a run rate of 3.38 with the global average over the past 20 years being 3.29 which wouldn’t be faster than any bazball innings. Out of the 2659 test innings in the last 20 years bazball makes up 8 of the top 30 fastest innings despite them making up only 0.75% of the total innings. When you graph the run rate of 2022 and 2023 every innings except one is above the mean and over half are outside the range of what would be predicted as 95% of innings each year. Nobody has ever scored quite as quick as bazball over an extended period.

Actually in 2019, even though they won the world cup, they didn't deserve it. Except their semi final game against australia they didn't play well. Fortunately for them, the match between pakistan and sri lanka got washed out, thus they got their tickets for the semis, otherwise pakistan would get their ticket for the semis and everyone knows how they won the final just because of umpire silly mistake, they were given 1 extra run and because of that new Zealand couldn't make it. I personally consider nz as champions of 2019 world cup. I know Some people will disagree with me but that's the harsh reality
Fortunately, unfortunately, it's always the same. England were a solid side throughout the tournament and some random Dharamasena is not going to spoil that. Maybe Boult should not have taken a few steps back and none of this would have ever happened.
Being an Indian I would not actually call it England's downfall in cricket, They have the players, talent, resources to win as the present English Cricket Team is probably the best squad England has ever had in cricket. They are just going through a bad phase like India is going through due to not winning an ICC Trophy for a decade.
There was no dead ball. The world cup was not robbed, because there was no robber in question. Unless you think the ECB was involved in bribing Dharmasena or something, which goes without saying, is ridiculous. The boundary count rule was in place long before the match even happened.

I don't see any downfall in this team; they've won back-to-back World Cups. It's just a bad phase because the players are out of form, and their key players are injured. So, wait for them to come back, and then you'll see.
Nice vid!

England is back strongly in 2024 T20 WC
No choked in semis 😢
Great job bro!
Appreciate you bro! 🙌 Happy New Year 💖🥂
They're not shining in test cricket, they couldn't even win the Ashes at home
A good suggestion love your content ❤
Glad you enjoy it! 💖

This guy makes better documentaries than Netlflix 😳

5:31 Ben who?
2019 WC holders,2022 T20 WC winners and you have say that this team is going down?
Temporary downfall! They will be back 🙌
Do make a video on why cricket is not growing as football and got so less fans outside Asia
Interesting! We will try to cover it. Thanks and Happy New Year 💖🥂
Bro i don't think there's any downfall. I don't even want to see it with England bacause they are the biggest competitor. Just wait for the Ashes.
5:32 Ben Strokes 😅
It’s Ben Stokes man c’mon

IMO, one world cup exit doesn't qualify as downfall.

Haha it means a lot brother! Appreciate you 💖🙏
Are they a domination team ? They couldn’t beat Australia in England . They weren’t even close in the World Cup .
Hi bro, I've been watching your videos 😁 and i found them really amazing. I think gour vodeos should get more attension! I just wanted to know that can you pls tell me how do you make your thumbnails? Cause i found them really amazing.. thanks and happy new year keep it up!❤❤
Thanks bro! Happy New Year 💖🥂 I use photoshop only. You can search photo manipulation on UA-cam to learn more 🙌
I understand your hard work... One day you will fly with this Wings
Appreciate it man 🤣
An informative video. However, England has a lot of talent in its kitty. England players are one of the highest run getters in the IPL , and the international outings , were what was missing during the last world cup.
Their style of BAZBALL has revolutionised TEST CRICKET.
Valid point!
Your video on patty Cummins made me a fan of hin even more.
💖🐐🥂
Though cricket was invented in England, most people there don't care about cricket😂 The main sport there is football. It is evident from the fact that half the England players aren't even of English origin.
Maybe you are right 💭
My man used AI to the fullest of its ability... ❤❤
I wish man 🤣 Nothing in this video is AI 🙌

if this presentation isn’t part of the australian school curriculum, it should be.
@@valueinvestor77 it's not comparison it's about struggle
Why was Moin Ali dropped?
👋Make video on Pak's 1st ever wc victory vs Ind (in t20 wc 2021), that 152-0 innings bro.....where ind 🇮🇳 lost by 10 wickets😢!!!
TBH, I was Hoping for an ENG/AUS or ENG/IND final on 19th November 2023
As the world cricket revolves around these three nation, "The Big Three"
But the way Eng performed through the Tournament was a heartbreak 💔😔
Im Indian but I'm a huge admirer of Stokes/Butler/Root/Bairstow/Woakes/
Surely it was depressing and quite a sorrow that they didn't even reached in knockouts
Winning ICC tornaments in row (CWC 19/T20 WC 22) , i thought it would be awesome to see English team defending
It still is painful 😖
bruh one bad season doesn't mean it's a downfall of a team. Every best team in football has a bad season in their history
You should have made a video on downfall of their test cricket
Brother what's the reason behind every video going viral.

They shouldn't have wore the same jersey they had in 2015 WC 🙄
I don't think English team is on downhill. Their current misery situation is due to mismanagement and aproach to cricket like "Bazzball" .
Bazball isn’t white ball
Bazzball lmfao
So how did Australia manage both? Win the ashes and World Cup?
They did not win the Ashes and they would have lost if not for a massive bout of good luck with the Manchester washout @@williampope2487
In fact I'd argue the 2023 Ashes is one of the biggest shit stains in Australian Ashes history because they somehow managed to fumble a 2-0 lead up even when they had one of their losing games get washed out
At least they've won trophies in the last year's 😢

Explaining the downfall of English cricket requires just one word...
Bazball
Don't think it's a downfall.. It just was a bad tournament just like India and Australia had in 2021 and 2022 cwc. Expect them to bounce back in style
Why isn't Brendon McCullum coach of England in T20s and ODIs. He is a Smasher , he is a god in limited overs. Why doesn't he coach them there too
He sure was godlike in 2015 CWC Final 🤣
Right??
Temporary setback 🙌
for me nzland should have been declared winner in 2019 odi cwc because that was a dead ball and wc was robbed.
There was no dead ball. The world cup was not robbed, because there was no robber in question. Unless you think the ECB was involved in bribing Dharmasena or something, which goes without saying, is ridiculous. The boundary count rule was in place long before the match even happened.
This channel is gonna be massive one day
