I came back in Thailand three months after ( I left family, friends, all I had, ... ) to live with my thai wife, and we've been happy together for 15 months. But I had a work in France and I came back in my country. But it has been a problem for my family. Even my sisters, older, hadn't been fine with me and my wife when she came in France. After they meet her, it has been better. My only child, my daughter, was 20 years old when I got married a second time, and she didn't accept I was married again. The gap doesn't matter too much. It matters whether the two are ready to be serious and know what they want. For women that's 25-35. Younger are clueless. Older are usually bitter.. Men these days aren't ready to be serious until after 40. There will be a natural age gap in any successful modern relationship, with some rare exceptions.. Thailand is very accepting of the gap. In America, a lot of people thought my wife was my daughter. We're only 10 years apart.
Me and my ex Vietnamese wife were 20 year age gap, I made mistake bringing her here to America, once she go americanized, she got greencard and social security card and she left, she remarried for 3 years and divorce him and clean him out to. A whopping 25 year age difference between my Thai wife and my Farang self (32 and 57). We also met online, and have been together for well over a decade. Happily married with two BEAUTIFUL little daughters together, it's been, BY FAR, the best decade of my life. I worry a bit for the years to come, and I feel a bit of guilt to burden my wife and kids as I decline, but I suppose every life path has its share of burdens and joys.

All depends on who you marry, my first wife 4 years difference, worse time of my life, now married to my Thai wife 25 years difference, we are both working full time in Australia, own our house and currently building in Thailand to retire in the next few years, a closer age doesn't mean a better chance of success.

The gap doesn't matter too much. It matters whether the two are ready to be serious and know what they want. For women that's 25-35. Younger are clueless. Older are usually bitter.. Men these days aren't ready to be serious until after 40. There will be a natural age gap in any successful modern relationship, with some rare exceptions.. Thailand is very accepting of the gap. In America, a lot of people thought my wife was my daughter. We're only 10 years apart.
