- The very first volume of buses in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan! We see a varied fleet in this small city surrounded by hundreds-of-miles of fields, ranging in age from brand new to over twenty-five years old! The old MCI Classics are ex. Calgary Transit units bought as contingency spares, and still soldiering on in their final days of service. Alongside are low-floor New Flyer buses from the late-1990's and 2000's, with NovaBus LFS and Grande West Vicinity 30' buses from the 2010's. The D60LF is an ex. OC Transpo unit.
The Classics were retired from service in early 2019.
I remember when I was working for Edmonton Transit. The union went to support Saskatoon transit when they were locked out
umm... does this bus at 2:00 looks like a Calgary Transit from 1980s to 1990s???
That's an MCI Classic built in 1991/1992. Saskatoon bought 20 of these buses in 2015 to replace their original fleet of GM/MCI Classics which were even older. These will be on their way out over the next year as they are replaced by new vehicles. Cold Lake, Alberta also bought six such buses to start their transit system in 2015.
@@Welwyn22 And Gatineau, QC. Those are still active
They have better buses than Toronto!
