@@KidHuevotes00 I'm not sure if he did or not. He did change a lot though after losing to Denis Cyplenkov I know he gained a lot of weight but just the vascularity in his arms mixed with the added weight. Even if he is taking something it still takes a lot of work. If u can't bet them join them.

Why is Ayello on this list??? Mike Ayello is a professional armwrestler himself often regarded as the gate to the elite level of armwrestlers. Really stupid to include Ayello on this list. Of course Devon beat him since Ayello is a level below him. But the man ain't no noob or novice on the table.

Can't fairly compare a lifetime of sport specific training, skill, and experience vs a buff guy with a tiny fraction of that.
It's not unfounded. Look what Brock Lesnar was able to achieve in the MMA against veterans of the sport. Sometimes being a big boy can negate everything. But armwrestling is too technique heavy for that.
@@donoi2k22 Brock Lesnar also wrestled all the way through college. He had a very solid foundation in one of the most effective fighting styles in MMA.

Of course though. He's near the top of the field and there is probably no one who is strong enough to beat him without at least attaining moderate skill in the sport. That doesn't just go for Devon, but pretty much all of the elite arm wrestlers. Look at Larry Wheels. By many accounts he's one of the strongest humans alive, and even after spend time gaining skill in arm wrestling he struggles at the elite level.
Not skill but specific strenght in fingers, wrist and forearms. Skill is the cherry on the top, playing the role when the strenght is comparable.
We all love Larry but he doesn't "struggle" at the elite level, he isn't anywhere near even being able to compete at an elite level, there are still plenty of guys 50 pounds lighter whose hands he can't move. He can't compete at an elite level in the weight class below him, and it's not because of skill, he's still developing muscles you'll never develop doing basic gym workouts with bars and dumbbells.

@@Ariskot007 If you look at his match vs Brandon Allen, I think his approach is still pretty straight forward. While lack of specific strength is probably an issue, I think becoming a more proficient technical arm wrestler would serve him equally well.

UPD: watched till the end. Well, not every guy, but every bodybuilder which is not good in armwrestling. You can clearly see by the way he holds people who is easy to win for him and who is not
He is stronger than them on the arm wrestling table so you’re wrong. Maybe not in their respective sports/lifts. But on that table he’s stronger and has more endurance than every single one of them.

I knew wrestlers in high school that had lats and biceps 10 stronger then any of the big juice heads that I’d see at the gym, who weighed 100 pounds more than us.
What's next? Denis Cyplenkov curling heavier than Usain Bolt? Ofcourse he would beat even the strongest bodybuilders in armwrestling. Although Eric Spotto, Larry Wheels and Mike Ayello are not bodybuilders even if they look the part..

Where are the bodybuilders?! I see powerlifters and other armwrestlers going against Devon, not bodybuilders. The closest is Larry Wheels who did 2 bodybuilding shows but he is primarily a powerlifter turned armwrestler and former strongman.
BB shouldn't do armwrestling because (very often) due to the rate they pack on muscle, their tendons don't have time to strengthen. So bb (generally) are vulnerable to muscle detachment due maximal effort.
Powerlifters generally have get tedon conditioning. With that said a BB can condition their tendons but it'll take time to do

Eric Spoto! He's one of the best bench pressers on the planet. He was kind of known for being one of the strongest non-competition arm wrestlers out there. Only recently did he compete in a super match, which he lost to Mike Ayello. Probably due to no competition experience.

I love that most people think arm wrestlers are Superman strength and God tier power athletes. I encourage an extremely powerful person who has never tried strongman, to attempt it. Obviously on your first day you will lose, and not be even close. If you do strongman everyday, you will eventually become consistently stronger. If you are doing arm wrestling, you only do arm wrestling movements which are micro in their execution. The sad story is that most humans think that bicep size correlated to arm wrestling strength, rather than what I just explained.

In my case, Devon can also kick my ass at least because he is pretty much twice my size (but any decent fighter will destroy him) and outlift me for same reason. I'm very confident i can outrun him at any distance too. Lol. How do you compare? Fact is, Devon is very good in what he does, but he is far from being strongest man on earth
