Devon is just soo nice....he feels the opponent, then let him do his thing on their level. He is giving them a good sparringsession eventho Devon isn't doing much. Then gentle making a noise so that the opponent knows that he is up to something, while pinning him he is constantly watching over his opponent position. Just such a great dude, I hope I can pull him once. Sadly I live in The Netherlands and I am a student😅😅

It's not just niceness. He uses the training partners as a way of training his muscles specifically for holding and defending. He's making himself stronger by just holding on instead of just pinning everyone straight away. It's probably the best way of getting functional strength for this specific sport.

@@jinkledarber8058 yeah but devon knew from the start this guy was no threat.. at 0:35 look at their wrists, a real armwrestler would attack the wrist to either pronate or supnate for his advantage but the wrist position is in the same neutral position as the start..
to me armwrestling is fought on 3 fronts... the wrist war, the elbow war (how tight you could keep your forearm closer to your body, or how strong you could separate it from your opponent), and the total arm strength (triceps+biceps+shoulder+lats).. devon controlled all 3 fronts so he won, you gotta win at least 2/3.. and i think the wrist war is the most important war to win.. check laletin vs levan 1st pin, laletin was on the offensive but he lost his wrist to levan which cost him the match

Yea, devon has goddamn gorrilla wrists, the angle sometimes while the other guy is pushing all his weight into devons arm looks impossibke. Im fairly strong, nothing special but im sure my arm would break in that position with that pressure. These guys really train hard for this shit cus without special training you will certainly break.

No Lie.... I can watch Devon AND John UA-cam videos all day where they are both Crushing it, in either training vidz...or straight up Super Matches, and enjoy every single minute.
Easily my two favorite Arm Wrestlers, Legends ... and what they have both done for this Sport is immeasurable.
And to think as fans, we get to witness one last battle ....👍👍
Personally, it doesn't even matter who gets the W ... the FANS are the real Winners.
What I do know, is this KOTT will NOT be a quick or easy win for either legend..... And will surely be a WAR.

As much as I love Brzenk... he has no chance of beating Devon (barring some unexpected injury). Devon's elevated his game too far beyond what John is capable of at this point in his career. Michael Todd or Dave Chaffee would have been more realistic matches before the America's endgame boss Devon.
