Well sir, happy retirement! Your videos have been a great inspiration and I even teach lock picking to my cub scouts, the look on their faces as the padlock pops open is amazing. Thanks for all the youtube memories!
Hey Bill, you and LPL got me into lock picking. Yesterday I got my first lock picking kit. I took a hyper tough padlock I had bought a while ago and tried to pick it with a wave rake. It worked. I am hooked. Thanks for showing me a cool new hobby. Now I need to learn how to single pin pick an old Master Lock no.1 I have owned for several years.
@@remley8877 This is the lockpicking lawyer and today we have a lock that looks tough, but really isn't. proceeds to take out standard hook in 18 thousandths and uses top of keyway and picks it in 45 seconds
Side note/fun fact: Bill says it's full of spools. The writing on the back of the lock has a german and an english part, with the latter being an incomplete translation of the german version. The german part of it advertises six mushroom driver pins (which the english version misses out on).
Hi Bill, I am a Romanian firefighter and a year ago I started lockpicking because he uses me in my job. A month ago, I came home from a tired, service tour, and a neighbor locked her house and garage keys in the garage and had to open it. I succeeded in the sixth attempt, Burg Diamond Watcher. It wasn't a day before I didn't look at him. My enthusiasm surpasses my qualities of lockpicker. I must say that you and LPL are my teachers! I had no one else to learn from.
Thank you Bosnianbill for 2,000 videos. Your knowledge and skill is unparalleled and you have contributed a whole lot to the locksport community and it is deeply appreciated. After 14 years and nearly 2,000 videos, enjoy a well deserved retirement and spend all of your time with what matters most, family. I have learned my skills from your videos and I love your videos. As always, Stay safe, Stay legal.
Good job Bill, I started picking about 4 years ago thanks to you and LPL. I have amassed quite a nice collection of old vintage padlock along with new ones and a metric ton of mortise cylinders some sfic's, including a kaba peaks with a wicked key way . They have all been picked and now I am loooking for a new challenge in the pin tumbler world. In the dimple pin and disc detainer world I have my work cut out for me. Just to be clear my brass beauty padlock from Bowley hasn't been picked for obvious reasons. Regardless I love the work you do and I am thankful for all you have taught us and will continue to show us. Best regards to you and yours.
Congrats bill. Smallest I got is 15thousands. I'd love to get a complete set of 12thousands but I wouldn't have to much use for them but there's always that one. I'm a mechanic and trust me having the right tool for the job makes all the difference!
Great job Bill, If there is no one brave enough I’d love a shot at it, & I will be happy to pay the postage 😊 all the way to that small little island across the pond 🇬🇧. Have a great weekend. 👍
If I’m not too late, I’d love the chance to pick that padlock, and happy to pay the postage for it (to Australia). It can do the rounds of some other Aussie pickers, after I’ve picked it or given up trying... it must be a great feeling to evict it from the naughty bucket after all these years! I could hear it in your voice.
Well done Bill, I could hear the satisfaction in your voice. I would love to have a crack with this lock however I think it would be wasted on me as I still struggle (for now!) with what you would class as piss easy locks.
The Burg Wächter locks are all pretty resistent to picking. They did a very good job there. I myself have some Burg Wächter locks laying around that i can't pick. Good job Bill!
He did a while ago (1 - 2 yrs) (videos 581, 1311). LPL came over and took locks out of the naughty bucket and did a whole series on them (naughty bucket Chronicles?).
Burg Wächter are an even bigger PITA than Abus. I own a BW 770/40 with a similar keyway but an easier bitting and it took me months to successfully pick it - it is supposed to be on a level below the Abus 80TI but that one was much much easier to pick. I'm looking forward to acquiring more BWs because the one I own had me up my chops big time. I love it.
I'd love to give that lock a try. I've kind of gotten tired of all the locks in my collection and was looking for another step further. I might have to buy one for myself. I haven't made the leap yet because all of the difficult locks to pick cost so darn much.
About the same hardness as some of my high security locks , that I haven't picked yet. But , their keyways and keys look more nasty than this one , this is , so simple , but so complicated at the same time.
Heck of a job getting that one open buddy. Yeah send the pick with it. LOL!!!!!!! I'll have to grow a little more before tackling a lock that's so restrictive. Not to mention needing some 0.012th. picks.
Don't think you've done it but I'd love to see you keep a list of your top 10 hardest to pick locks and update it as and when you have done the lock, maybe show the list at the end of every few videos.
Scotty at Rare Elements is a great guy to work with and I've had my picks since you first reviewed them. I love the way they slay a Schlage C keyway. That said, my picks are .013" and have yellow/green stripe shrink wrap. Are you confusing your pick with the new Sparrows .012" picks? Keep up the good vids.
Been watching too many of your videos. I had a dream where you and I had to break out of a fortress and it was one door after another and another with some crazy goofy locks. Made Lebowski's challenge look simple. Lol.
Hi Bill I start my pickcereer with Burg Wächter because here in Germany Burg Wächter is cheaper then Abus Every Burg Padlock i have here is easyer to pick then an Abus, thats my opinion. I Think Burg wächter is a waste of time to start with its to easy to open. Only 2 of 10 Burg are a little bit tricky The nasty Keyway is there only protection aginst Picking nothing more, i own also some Abus with a more strange Keyway they are unable to pick. Even with a 0,012, i think, you cant get in there to set the pins. I tried it many times with 0,015 from Multipick.
Hi! I've been watching your channel forever and I've built up a small collection of locks that I've been picking myself but i got a few in my own naughty bucket that I'd like to see you make a video about.
Nice keyway! I wonder? Could that lock be shimmed? Maybe thru the cyl ? Thanks for all the vids, I'm into locks for about $1000. now, Next will be a vise, I really like one of yours. I have ssp and rake picked about 25% of my 50ish locks now. Thanks Bill, (and LPL)
Would you be interested in a weirdo challenge lock? It has a keyway that's about 7/1000 inch wide. The key is made of the same gauge of metal as a razor blade. On the plus side, there's no warding! Obviously, it's not a pin tumbler lock, but I have no idea how to describe the mechanism.
What if you tried picking from the back forwards, would it make it easier? Also I find if i press shackle down while picking the tension required on the tension bar becomes less and more sensitive to the pins.
Bosnianbill i'm new to this lockpicking trend no thanks to UA-cam putting up the LPL page, which then showed me your page. I really enjoy it i got myself a sparrows kit that you reviewed the Ranger, does the job. I've got 5 locks have picked them all a few times each now. No thanks to listening to your advice on how much tension to use. but i'm wondering if you could do a video on the pry bar or what ever it's called that comes with the kit. I'm not sure what it's about, would be helpful if you don't mind.
I get into a newer 4 Pin Burg-Wächter, but my older Burg-Wächter from the German Army r 5 Pin and i don't get into. but I'm also still a beginner and still don't feel if there r Spools or some else.
Your camera loses focus every time you zoom like that because when it's zoomed in, the minimum focus distance on your lens increases. A good macro lens would fix that issue, but there aren't a whole lot of macro zoom lenses with autofocus that don't cost an arm and a leg.
Well sir, happy retirement! Your videos have been a great inspiration and I even teach lock picking to my cub scouts, the look on their faces as the padlock pops open is amazing. Thanks for all the youtube memories!

Hi Hu interested in what lock pick set you bought.
@@txrazor2643 The SouthOrd PSX14 beginner kit.
Welcome aboard!
Maybe your friend The Lockpicking Lawyer could give it a try. :D
I don't know. LPLs basement is known for being a place where locks go to die. :)
as soon as you put the address on the package that locks just going to fall apart!!
@@remley8877 This is the lockpicking lawyer and today we have a lock that looks tough, but really isn't. proceeds to take out standard hook in 18 thousandths and uses top of keyway and picks it in 45 seconds
Congratulations BB on picking it, what a buzz you must have felt after all this time, nice one ;-)
Side note/fun fact: Bill says it's full of spools. The writing on the back of the lock has a german and an english part, with the latter being an incomplete translation of the german version. The german part of it advertises six mushroom driver pins (which the english version misses out on).
You’re genuine reaction was great.

Good to hear that overwhelming victory laugh with a yes thrown in.
Absolutely awesome pick technique Bill.

That had to feel great 👍. I hope all is well in your world BB. You are missed.
Nice Job! I could hear the excitement in your laugh.
Super fun! I'll take a crack at it if possible. Thanks Bill!
Congratulations Bill, it's great to hear the excitement in your voice!
The scraping and grinding sounds were setting my teeth on edge.
Almost bought a tear in my eye when I saw it pop open, I know how great that must have felt for you
Congrats bill. Smallest I got is 15thousands. I'd love to get a complete set of 12thousands but I wouldn't have to much use for them but there's always that one. I'm a mechanic and trust me having the right tool for the job makes all the difference!

Bill, I admire your persistence, and NEVER say die attitude. Congrats on the ... eviction.

Bring back the disassembly bill!
Interesting to notice that the picking order has changed. Used to be back to front, this time front to back. Nice to see another foe conquered. 👍
Probably to do with not being able to get to the back pins until the front pins are moved up and out of the way,
Well done Bill, I could hear the satisfaction in your voice.
I would love to have a crack with this lock however I think it would be wasted on me as I still struggle (for now!) with what you would class as piss easy locks.
I've never picked a lock in my life, but watching that was SO satisfying!
Successfully picked a lock that hard is SUPER satisfying! Even a veteran like Bill can't hide his sheer joy.
I would love to try it. Got to love a good challenge.
The Burg Wächter locks are all pretty resistent to picking. They did a very good job there. I myself have some Burg Wächter locks laying around that i can't pick. Good job Bill!
Congrats on the win Bill!
Awsome Burg Wachter padlock. Looks like a super Awsome challenge of a pick! I would love a chance to pick at that padlock!
Bill,
I would love to take a try with this lock! Thanks for the opportunity!
That key-way is amazing, I'd love to give it a try.
You make it look easy
Another eviction from the naughty bucket! Congrats Bill!

Great pick. I will wait until my naughty bucket is empty before I take on any more fun frustration.
I wouldn’t mind giving it a go. If it’s still available to try.
Congratulations on evicting that lock Bill! I would love to take a shot at it.
Nicely done

One day i might have the skills just not yet...great vid B.B
Hi Bill, I am not a picker myself but I would like to see my Bosnian friend Alen desperately trying to pick this lock. Greetings from Austria
Nice to Hera you sø Happy 😀
What is printed on the backside of the lock? It looks like a complete novel ...
Geez, all it took was a few decades of experience, a special tool, and four years and ten minutes to pick. Anyone could do that.

I would love to try that challenge lock bill..
Before you set in on fire that is.
Yay Bill! Send it to LPL. :)
I’m not very experienced at picking, but bill I would like to give this a try. I don’t have any picks in .12 but I would get one to pick this lock!
I'm tempted to set this thing on 🔥 lol 😂 Good Job Bill 👍yeah another 1 from the Naughty Bucket has been Evicted. Well Done 👍😉
I'll pick whatever is sent.
Nice!
Congratulations it is wonderful you finally got that one solved
Gimme that 12 thousands pick PLs 😏
Nope, I'm not ready for that one yet. Maybe in a few years.

This lock sucks to pick 😂 If it hangs on a door it is even harder. I tried to open my storage yesterday for 2 hours and in the end I used 2 wrenches
