this is slick.. my mini screen died so this has been a life saver.. In order to get to the printer access code, you look at the config file in bambu studio to get it if you didn't write it down.. it linked right up and I just put it over the top as you did and we were off to the races again until I figure out why the mini screen failed. this is an invaluable backup.. recommend this to all.. nice work sir
Great video! I recently posted one myself on this, and like you I find that I rarely use screens. I've found it to be most useful for quickly setting the filament types on the AMS, for some reason it responds faster than Bambu Studio. The head-stuck-in-the-printer move was definitely an advanced technique, you expertly pulled it off.
This is exactly what I am looking for in a low profile mount. Tried other Panda mounts but didn't like the pivot look Just ordered the right angle USB adaptors from Amazon and will print out your file. Thanks!
There is one piece of functionality that is missing. You can save custom filament profiles in Bambu Studio and push them to the AMS. Bambu Handy will also pick them up. Then when you change filaments in the AMS using either Bambu Handy or Studio you can set the custom filament profile. The Panda Touch does not pick up or understand custom filaments. This means even though you can set filaments in the Panda Touch unless you are using a Bambu filament or one of the supported predefined filaments you will not be able to set the correct filament type. This issue is on the list of potential future features however there is no timeframe as to when it might be done.
Hi there, funny question: Is it possible to use this screen without WLAN/internet/cloud? How does it connect to the printer? I'm thinking about buying a P1S but I may not be able to connect it to the university WLAN and will have to use it without network (just using the SD-Card). This screen would come very handy then instead of the stock one.... Thanks!
Nice vid, great mod. I am wondering why so many use ANY screens. I have both X1C and P1S and have used the screens only 10 times in over a thousand hours of use. I use Handy and Studio to control the machines. I mean how often are you without your phone and if you design or slice in Bambu S. you are right there anyways. I looked at Panda but at the time it was missing some basic control features , maybe they are better now. Do not know how you were backward AND upside down in that printer....hahah
Thanks for the comment. I rarely use any screen as well but the odd time I do, the touch screen is MUCH nicer. Not required but it’s a luxury. For example, if your part has an issue, you can stop it with one tap rather than fiddling with the buttons. Just convenient
Can you export print file from Bambu Studio on computer to a USB drive, then take USB drive to printer and plug it into the side of Panda, load and print item? No LAN and no WIFI needed?
If i have many objects on my printplate and one of the objects has an printerror, I need to use my phone to skip it. Can I do this with the touchdisplay as on the p1x?

Good thing you can’t see neck or back pain in a video 😂
Just purchased my p1s about 30 mins ago and will be purchasing this to go with it, thanks for the video and creating the mount!
Awesome! Enjoy!
do not update your printer and check the software version for compatibility first.
My printer was completely up-to-date in this video. But always good to double check compatibility.

That's a clean mount. I too prefer an oem look instead of an add on. Thanks!
🙌
Im going to print this tonight, tried to print other mounts but they just didnt print right. Thanks!
Awesome, enjoy!
Hi there. How did you manage to hide USB cable on the top ? Is it hanging freely or is it laying on the glass?
I created a printable cable guide just for you: makerworld.com/en/models/782938#profileId-720285

My question is this....Once you get this new screen, can't we just remove the old one?

ever stumbeld over one.. who drilled a hole into the bambu frame? this cablemanagement just sucks
maybe even possible to fiddle a low profile usb cable into the same hole the original screen goes into!?!?!
