Why does society and social media make such a stigma of being a single mother? Many times life is much harder being with the father. A lot of times it’s like having another kid you gotta take care of and still don’t get efficient enough help from. I don’t know any couple who has a family in real life that I envy either cuz that ish seems hard af for all of them. I often more so feel bad for the woman/them.
It’s not fun at all having to be a mother AND having the stress and headache from dealing with man shenanigans simultaneously. That ish will wear you tf out. No. I want to be a happy and peaceful mom, and not a lot of men can help to or contribute to make that happen.
I hear you and I can understand that perspective...but I think when single motherhood is being glorified it's because in situations like Amara and that man, when children are born from a casual or one sided relationship and the parents aren't together cause they never was together, it's the kids who are being deprived and it's extremely selfish of the adults that made those kids. To your point that it's unhealthy when it's kids and it's bad when mom is putting up with the man.... that...that says it all to me at least....the woman can be a mans doormat..punching bag... etc if it's just her, truthfully, who would care if she don't.
