    The thing that made me sick is how she’s using her biracial children as a shield from the backlash she’s getting. In a scene she’s walking with the little boy looking all pitiful and not remorseful, while the cameras zoom in on the child. I don’t like it. She’s is using them as a prop to deflect when we all know the biggest racists open their legs to BBC.

    Yandy is an HBCU grad so this isn't a surprise. But I'll tell you in living in NYC (I'm a born and raised New Yorker), we absolutely experience racism, colorism, gentrification, medical racism, covert racism....shit ain't gravy up here like people from the south think it is. What the difference is, is that we experience more Microaggressions, racism and prejudice from OTHER people of color in NYC than we do blantant racism from white people. Personally I have more ill feelings toward other people of color than I do white people because of how I've been treated ESPECIALLY BY HISPANIC/LATINO PEOPLE.
    Don't let nobody from here tell you otherwise: They DO NOT fuck with the Black people here, at all

      I’m from Georgia and I agree with you 1000% and that’s why I think Erica refuses to take accountability because where she’s from she’s allowed to say the N word and other slurs and black people seem to allow it because they feel we’re all the same and we’re not. Also because NYC is much more diverse , non black ppl like Erica and Fat Joe make it easy to get into black culture and use it to their advantages until they can’t.

      @@JadoregeousSeriously, I experienced racism in the South Bx for the first time in my 30’s. They were Puerto Rican and Dominican neighbors I was one out of maybe four black families in the building they ain’t like my ass. They’d do petty thing’s daily to express their disdain it was disgusting that’s when I knew I had to leave NY. Growing up Latin women and men would associate me with being Latina, once I would tell them no, I’m actually black West Indian they’d turn their nose up lol.

We get it from EVERYONE. The racism is more prevalent here because our neighborhoods are segregated. Coming for someone's parenting is not equal to calling someone a racial slur. Any corporation with a HR dept would have let her go as well and maybe reprimanded Spice for what she said. There was many other things Erica could have said as a rebuttal i.e. ok Spice my son doesn't like me but where are your kids or anything regarding her parenting. Erica knows how to use her words and those words flowed with easy. I'm sure she has called her ex-husband those same racial slurs and more. People are saying Mona is a hypocrite becuz so much more has happened on that show and I say again you see what happens when black women use their voices we are force to be reckoned with. I love your videos 🥰 2 quick things tho: white women wear wigs, tracks, clip ins, phony ponies and everything else and have been for years. Kim just wore really bad wigs. The difference between a black woman wearing a straight wig and a white woman wearing cornrows is: one is “appropriation”, one is “assimilation” and that is the word that was missing from the conversation (I’m speaking very generally) one is a trendy, superficial adaptation, the other is necessary for getting a job, getting into school, getting proper medical care, etc.

    Yeees please call Rhaseeda out for calling K Michelle nappy headed. Texturism and featurism is just as harmful. There are hierarchies in all the black communities globally. I love and hate these conversations because even though we try and talk about colorism, I feel like we never get deep like we need to. I love how you dissect this because you get down the bones. PS the spicy white people in Florida feel like then can say the N word too, especially the ones who love to be in black spaces and BBC loves to be in them 🫤🫤

    25:50 minutes in and omgg YOU SAID IT BEST. There would be no reason to emphasize on the AFRO part. Im puerto rican (although me myself dont even claim them for obvious reasons lol) in NJ and my own siblings call me clear and albino bc im the whitest 🙄 No one gets a pass from me bc they do it to each other behind closed doors and they are just as arrogant when confronted about it. It's sickening. Not everybody...but way too many closed minds in the BROWN community. Love every bit of your essence!!! I love a bih i can laugh with, sing with and learn a lot from! Yandy wants to control the room while being the center of attention when nobody asked her in the first place. But why Erica and Bam didn't come?

    • @staraquarius199
      @staraquarius199 9 місяців тому +3

      Yandy can control the room because she is an activist. Do your research before you think everything is about attention. You commenting is attention seeking but you’re voicing your opinion, she’s speaking on experiences and real life situations she seen up front and personal with . She’s help a lot of ppl and very educated. She speaks up for the culture. Have you? So since you haven’t she should lead the discussion. She probably the one who brought the other lady to the table since she is very well connected

    • @MiaBarnes98

      @@staraquarius199 You speaking out of turn just like Yandy because I don't care that you don't like my comment. Leave her a paragraph about how much you love her annoying azz.

    • @misstweed1915
      @misstweed1915 9 місяців тому

      I think they asked them all to be there so they they would be asking her perspective. This may be something she is really passionate about. She is educated and speaks well. These are discussions that are held in lectures so I am sure she meant no harm and engaged how she felt appropriate. I actually appreciated her perspective and was glad to have her along with the others be able to discuss this topic in the way they did. Also, I think it’s obvious why Erica and Bambi weren’t invited or didn’t come. This wasn’t to go back and forth on if Erica was wrong or not. This was about educating. You have to listen to do that and Erica is no listener. She made it clear where she stands on this issue.

    • @MiaBarnes98
      @MiaBarnes98 9 місяців тому

      @@misstweed1915 For Yandy to say Erica didn't know what the word meant and was actually defending her character during filming to now act like she's Malcolm X standing against her is fake right along with Sierra. They were getting drug on social media for kissing her butt.
