I've been watching your videos for about 2 years now, I'm very big on watching cooking videos I LOVE them and I have to tell you, You are my FAVE!! I love your style and how you explain everything, I love how you use items you have which shows you don't need to have fancy items to make delicious food....like the rolling pin in this video (I don't have one either so I usually use a can of something lol) I just love your whole vibe, you are a delight to watch! I don't normally comment but I really wanted you to know how much I appreciate you and how much I have learned from you. I'm a cook myself and have a passion for food. I'm not puerto Rican but I'm very familiar with the culture and food and I love it. you have taught me how to make these delicious meals and by the taste you would think I was boricua. I'm so proud of myself when I serve my food and you have played a part in that so I had to say something. You are the bomb Miss Ida! I'm in the mood for something sweet so I'm going to try these today. I appreciate everything you do and I'm excited for the next video. Keep up the excellent work, you are an amazing woman! -Lindsey
Omg! That looks awesome! If I was married to you I'll probably be like 300 pounds cause you cooks so good and all this goodies too 😄. Thank you for the video, I always wanted to know how they were made.
Wow 😮 that looks so good!! My sister in law is from Puerto Rico and is staying with me. I wanted to surprise her with something sweet. I can’t wait to make these for her. Thank you ❤️ God bless you!!
I don’t use a rolling pin , I use a dowel, they have much more roll out space too! And I find them easier to use! I have used cups in the past lol I thought that was just a me thing😁... and please please put out a recipe book for 2020! It was super sad to hear you didn’t have any more would love to have one and to give family for the holidays! Please if you decide to do it put the pasteles recipe in too! Love all your recipes😍
I love cream horns. They were my favorite as a kid from this one small bakery in my hometown. I recently scored a pack of those metal cones at Marshall's for dirt cheap. I had no idea that you could use the bought pastry. I'm curious how flaky they are? That seemed to be the difference in the ones I liked as a kid. They put icing in there's not pudding so I'll try it with icing. Thank you for sharing your recipes. I had no idea that I loved Puerto Rican food until I tried your recipes. I've missed you posting, I hope you are well and return to us. 😘
Definitely going to make this next weekend!!! so simple and easy and yet looks like a ton of work !! Thank you for sharing!! I Love your videos and I make your Pernil every Christmas/New years holiday season!!!
Puerto Rican cannoli is not Italian cannoli. I think I expressed myself properly in the sense of versions, but thank u for ur unrequested and yet unnecessarily explanation 😇
Also note if one decides to use a dowel there is many sizes, I would hold each to see how it feels to get the rite size, it makes a difference. I put my pointer finger and thumb together to measure and it’s perfect 👌 dowel size for me!

I make these but I make the dough & custard from scratch. This is an interesting recipe for when I want to be lazy. Thanks!
Most people don't have the time to make puff pastry and custard from scratch.
This makes me miss my abuela Paula. Thanks for this recipe!

My wife's favorite treat. Will get right on it this weekend. I'm wondering when are you going to come out with a nice Puerto Rican bread recipe.
Yay, you're back. I just literally made you're sofrito and arroz con gandules recipes yesterday! I can't wait to try this recipe next!😄
Aww the Puerto Rican cannoli!!! I called them “cuernitos” too!! Thx for making a vid so easy to follow
These are not cannoli. Cannoli shells and filling are different. They're also shaped differently. These are horns (screws in some places)
