    This is the easiest and best recipe on the net for guava cake. I've made this 2 or 3x times and it was a smash with my fam! only difference is I use less eggs and flour and gluten free flour and stick this in the refrigerator after baking to become bar-like. It actually taste like a healthier poptart. Thank you Jeff and Jo! 💥🙏

    Oh my goodness this has got to be a treat it's so simple but yet so decadent thank you so very much trying it this weekend and amazingly all I have to do is buy the self-rising flour you're the bomb loving you from out here in San Francisco California

      Yay! Glad you enjoyed it 😊😊 So great to hear from people on the other side of the country! As for the self-rising flour, you can also make it yourself, you just need to add some baking powder and salt to the flour: For each cup of flour, whisk together with 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder and 1/4 teaspoon of salt. Make sure to whisk all of these ingredients together well so that the baking powder and salt are both evenly distributed within the flour.

    *OH IT'S SO GOOD‼️*
    I am making 'Panetela de Guayaba' after the Video.!
    Jeff and Jo's Happy New 2021 Year.
    We had so many guava trees and still do around my father's landmarks in Moca. When the trees are on Bloom around February's, the flowering nectar aroma is intoxicating and magnetically inviting to all birds and bees. 🐦 🐝I used to climb them trees and playing n the branches while getting and tossing guavas to everyone, when I was young. I along those days...I also used to sell each guava at 5¢ some largest 25¢ those Primary's school days... I was a fast climber especially when we were making either juice or guava paste and I competed with my younger brothers in gathering the most. The key to avoid any little crawler infected guava is in gathering each guava before ripened off the trees. Organically speaking. I enjoyed guava on pastelillos most. And with 'queso fresco.' I madee those for New Year and ice-cream. Today I am making 'Panetela de Guayaba' Yes to Culture and Jeff and Jo's recipe I get to make it reality. It is so good. Thank You guys for providing more than a recipe but a memory in time and that is just as *PR*iceless.

    I was introduced to Panetela by the Cuban community living in PR. They also call it "Mata Hambre" since a small piece can go long ways and it's better with a cup of coffee. Thank you for the recipe.

    I don't have self rising flour. Could I use regular pastry flour, and add the yeast, and how much yeast should I use for the 4 cups of flour?

    • @benvale4887
      @benvale4887 4 роки тому +5

      For each one cup of a/p flour add 1.1/2 teaspoon of baking power. And additional 1/4 spoonful of salt. If this recipe has 4 cups of flour then you must add 6 tea spoon of baking powder to your 4 cups of a/p flour. I have one in the oven baking right now as I just have explained and it works tastefully. Good Baking!

      You can make self-rising flour from all-purpose flour pretty easily. For each cup of flour, whisk together with 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder and 1/4 teaspoon of salt. Make sure to whisk all of these ingredients together well so that the baking powder and salt are both evenly distributed within the flour.
