  • The new #OGRC Servo seems to have plenty of power! The adjustable servo mounts also seem to do the job well!
    The servo tray comes in aluminum and brass! Awesome for that down low unsprung weight.

    Great tutorial. Unbelievable to know how to use controls and servo correctly.
    And yes buy Metal cased servo, all the plastic cases break ears off and crack.

    I have the ogrc servo and it is a better bang for the buck than the lgrp tremor, injora 11kg, reefs 99, nsdrc 100, mofo servobeast. I also have some glider plane servos that are really good. K power dmc809 and gx1306 servos are great for the price. I also like the injora 7kg servos because they are $20 a piece and they are made for trx4m steering but they work for Scx24 with an adjustable servo mount. There are all kinds of different options when you have time to do the research. But OGRC servo is a no brainer if you have $40 and want a big boy servo

    Have not been able to find an aftermarket servo yet that fits a fcx24 properly so it can be used. The upper link mount hits the back side of every single high end aluminum case servo available on any adjustable servo mount available for sale.

    • @TheShopMiniRC
      @TheShopMiniRC  5 місяців тому

      Yeah, you can always try to shim the servo up.

    • @DTW-bx2vy
      @DTW-bx2vy 5 місяців тому +1

      @@TheShopMiniRC The servo case is just to large to shim it backwards because it hits the upper servo links & mount. And if I shim the servo forwards it sits too far forward & the steering link is at a 45° angle & binds the steering. I have tried everything I can & that is why I was hoping to see exactly how you got this exact same OGRC servo to fit into a FMS - FCX24 chassis. Do you have a video on how to mount this OGRC servo into a stock FMS - FCX24 chassis?

      @@TheShopMiniRCI have already purchased a NEXX Racing & Rampcrab FCX24 adjustable servo mount & they are both the same & will not allow the OGRC servo to be mounted being the servo is simply too large. If you took the OGRC servo out of your SCX24 & try mounting it into a FCX24, you will see exactly what I am talking about it being to large to mount. Please make a video & it will show I am telling you the truth that the OGRC servo does not work with an FCX24 adjustable servo mount.

    • @TheShopMiniRC

      The servo mount does fit the stock axle mounts. The servo could fit the stock servo tray if you cut it and put spacers in the front. (I’d just get the servo mount I show.

  • @snorrevonflake
    @snorrevonflake Рік тому +1

    Hm, i really wonder (because you did not show and you move around so fast that its not possibel to see any details without stopping the video) how you mounted this servo to this mount because the holes clearly dont match. I just sit here with a Mofo Servo Mount and an AGF-RC A20CLS SERVO (both same dimensions) and wonder what to do. The screwholes on the mount do not match the mounting holes in the servo, they reach somehow into the slot between them but its not possible to securely mount it with that, also although the mount is adjustable the distance between those sideparts is wider than the width of the servo so even more important to have perfectly fitting holes.

    • @TheShopMiniRC
      @TheShopMiniRC  Рік тому

      Add some washers to the center mount. I’ve also mounted some just using the center mount and it works fine. Try to get creative in how you mount it if needed. With these little guys there are generally many ways to do the same thing. Hell, I even have a rig where the servo doesn’t even sit totally flush to the bottom on the servo tray (it floats about 2-3mm above and has a gap) but that rig is a beast and I’ve never had servo/steering issues

    • @snorrevonflake
      @snorrevonflake Рік тому +1

      @@TheShopMiniRC Will find a way. When i buy a strong servo i want to mount it properly, yes i have seen that mounting on the two bottom holes (on the original plastic mount) and thus not sitting on the base - which would give the needed support. It would be easy for a manufacturer to make matching side posts for that mount - not easy for me, cutting that and cutting 1,4 mm threads.
