I chopped out the front cross member and increased the uptravel (printed taller shock tower mounts) of the front suspension. It was the biggest performance increase of all my mods.
Awesome! There are a ton of ways to deal with the different issues.
Thanks again for the video you made for me personally, I appreciated your help. This is a good video for other FCX24 & FCX18 owners to know about the high torque micro servos with the motor can visual threw the aluminum servo case has more mounting depth behind the servo mounts & causes issues. I couldn't even use the OGRC - high torque servo on my FCX24 K5 Blazer because I run Injora - stainless steel adjustable high clearance links & the rod ends contacted the back of the servo case bad. It was so bad that the rod ends on the upper links would not move. The servo spline was also too far forward & the steering link also would bind. So I took out the YIPIN/GX Servo - GX1306CLS high torque servo out of my FX118 Fury Wagon I upgraded too & used a Rampcrab - FCX24 adjustable servo mount & that servo fit perfect & did not cause issues & install the OGRC - high torque servo into my FX118 Fury Wagon. The main reason is the distance between the servo spline & back of the servo mounting hole or holes. The micro servos like the OGRC - high torques servo that has the servo motor sticking out the aluminum case are larger in length behind the servo mounting hole or holes that causes the issue on the FCX24 like I encountered.
Sorry it took so long to get a video for you. Just been super busy with all the new releases.
The rampcrab Crusher claw comes with a nice servo mount that moves forward for larger servos
Good info. Thanks.
My idol. A very responsive guy
Hahah thanks. Hope you get your rig going again!!
I also chopped my front and rear cross member off the fcx 24 I add aftermarket rampcrab servo and mounting kit with brass steering arms
Nice!
If you have a fms fcx power wagon i highly recommend upgrading to an aftermarket servo as the stock tends to stick
We haven’t really had many issues with servos sticking, but a good, high torque servo is always a huge upgrade.
Hello, what type of servo or code is it? I'm struggling to find the code.
Code?
After connecting the horn and powering on my fcx24, the steering gets stuck to the left. Any tips on alignment?
Take the horn off the servo, turn it on, center trim your steering on the remote and then put the horn back on with your wheels straight.
I’m trying to put this on a fcx18 k10 and the connection thing is too big. Should I get another esc?
You can always change the servo plug.
@@TheShopMiniRC how?
@@Enter_a_name15 you have a few ways of doing it. Cut the wire off the old servo and solder it to the new servo
You can also buy just plug ends and cut the servo wire on the new servo and put on a new plug end. You can also look for an adapter that goes from a standard “futaba” servo plug to Mx 1.25.

@@TheShopMiniRC what color goes to what color
@@Enter_a_name15 I’m confused…
If you mean the wire colors, black and red go to black and red and the. Yellow/white goes yellow/white.
They should be the same order left to right.
Just some food for thought, why is it so hard to find the OGRC metal servo horn on amazon... like... i can be dumb but when i search like 4 times, then give up and use the plastic horn, my search failed😂😂😂 maybe i am a little challenged
Pretty sure the OGRC servo horn came in a combo. Not by itself. :-/
Great video!! I just did the same thing with mine, also is there any way you get stripped screws out of these mini trucks? I have a few stripped screws and I don’t know how to get them out. Any help would be appreciated.💯💯😎😎👍👍
It’s rough and totally dependent on how the stripped screws are stripped. If you have a stripped cap head screw you can Dremel a slot in the cap and use a flathead screwdriver. You can also try to use flush cuts to get a grip on the screw head. If you have a counter sunk screw it’s much harder. You can try to use a torqs torx type bit or a reverse drill bit.
I’ve had some where I could just break the head off, remove the part and then use flush cuts or pliers to unscrew the screw shaft.
@@TheShopMiniRC yeah, than you for letting me know!!❤️❤️💯💯😎😎
