Spearfishing NY: Sandtiger Shark

Sandtiger shark, hanging out in shallow water, saw it multiple times.
I found it in front of me. I encountered it on several dips. The last time I was trying to outswim it and film it from the front. But then I saw some bluefish coming to check me out and instead I took a shot at a bluefish. The shark was accelerating and swimming fast while holding your breath is not easy.

I remember last year they closed several beaches in NY for sighting of these common sharks. It is one of the most common sharks that are kept at aquariums around the world.
Amazing looking at the footage, how much muscle mass it has.
I recently got a powerful large striped bass, it knocked my GoPro off the pipe mount on my speargun (it was secured with a backup lanyard).
This shark is quite larger than the stripers and more muscular. The fish around did not seem to care.
