These aircraft were painted with High Speed silver paint, The nose is actually made of wood. No need for the black base at all, or the super thick panel lines

Hey, you are correct they were painted High Speed Silver. I looked at pictures of the real airplane online and it starts as a silver color but them becomes a more muted whitish aluminum color. Thus I decided to go with the White aluminum. It looks bright on camera but it is more in tone with the real airplane. Thankfully, one of the people at my local IPMS worked on this plane was able to give me insight. As far as panel lines....eh. I think it makes stand out, it is a tiny model after all....yes it is not realistic though.

Future with Vallejo?) Cool experience! I don’t know about it way.

Yea, it surprised me as well when I first learned about it. But it really helps with Vallejo primers. It makes them cute in 45 mins and you can sand the primer without it gumming up on itself. Plus it turns the color of primer gloss.

@@Magurae it is an acrylic floor polish. In Europe it is called “Klear”. But it has been discontinued and the replacement is called “Quick shine”

Thank you very much! I have a question about Alclad Aqua Gloss. Is it ALC600 from Alclad II?

@@PlasticPilotR hi, yes that is correct. It’s very good for metallic finishes and for gloss coat for non-metallic finishes for decals and washes.

It does for a short time but will turn your paint a good. I don’t recommend using it long term

I do not get it. If i use vallejo the nozzle is clogged after 1 minute - no matter what type i use! Vallejo is a mess to work with! the smaller the nozzle the sooner it is clogged. If i use Tamiya, Gunze or AK real color i exerience absolutely no clogging but Vallejo is horrible!

Sorry to hear of your issues with Vallejo. If you watch my other videos, my channel is focused on to get the best results out of Vallejo and other water based acrylics.
Ak, Tamiya and Gunze are pure water based paints.
