For those of you who owns SUbD or Vertex Tools 1, make sure you get your discount codes: evilsoftwareempire.com/discounts For a limited time version 1 owners get a 50% discount on v2. SUbD owners get their usual 30%.
As TutorialsUp said - I made special offer for all existing VT customers so the price of VT1 and the upgrade would be the same as the total new price of VT2. Seemed like the easiest way to handle the scenario of users who purchased right before the VT2 release.
Thank you ,This new version will open up many more new ways and make organic modelling more easier inside Sketchup. I am very excited to see in depth tutorial on this new version of vertex tools plug-in. Thank you
This is a great update, but to be truly game changing it still lacks 2 extremely important things imho. 1. More than just two soft selection shapes. Spherical, cubic parabolical and pointy sharp inverse parabolical is what I would like to see. 2. The pivot point of the transformation is always the immaginary center of selection. It would be nice to be able to scale or rotate around a point you get to choose. But still, it's a wonderful effort from Thom Thom. He has single handedly truly changed Sketchup for the better with his Quadface tools, Vertex tools, and SubD plugin trio
So far Quad face and SubD has changing the game in Sketchup.. also vertex tools.. wait to see more tutorial next coming from you.. thanks for sharing great tips and tricks
1. It's on the list :) 2. Currently you can change the pivot point of the Gizmo by using Custom mode. (Though you need to pick direction as well as origin. I might add a quick-pick for the origin in the other modes for when you only want to change the origin for a moment.) But you also have the dedicated Scale and Rotate tools - both let you control the pivot point of the transformation. The dedicated Move/Rotate/Scale tools are easier to be precise with than the Gizmo.
And I just bought Vertex Tools right before this. I wonder if I get to upgrade it.
