    Barred Rocks are one of my favorite breeds!! I had alot of them when I lived in TX and I have had a couple since moving back to Indiana and they did just fine in the very very cold, snowy weather. All of the ones I have had have been very friendly. I currently have a little barred rock chick that I wasn't planning on this fall but she was so that the Silver Penciled Plymouth Rock that I got had a cuddle buddy bc the Blue Andalusian wasnt having laying under the heater with the Penciled Rock chick (but she is a week or 2 older and SO FULL OF energy like Ive never seen a chick! She has never walked anywhere, she always flies.

    ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ yeah I discovered you don't need to boil or bake your own chicken eggs she can eat them as they are after you eat crack them open and eat them to take your rig shells smash him up real fine and you are good to go to feed your chickens for calcium

      I’ve done that if I feed the shells right away but usually I let them build up for a week so I bake them , if that makes sense! Thanks!

    I bought for baby barred rock . Are you able to tell them apart once they are fully grown?

    • @laattardo
      @laattardo Рік тому

      You will be able to tell rooster from hen. Make sure you do not have too many roosters to hens.

    Plymouths are great in colder areas also. In New England I had these and they did great in the cold.
