I prolly go overboard there’s far more threat involved with our online info/security But I shred my stuff then mix it all up and throw a few handfuls out with each new trash bag in the kitchen trash 😂 That way at least it’s not all in one bag’ the chance someone would puzzle it back together is low’ Our online security is what’s scary everyone wants our ssn bank info etc and we have no control over how they store it in their files or on their servers that get hacked’
The concept is okay, but, why the hell does it say "ID Police" instead of actually being a pattern that is designed to best mask numbers and letters on documents? In the example they gave at 1:35, you can clearly read MOST of those numbers
What nonsense. The ink will wash off, especially when on a prescription bottle or other plastic bottle. Incompetent testing here by WNEP. Come on WNEP.
Just an Fyi for those who think things like this are a good product... 1) identity thieves don't dumpster dive, and the ones that still do have no idea what they are doing anyway. 2) A paper shredder will ALWAYS be the optimal solution for destroying documentation. You don't see banks inking PPI for a reason. 3) Suppose a thief really is desperate enough to go dumpster diving for bills. Even if you use this product, there are techniques several decades old for removing ink from a page while preserving print. The ink and application methods are different, and the right combination of chemicals and delicate treatment can remove ink (or make it thinner/transparent) from a stamp/roller/sharpie from most types of paper ... WITHOUT disturbing the print below. So, yeah. Garbage product, basically a scam.
No it doesn't work. Glass cleaner will metal the cheap ink. Lay a paper towel over it spray the glass cleaner and wipe away the cheap product. And boom! You have grandma's bank info
After few minutes when it is dry, you can see what was written.

Paper shredder works better
Why can I clearly see the words "alcohol antiseptic" on the hand sanitizer? This is a joke, right? Security theater.
Are there any refills to this thing? And people should be able to buy it at a store.
Singer, Brenda Starr
Walmart sells these
I bought 1 & let me put it this way ,I want my money back
They forgot to mention id police has an advertising contract with their TV station.... Oops kinda makes them favor a product
How does it work over colored ink and ballpoint pen?
You have to wait for it to dry out.
Expose the ink to sunlight or heat light.

Clearly they care more about brand exposure than they do about giving their customers an effective product.
Yes. It was easy to read those numbers. The design only covered part of the number you can easily figure out what they are
I still could read you name and address on your letter.
This is us for those who are too stupid to get a cross cut paper shredded
Y no os a dado por pensar un poco y romper el papel en varios trozos?, sobre todo la parte de los datos
I use to do that, before I bought my paper shredder.
Crazy but the use other companies logos (and alter them) and documents for their commercials
My I.D was never stolen
Just burn the old paperwork
i just burn my old paperwork works great
Yep I put my junk mail/old documents right on the grill 😂😂😂🔥🔥😎
Such a simple idea yet extremely useful.
Doesn't work grandpa. I bet you pay the publishers clearing house still
I use permanent marker but this is way easier👍
Anyone ever heard of a sharpie? Or a lighter? Or literally anything else that can be used to destroy documents?
The point is to use on documents you don't want to destroy just cover info you don't want everybody seeing
Bought mine this afternoon 7/13/22
Great 👍
Just become a police
I'll do that, after I learn to properly compose a sentence.
they can still get your info from online 🤣

Your info on a prescription bottle is on the paper label not the actual plastic bottle.
other testers show this product to be just about useless

Absolutely useless. You can read everything unless you are completely blind
