So I don't comment ever I just observe and this is actually my first UA-cam comment.... I just wanted to let you know that I'm sorry and you have my condolences I know what fish can mean to you your videos actualy got me into the hobby and my Oscar of almost two years is gorgeous and healthy lead by your advice thank you and be strong

Sorry for your loss man, I know mentioned the phrase "just a fish" in a previous video about this, but a pet is a pet. Our hardest loss was a rat. Sweet little guy too. Anyway, I'm glad you at least got to spend 5 years with such a cool fish!
I am getting an Asian arowana soon. I will call him Buddy JR in honour of your loss
Just hearing his voice makes my heart break, and I've only watched 33 seconds. After 5 years the fish is family. He tried so hard to save him. When my roommate forgot to feed my fish while I was in hospital the other fish in the tank turned on the smallest Sage and ate her fins. I found her at the bottom almost unable to swim. I put her in a clear cup with holes like he did his fish, then put slime coat in every day. Lots of tears, prayers and lost sleep but she pulled through. Got teased a bit by the guy who forgot to feed them. Told "She's only a fish. Flush her and move on" They are not just fish. They have personalities. They get moody. They show affection. Tiny goldfish think they are mighty Orcas. I don't even want to think of loosing my 4 fish friends. So, so sorry you lost your buddy.
I see a lot of comments of people saying, "oh it's just a fish" . I guess some people will just never be able to understand the personal connection someone can have with a fish. People don't realize how intelligent fish can actually be. Rest in peace buddy.
So sorry for your loss Joey! Perhaps you can add a plaque to the 2000G "In memory of Buddy"

I know how it feels. I almost stopped fish keeping in the past due to problems like this. But, I like my fish too much. I like the hobby too much. I have a catfish named Scar. Scar recently got over what I assume what a swim bladder injury. When I found him at the bottom of my tank, I was devastated. He was laying there with his eyes clouded over. I thought for sure that he was dead. It took him 13 days of swimming upside down and twirling to recover. Freak accidents happen when you keep fish. Some of them you can fix...and some of them you can't. Scar was lucky to have survived. In his disorientation, he had scraped large amounts of tissue off of his fins and back. I hope you don't feel like this was your fault. These things happen (You have been doing this for a long time and you know that). I believe that you did everything you could have done for Buddy. You were there for buddy during his last few days. RIP Buddy.
Im really sorry about Buddy, Joey. He was the most beautiful creature I have ever seen. He wasn't just a fish, he was a pet, a friend, a life companion. I like to think he passed away with the knowledge that you cared about his life like nobody else would ever be able to. He loves you and he has moved on to a better life where he can be happy and look down on his dad and on frank and know you both will accept the loss and will not be hindered by it, but instead use his memory to continue to make your life's better.
