I think it really depends on what your needs are. This would be a great question to ask in our Community to see why people upgraded and what they think. For the most part, it seems like everyone is thrilled with the RCPII. ecamm.tv/community ecamm.tv/discord
Hello. What is the source for the Usb chat? what can it be used for? I heard you mention "guest" but is that guest on Ecamm? I was thinking the guest was on USB Main? Which input is Ecamm on? Also, If I'm usung adobe Audition to record at the same time, which input do you suggest? Thank you for the video
If Channel 1 is a Microphone RCP II Chat is the mix minus channel for that Channel/Microphone. Ecamm is set for RCP II Chat in sound levels and in preferences. You control the Guest Volume with the RCP II Chat Channel. USB Main is the sounds from the computer IS the Browser, Sounds Effects, Apple Music, Spotify. If recording with audition make a track for all there of the above in accordance you how you mapped your channels. That bit is up to you as per Røde Audio Routing Instructions. You can configure that how you like. Mine is: Channel 1: SM7b Channel 2: RCP Chat Channel 3: USB Channel 4: Second Computer Chanel #5: "That's Perfume" :innocent: Channel 6: Sound Pads Hope this help. It's best to watch the Røde Tutorials and Developer Streams or Follow me from 1:03 in this video 🤙🏽
@@DocRock Thank you so much Sir! One last question. Prior to your response I contacted Rode. They told me to use USB 2 for ECamm live. I think because of recent update and the channels having mix minus. What are your thoughts? Not too sure to take advice.
Q. In mix-minus it asks to select Rodecaster pro 2 as the output device on my computer? I have it set to main and using Bluetooth earbuds as headphones
I love this thing bro. It's a game changer. Question tho. When uploading sounds if there a file type that doesn't work? m4a doesnt drag and drop for some reason
Note: the RØDECaster Pro II only accepts MP3 or WAV files Straight outta the manual 😂🤣 rode.com/en/user-guides/rodecaster-pro-ii/using-the-smart-pads As you can tell this is Doc 😎
Aloha Isaiah, I haven’t done a video in MIDI changes because although it’s there it’s not very elegant for scene changes. It’s clunky and not even close to as powerful as Stream deck. It’s the equivalent of carrying sheets of plywood on a moped 😂🤣 Here is the how from Røde direct but don’t expect miracles #Aloha ua-cam.com/video/qAIIfEtMtgM/v-deo.html
Thank you so much Doc! Very helpful video.
Glad to hear it!
Great breakdown! Thanks doc!
Thanks for watching, India
mahalos for sharing!

Hello from Puerto Rico. I own the first Rodecaster Pro. Should I get the new one or can I wait?

@@carolmcclendon3248 That works too bot ways works but I didn't do that because USB is my second computer. Either will give same result

Hi Robert! Not sure we totally understand your question, but if you mean in Ecamm, you should set it to Røde Caster Pro II Chat
@@EcammLive So set my output as Rodecaster Pro2 Chat.
Yep!
I'm having an issue where I'm not hearing my virtual guests in interview mode. They can hear me, but I can't hear them. What could be the issue?
Recommend you post this into the Ecamm FB group.

Please can you do a video on how to use the midi to change scenes in Ecamm live ?
Great suggestion! We will be sure to pass it along :)

Is this still a valid setup 9 Months later?
Yes! Although RØDE is releasing a lot of new products in May 2023 and June 2023, so keep an eye out for those.
Doc. do you have this same video for the original rodecaster. I am struggling
We talk about the original RCP a lot in our Audio Workshop series, which you can watch at ecamm.tv/audio
