Simply Beautiful!!!!! In so many ways.....! What a gem to have discovered these two magnificent Ladies who both ooze endless amounts of talent!!!! I could listen to this over and over, hmmm., just Like I did in the old days with the dead rocking my cassette player in my car/van going from one venue to another,,,,, Be Well Ladys and Peace!!!!
I have only discovered these wonderful musicians in the last couple of months. Many commenters have attested to what a pleasure they are. Just one to add one thing I'm not sure that I've seen: The chemistry between Elle and Toni is such a delight to see. Their banter suggests such fondness for working and playing with each other.
Top class...again. I first came across you two a few years ago .....going wild with recording on a busy railroad track ,dodging freight trains while recording an outdoor acoustic version of Jambalaya....Knew you were committed artists then....... Many thanks for the rich pudding of your other recordings, love n hard work. Thank you.
Here's the first use of "Coffee Cheers" - according to Reina! See the intro to "Save Me - Aimee Mann" (Thus Spoke Zarathustra - literary reference for Reina!)
Even though I'm 70, I still play drums in my band and I can recognize talented musicians like Toni and Reina as true. It is a pleasure to listen to them, while they delight us with rare pieces of absolute skill with voice and guitar, I am sure that if we gave them a box of biscuits, these two phenomena would be able to play with that too! They are really good artists, in this world of fake musicians who play accompanied by MP3s, overdubs and embellishments in the control room, they don't, they are good at them and in a disconcerting way. Two beautiful faces, clean of good girls, perfect voices and instruments if I were 50 years younger I would travel from Italy to the USA just to be able to play with them ...
@@Jeff-jg7jh probably for two reasons: One, they are already masters of their trade. It's always notable when someone with relatively few years of practice can perform like they've had a lifetime to perfect their discipline. And two: Many, if not most of their songs, are not from their generation but it's notable that, not only do they feel compelled to play them, but they honor them with a certain loyalty to the original. And they play them like they've lived them...or even wrote them themselves. I don't know if you were implying mentioning their age is problematic to you or not...but if so, maybe me explanation can offer you an alternative to frustration.
There's something about Toni's guitar picking that makes it irresistibly appealing. It's hard to find the right words. What about "tuneful"? This is an inadequate description. She's good.
Her guitar playing makes me addicted to watch these videos. She’s musical to the core and like that guitar seems like a part of her being! :) love thee guys!

I first saw Jerry in 1972. I love when his songs are made "fresh" and brought to life by a new generation. Beautiful rendition! Thank you from an old DeadHead! You know our love will not fade away...
It will be one day. The music business confounds me. These two musician's are much better than the (so called) stars that plug up the airwaves. I don't how to catch a break now days other than tour your tail off and hope the streaming services notice the increased demand for their music.
@@garypaquin9571 James Taylor once said recently that, with the advent of the internet, it's easier to open your own door. But, when you do, the room is already filled with a million others, trying to make their way.
Maybe it's better for their own health or personal happiness not to be superstars. Depeche Mode for example are superstars. Think of critical songs like 'Everything Counts' and what Dave Gahan said during the 101 tour (tour film): It's a permanent pressure to be excellent in every concert because fans paid a lot of money for their tickets. Everybody knows about their problems with drugs... Maybe the Reina del Cid way is the better one. It's always a pleasure to watch their videos. ☺️
Sweet sweet Sugaree ! Very cool rendition . thanks you dangerous duo you two !! Haha.. " Shake It Shake It Sugaree.. Just Don't Tell 'Em You That Know Me" !!!
my my......just a sittin out on the porch with a cup of coffee and the Dead, performed by two lovely artists who do tribute to that Iconic tune. And another vid added to my library! A rendition of Sugar Magnolia would be o so sweet! Thanks again ladies. 🌹 ✌🏻🇺🇸

She is no Molly Tuttle, THANK GOD, LOL. No, when I listen to the speedsters, I need to come listen to Toni, the real fi·nesse player: intricate and refined delicacy:
I love this song, I've watched this clip several times now. Toni's guitar work is so smooth and effortless. This is the best cover song of Sugaree out there. Great work ladies!
I've listened to a lot of your videos but I find myself keep coming back to this one again and again! I'm a huge Grateful Dead fan. I like this version better.
Please come to Pennsylvania...there is a fire, coffee cup, beer stein, and anything else you'll need to make your stay delightful. Why not play your originals and covers in a good old fashion jam! The east coast deserves to enjoy your talents.
I have not seen any other videos from these two, but I want to! I couldn't help but smile, smile, smile while listening to this. What did I like most? The ladies captured the groove that is at the heart and soul of so many Dead songs. How did they do that without a rhythm section? I don't know, but they did it, and it was beautiful. Thanks for posting this.

Love the 2 of you together, I can't miss a Sunday morning, beautiful voices and the music is fantastic, Reina's voice is so good sounding and she plays the gutiar very smoothly, Toni plays the gutiar with fingers that dance over the frets, and I love to hear her play the mandolin, keep it coming Ladies, I haven't enjoy music like this since the 60's thru 90's, so keep it coming. A wonderful version of a great Dead song. That Toni really knows how to lay down a groove. Reina’s vocal phrasing is different than Jerry Gacia’s and yet it’s perfect. And that Velvet Underground T-shirt is in great condition, considering that it must be older than Reina.

I love watching the body language of a lead guitarist that really get's into playing a song. You tell Toni loves jamming this song.
Jerry would have been proud! Spent many nights and days with this song.
Jerry IS proud to hear these bards do justice to all of his songs that they cover.
