I LOVE me some Stoney!!! First time I"ve heard this song...sighhhhhh.....this is just a classic example of the way that Stoney can reach me through song.
To the poster that asked if Stoney writes his own stuff. He writes some of it. This song was written by a man from Tulsa named Tom Skinner. Stoney wrote probably about 1/3 of the material that you hear him play in concert. He does an amazing job of picking great songs and putting his soulful spin on them
the Lyrics were principally written by a friend of Tom Skinner's named Matt "Junior Showcase" Daniel. There are about 5 people listed as "songwriter" on the song, Although Stoney is not one of the people listed as songwriter on the song, we all agreed after hearing Stoney's version that He had nailed the song in his interpretation, and it even became hard to get Tom to do the song Later on. ~Matt Daniel~
