Stoney Larue was first band I introduced her to.. I turned her into a texas music junkie . She passed away this week . I'm losing my mind . All i got is these songs we listened to . I'm sure she is sitting next to me listening. I can only hope . Babe i love you forever and always . Heart and soul
I'm a Texan, I know what you're sayin'. But the entire U.S. deserves to hear good and true country music. Texas isn't on life support but everywhere else is. There's music marketed as country music and then there is real country music.
OK. I just got to be me and be honest. Why the hell is this young man not on the top of the charts? 3 people on stage and produce this sound. This is talent. This is heart. This is what the fuck music is suppose to be.
having the awesome fotune to know gary as a friend ican confidently say he would have loved this. it brought tears to my eyes! growin up in dallas i never in a million yrs wouldve though id get to know the man whos soulful heartfelt music i listened to in the backyard as a kid when all my friends were into ledzep, nugent, hagar etc. it just seemed to be something real and relateable to in real life. this young man gets it too!Bravo!🐻
My all time favorite country performance on UA-cam. I grew up on classic country, and it doesn’t get any better than this. Freaking hate all the new stuff. This guy is more talented than all the new guys combined. Wish his success matched his talent.
Awesome job,I'm from Fort Pierce Florida the place Gary grew up. I remember Gary, he was always at my dad and uncles parties, better believe he was always the life of the party....such a great man Rest In Peace Gary Stewart
Sabrina Lynn Pierson : If you are ever in Nashville, check out Tom Buller. He plays at Layla’s on Friday and Saturday at noon. He does this song great!
Seen him in Dardanelle, Arkansas a couple of years back. Went to go rock a piss and grab a beer...come back and my wife handed me his pick that he threw out to the crowd. A memory I will never forget.
Awesome song! Gary Stewart is from Jenkins, KY near where I am from here in Bevinsville, KY.. Thanks for showing some love to some of the ol' true country artist. Now I have to listen to TXRD music to get real country music.
Each night ends up the same for me ... I love this version of the song! Stoney needs more recognition. I've seen him live about 4-5 times, and will go to every concert I can for the rest of my life. Listen to that guitar magic.
Hello dear, I might be late in response! but I would love to thank you for loving my music ambitions and support, where are you from? and how long have you been my fan?🎶🎤🎸🎧😘
i love him so much that i named my english bulldog after him i now have stoney larue all over me, these artists coming out of austin have made nashville look like american idol red dirt music and musicians are what country is all about! and i live outside of texas by the way
Hello dear, I might be late in response! but I would love to thank you for loving my music ambitions and support, where are you from? and how long have you been my fan?🎶🎤🎸🎼

STONEY - YOUR ARE AWESOME! ONE OF THE BEST THINGS I HAVE EVER SEEN WAS A FACEBOOK VIDEO OF YOU AND A COUPLE OTHERS AT STEAMBOAT 2018 PLAYING OKLAHOMA BREAKDOWN IN A HOTEL ROOM!!! SOOO COOL.
Hello dear, I might be late in response! but I would love to thank you for loving my music ambitions and support, where are you from? and how long have you been my fan?🎶🎤🎸🎧😘

I feel as if I'm living on the planet of the apes. This guy like so many others is so gosh damn talented and hardly anyone out of Texas even knows who he is. What the fuck is going on seriously? Country music is on life support, pretty much dead and randy rogers, cory morrow, wade bowen, stoney, so many others are completely ignored. The same damn people year after year with hollow lyrics and choreographed emtion own the mainstream and cmt like it was inherited. Rest In Peace Gary Stewart!!!!
I dont know where you live but in Texas these artists and county music as well as Texas country/red dirt are huge and being as Texas is a quite sizable state these fellows are by no means on "life support". All the other states are simply missing out but that doesnt affect the sucess of the artists it just limits their audience marginaly.

@kylelschultz Well the problem is mainstream music like all media is super corrupt. We got a lot of talented guys all over Texas who don't even bother to leave the state anymore because there's only so far most bands can go no matter how talented they are. You gotta be the right age, have the right look, and be willing to sell out. Guys like Daryl Dodd, Pat Green, made it but left to make real music. There's a reason why there's only a dozen hot country "musicians" that never seem to go away.

Mainstream country. But he is big on the Texas country charts at least

+Dan Johns damn straight.. idabel here. bass fishing is about all there is to me.
+Dan Johns
RIGHT! These guys... Stoney.. They OWN MY HEART!
Since they dont/WONT play this guy on the radio. Lets all appreciate UA-cam for being able to share such beautiful music!
Stoney's voice. I hear some blue eyed soul, & die for vibrato in that red dirt, beautiful, voice of heart and soul Stoney.

One of my favorites by far. Find myself singing along to this song all the time. I'm sure I'm no the only one.
Seen him in Dardanelle, Arkansas a couple of years back. Went to go rock a piss and grab a beer...come back and my wife handed me his pick that he threw out to the crowd. A memory I will never forget.
To this day one of the best acoustic guitar solos
My dad and stepdad introduced me to stone and I have kept listening to him ever since. R.I.P Jimmy Hunt
My dog died 3 years ago and I cried about it. This was a song for my Hank.

Awesome song! Gary Stewart is from Jenkins, KY near where I am from here in Bevinsville, KY.. Thanks for showing some love to some of the ol' true country artist.

It's the age of urban music. Even Native Texans don't care about these folks.
I was raised on Sons of the Pioneers! Ever see them since the 80's?
Stoney, I might be an old gal, but I ain,t dead yet. Your music touches me.

Awesome Stoney
Love Gary Stewart but Geezzzzz Stoney's version even better than the original....LOVE IT.
Very nice Good job
Dynamite performance. The fact that Nashville doesn't pick this kind of stuff up makes me embarrassed to be a Tennesseean.
thanks
No better place to see this guy than the tumbleweed in Stillwater,ok. Tremendous talent coming out of that town. #red-dirt-r-us
Other than Gary Stewart himself, have never heard anyone sing this tune near as good - Stoney does the song proud, pretty sure Gary would agree
