I got angry--because commerical radio kept this music from us andI learned why-because it is superior to the shit they put out in Nashville. I miss CCR. If you look, there are almost 6 million views. For an unknown band supposedly, people know now. And I gotta say, the number of beautiful women at their shows was amazing. Cody is a great guy just to listen to talk about music with Jason Boland, Randy Rogers, Mike McClure and the rest.

I got to watch them absolutely tear the roof off the then called reliant stadium "NRG" now at Rodeo Houston! It was one of the best line ups ever! Ragweed, Robert Earl Keen, Pat Green, and Jack Ingram just to name a few! No line up sonce has come close!

I remember when Cody used to hang out up at the pool hall at the bowling alley in Yukon, OK where my bro Kenny Swift worked when they were just kids. And Nathan Cross’s little Brother Grady. Many many years ago, great times. I had a buddy big Credence Clearwater Revival fan. I've day to mess with him I told her had to hear the newest CCR song and played him this. It wasn't long before he was like "who is this", and I'm just like CCR man, Cross Canadian Ragweed, who else would it be. It took him about week before he talked to me again lol. Worth it.
Cody Canada, Randy Ragsdale and Grady Cross. 3 men that were ahead of their time in the red dirt scene. If these guys stayed together they would still be playing sold out shows. So glad I was in college in Stillwater, Ok during CCR’s top times!

Most artists in the Red Dirt scene have their music produced independently, meaning they do it themselves. In Ragweed's case...Mike McClure produced a lot of their music. Mike McClure is an amazing friend of Ragweed's and he is also an amazing musician.

Was sitting at a table with Cody and our mutual friend Roy H at a Fayetteville, AR bar called Dave’s probably 20 years ago. Kept slamming Yeager shots and laughing out butts off, just shooting the bull before they went on. I told Cody how badass it would be to hear them cover Hey Hey, My My, as they had it on a live CD. He laughed and said, “man, I’m drunk as sh@t, not sure if I can remember it, but we’ll give it a try”…. They crushed it. And everything else that night. Good times.

Was sitting at a table with Cody and our mutual friend Roy H at a Fayetteville, AR bar called Dave’s probably 20 years ago. Kept slamming Yeager shots and laughing out butts off, just shooting the bull before they went on. I told Cody how badass it would be to hear them cover Hey Hey, My My, as they had it on a live CD. He laughed and said, “man, I’m drunk as sh@t, not sure if I can remember it, but we’ll give it a try”…. They crushed it. And everything else that night. Good times.
