You have to purposely add generic stuff to your music to get popular mainstream wise as a metalcore band. So if that means ST is never as big, then so be it. I caught the Vore release and hadn't heard of them before that. The Summoning is such a great song. I've been listening to it, Vore, and Alkaline on repeat for 4 days and have already bought the album and a t-shirt lol. It's been a while I have liked a new band this fast this much. They are incredible.
For a decade, Linkin Park was my all-time favorite band. Other bands came close over the years, but couldn't top what they did for me. I discovered Sleep Token last year through Nik's reaction to Alkaline and I can say without a doubt that Sleep Token is my new favorite band. I plan to get their symbol tattooed on my wrist this year. Linkin Park guided me through grade school and high school. Sleep Token is going to guide me through the rest.

Even The Devil Wears Prada, which is my favorite band, a band which, might I add, also knows a thing or 2 about taking listeners through the motions, hasn't given me such a vibe recently. And Chokehold also feels grand. I'm telling you, with this material, Sleep Token can be taken to the stratosphere.
They way genres are effortlessly mixed by this band gives me severe queen vibes. Queen was phenomenal in mixing elements and I haven’t heard a band effortless do that yet. The ability to change a song without having the audience immediately notice the element change is amazing. 2023 is the year of ST

Sleep Token is the only band where I love every single song they’ve released. Every. Single. One. 58 total I think. They don’t have recycled riffs, sampled melodys- it’s all unique messages, gorgeous lyrics documenting the human experience in a way, making me feel how I haven’t felt in a long time. My favorite song from them? The Night Does Not Belong to god, followed by Higher and When the Bough Breaks. But I love all of them. Truly both albums I listen to fully and regularly. They are not confined by genre or audience. They are driven by Worship. And I worship their art fully.

Saw them yesterday opening for Architects in Frankfurt, Germany. Never heard of them before and didnt like the songs on spotify that much but damn thats an awesome live band. You feel the chunky riffs in your chest, the culty masked people on the stage make an awesome atmosphere, the way the singer moves gives some chilly vibes. Solid 5/7
