Thank you! We love the watering system as well. We have to wash everything weekly after sand baths, or they smell like pond scum, but with the connection system, it is easy to clean, so it makes me very happy. They work great! Made in USA! Way to go!
I known about these cages for a while I'm Planning on raising quails and my choice of cage will be a Wynola Ranch cages, I believe it will be easier for me (older women) to maintain and clean.
Hello everyone! Just bought my first 6 tier cage from Wynola...my cages came with large red troughs and Im wondering if any of you could help with hose assembly for it...I can't find any videos!
Hello WTF, I made my own stacked cages but I do have one wynola ranch cage that I use for extras or an emergency cage. I would recommend that you go to dark non light filtering water tanks/reservoirs. Coolers work the best. It really helps cut back on any algae growth in the tanks and or tubing. I also really like horizontal nipples for watering the birds. ( I know Zack doesn’t like them, 🤣) Perfect clean water all the time. My guess is the Water troughs will be a pain to access and remove to clean. I wonder if they have shut offs before each trough to remove and clean? Well you asked for comments. I also have videos of my cages and water system on UA-cam if you are interested. Congrats on the upgrade!! 👍
We will be getting hose clamps to shut off the water without damaging the hose. We will do an updated video down the road of long-term impressions/review as well to give that feedback too. You bring up a lot of good points! We will be sure to note those in the later review and let you guys know!
I would really love to see you use Horizontal nipples in one of the 6 cages. It would be a great side by side comparison, to report back any difference in production or bird health. I would even send them to you. 🤣 I would do it but I don’t want to use troughs especially in winter.
Can’t find the water trough cover on there website what kind of feeder?Actually all the extra stuff I need to order or do I need to talk to the company? Was at first considering the other quail cage company. Thanks for your video.
Was wondering about a update on your rack how are you liking it was it what you where hoping for and with wife being shorter how is it with the top two racks
Brandon is 6’2” and he’s not able to see inside the feeder without the step ladder. So I definitely recommend getting one for this cage. Other than that we absolutely love it and it’s been working out great. We would highly recommend getting one.
How long from when you ordered did you receive your stacked cages? I just ordered but I "level stupid" excited! My eggs are in route and I have been managing an empty incubator for 2 weeks getting it to regulate.
I think a couple of weeks. It greatly depends on how busy they are. I believe right now is their busy season so it might take a little longer. It is well worth the wait though!
Great video!! Congrats on getting all those cages built and installed!!! I've considered the Wynola cages, but I'm set up with all Hatching Time cages right now. If we grow larger next year, i may consider trying out Wynola's cages. It looks like they've made a few improvements that take care of a few concerns I had in the past. Thanks again for doing this great build video!!!
We will be sure to do another video of long-term impressions as well. And of course we will keep in contact with Wynola with recommendations/concerns (if we have any) so they can continue to develop their systems with feedback from real quail keepers just like you and I!
If the trough long enough to where is you divided the cages into 4 sections they could all drink from it? All 4 cages in one section able to drink from the same trough?
It runs two thirds of the length of the cage so if the cage was divided into two or three section it would work well. They do offer a breeder cage that has dividers in it and separate doors on the front. They come in three sections per layer.
We really like the wynola cage. We have had the hatching time ones for a little over a year and have had a few issues with them breaking with the doors and the water system leaking. The wynola ranch system has been pretty solid, the only issue has been on our part with the water system getting plugged with small pieces of rage once when we filled the water container. I highly recommend wynola ranch cages.
@@SilverBackStacker oh no. I’m sorry. That’s per level. I misunderstood your question. In total they can hold up to 144 standard sized birds and up to 126 jumbo sized birds.
@@WhiskeyTangoFarms thank you! I’m sorry, I didn’t see the other comment about how many it would hold. Can the adapters to make it a breeder cage be bought separately, or do you have to buy either the Breeder cage or the community pen? If I understood the video correctly, it sounded like there’s dividers than can be added to the community cage.
You’ll want to get a breeder then convert to a community cage if you want both. You can also call wynola ranch and ask them to do community one one layer then breeders on the others.
There is multiple ways to raise quail, this is what works best for us to be able to shipp and share eggs with everyone. We love the idea of having an aviary and having them in a more natural environment, that just doesn't work for selling hatching eggs.

I considered the hatching time cages and then read reviews online, which changed my mind. Went with Wynola and I'm glad I did.
Just found your channel. Thank you for your video. This will make it so easy for us when we buy the same setup. Thanks again. All the best!
You’re welcome. We really do like these cages, best of luck on getting setup.

They are great housing for quail. I personally wouldn’t use anything else.

Sometimes our quail ride the struggle bus with the nipples lol.
Nice video. Thanks, for making and sharing your experience. How often do you need to clean the water trough?
Thank you
We cleaned them on a monthly basis.
The cages look awesome. I’ve got a set of cages from Wynola Ranch and no complaints.
We are loving them! I’m glad you like them too!

Can’t wait to get our cages.
Where are you getting your from?
I have same watering trough. How often do you have to clean it?

What is the price for these cages? I'm from The Netherlands and can not open the link to the seller. Great cages! Great video!
with the options we got I think it was right around 800 USD
I love WR cage, never had a problem
They’re great cages. Happy to hear you like them as well.
Where y'all go I haven't seen y'all post n a while
I didn’t see the option for the casters, I wish I would I love the casters
It’s a separate item on the website that you add to the order.
@@WhiskeyTangoFarms just check there out of stock, just called them to let know when back
Called number they were back online ordered two set s

how much did the cage setup cost? cant see on the wynola site since out of stock
I don't remember exactly but I want to say around $800 for everything.

Are they suitable for outdoors?
Can mice get into those holes if kept outdoors
You can keep them outside. They do offer covers for the front where the food and egg rollouts are. That should help keep mice out.

Hello Bandon, which of the two cages type do you prefer, the metal one or the plastic one

Thank you.
Do they have options to keep cats from getting the quail while they eat?
That sell a wire accessory that can go over the feed and egg roll out to protect from other animals.
Is this a six tier system set up on their website? If so, how many birds do you get in each level?
It should be. If it’s not they sometimes will take it down if they are getting too many orders.
So how many birds are you able to get on each level?
And are they standard or jumbo?
Thanks so much for taking the time!
@BecomingMoreSelfSufficient jumbos you can do about 18-20 and standards you can add a couple more to that.
30x48 rabbit cage used or new gives more room and helps build meat . also less expensive
Good to know thanks for the suggestion. What do you use for a poop tray the ones made for the rabbit cages? how does that work out for you?
Where do you get your birds? Are they shitin on each other underneath?
We sell quail on our website whiskeytangofarms.net they have trays underneath each layer to catch the manure.
How many cortunix quail can you fit in one of those 6 level cages?
Up to 24 standard and 20-21 jumbos
@@WhiskeyTangoFarms Wow, so only like 3-4 birds per level?
@@SilverBackStacker oh no. I’m sorry. That’s per level. I misunderstood your question. In total they can hold up to 144 standard sized birds and up to 126 jumbo sized birds.

No problem, sorry for the confusion.
what knife is that?
This is the CEO flipper from CRKT. here is a link to it. amzn.to/3MteEvJ
How bad is the smell with that many quail in a room like that? I want to use my (stand alone) garage to have them in
No smell really at all. We change the poop trays out every two-three days.
New sub 👋
Welcome!
My question do they poop in that water trough ever?
With the metal flap that covers them, it doesn’t get their waste in the water.
How many quail will the 6 tier gold?
18-20 quail per layer.
@@WhiskeyTangoFarms thank you! I’m sorry, I didn’t see the other comment about how many it would hold.

I will have to build me one
Now you can sell your plastic time cage to make up the cost of this
We’ll have the plastic cages for a little while until we can replace them all with wynola ranch ones.

To me they look so small and dark. Don't think I would like them. I like to see my animals have room to move and run. Thay look to egg factory for me

There are people keep quails for meat and eggs not just as for pets
Fine if you have a space that rats cannot access. The plastic cages are more of a battery cage and are a disaster.
Hatching Time cages SUCK!! I cannot wait to try these! Thank you!
Wynola ranch cages are great! you'll certainly enjoy them.
