I agree Kelly, of the two, the Blackhawk 2 Pro is the one you want.
After all the software update the exo mini and pro is amazing
At this point, buying a older DJI drone would be a better investment. It would be interesting when DJI has some real competition in the market (quality & price). We would benefit from it.

Nice review Kelly! I too found that my _initial_ EXO Mini Pro had worse horizon tilt than the Blackhawk 2 Pro. I did end up getting a different Mini Pro and it was much, much better (similar to the BH2 Pro), though still not completely gone. Still a good little drone if you have a desire for the
Thanks for sharing! I am really rooting for EXO, but they have got to fix some of these issues. Yes - I did the gimbal calibration in the app and it actually didn't make any difference. Even did it on a perfectly level surface. Only thing that really worked was to manually adjust the gimbal once in flight - then it would be OK until you landed and took off again. Not a great process, but it worked.

How come local stores doesn't sell the exo mini pro?
Good honest review Kelly. The Mini Pro doesn't seem to be as solid as the Blackhawk Pro 2 you reviewed recently. I know a lot of people prefer the Mini drones because of less restrictions on them, but I think there are better options out there at this price point. Pretty funny bit about putting the memory cards in hole with no card slot, and winding up in the battery bay. Thank for sharing Kelly.

Hi Kelly , we all have our own opinions and mine is it’s a Hubsan with all the same issues, it’s no competition, sad really as Exo had a good opportunity, also it’s price point is way off the mark, it’s a big save your money from me, thanks & regards

I think the altitude limit is adjustable in the app.

Does it actually get 45 minutes flight time?
You mentioned it needed to be in line of sight, any drone available with 45min fly time that doesn't need line of sight?
The line of sight rule is an FAA guideline. Currently, there aren't exceptions that I know of that we can easily take advantage of.
How much quieter is the Mini pro vs the Blackhawk Pro 2? I like both but we would like a little bit quieter drone for scouting hunting land. Is there a significant difference in sound?
I think you said to buy the DJI over the EXO. Correct me if I am wrong! I'm still not sure which drone I really want. I am looking for the best video quality I can get from a drone or one with a GoPro Hero 10 / 11 attached. Thanks for your video!
Usually, I generally like to show viewers how a product is, and let them decide, based on what they see. Having said that, DJI has a more reliable product, even with their cheaper options, like the mini 2, or mini SE, the video quality is hard to beat.
I'm all for competition, but you can't go wrong with a DJI drone.

I need unrestricted flights. Exo will not stop you from flying near airports. They leave that discretion to you if you get clearance or not. DJI will automatically not let you start up your drone if you're close to an airport or certain industrial areas. They will have control over your product.
Dji about to get banned in the US from what I'm hearing. Not to mention it doesn't work with android.
Does the battery have to be on 100% for it to fly??

I prefer drones that have SD Card slots. I use 64gb SD Cards and swap them regularly. This was a tip from someone else. If you lose the drone you still have footage from the swap out cards.
I would say this is somewhere around the Mini 2 competition. It doesn't have the camera of the Mini 2 but has Obstacle avoidance.
The saturation doesn't bother me as much as the high contrast.
Horizon tilt is a bummer.
If it costs more than the Mini 2 then do not consider it. I would take the Mini 2 since I do not rely on Obstacle avoidance.

I have a question that is not about this video I wanna get a Mobula6 HD 1S and it runs 250mAH batteries can I run 450mAh batteries on it?
Yes! Actually, I only fly 450mah batteries on my Mobula 6 HD. You'll have to get used to the heavier feel of the flight, but it works.
does it have geozone that the drone cannot fly in certain area?
As of right now, EXO doesn't restrict flights. The pilot is responsible for knowing the rules.
I don't mean to sound opinionated, but I think a DJI drone would be better. They have budget options like the Mini 2 SE or Mini 3. I am always a little skeptical to try any other drone brands. I've flown DJI drones for 7 years now and I think I will stick to those. What's your opinion about this?

Thanks for the review. I have ZERO experiance with Hubsan and/or EXO drones and am still perplexed as to why they have issues that should not exist in today's drones. The horizon tilt was, in my opinion, rather extreme. That said, can you adjust ISO, frame rate, white balance, and anything else to avoid the change in exposure? Just curious.
You can adjust those things - but, just like the gimbal level - it's not something that you should need to adjust. Thanks for watching and the comment!
PS, 😆 caution! The XO models have been through several companies that failed, 😄. And Note tye simularities in each model, basically the same drone

Yeah - if it were $200 cheaper, they would be onto something. But it's not enough price difference from the big guys to make it a compelling option.

Great review. But despite the marketing hype these are still Hubsan drones with typical Hubsan issues. Great hardware with mediocre firmware that eventually gets fixed. I have been a long Hubsan supporter having owned more than a dozen. Every time I get rid of my Z2P I'll find a great deal and get another. Exo claims of their involvement in the whole process of development seem overstated. These appear to be simple rebrands, like all of their previous product with a premium price tacked on for a paint job and decals. Now the less inexpensive Hubsan can't be purchased overseas and activated in the US and if you own a newer product like the Zino Mini Pro, support links all point to the Exo site. While their own CEO and press have said Exo was taking over US Hubsan support Exo says sorry only our branded product. From the overhype, over pricing, and not backing up their own claims Exo is not a company I'd trust.

Do you know what other brand makes holystone because holystone is not safe and won't honor their warranty actually doesn't have any way to register on their website for a warranty and it's not safe it goes out of control so I'm mentioning holystone because I wanna warn people the company don't care about their product or reputation I just hope holystone is not made by another company and I end up buying from them again

They didn't send us any more drones to review -- I guess we were too honest / negative. Even DJI stopped sending us drones to review a couple of years ago.
You will never convince me that EXO rebrand of other drones with the promise of some kind of support is a great thing. I'm not buying it. This is just an Hubsan Zino Mini Pro, which has been out for over a year and available on Amazon much cheaper. Same with the Hubsan Ace vs EXO Blackhawk 2.
