Wherever he's from, he's definitely not amongst the really poor people though as he has lots of power tools and other supplies. He could do so much for helping the poor in his area with his intelligence and creativity.

    This was really cool to watch and I understand why you used acrylic instead of metal so everyone could see the inner workings, I was really impressed that you built your own carburetor and reed valve especially with so many small carbs and reed valves available. I do agree with some of the other comments about fuel mixture control which would get a more stable run as well as more rpm but all in all it was successful and I was impressed with the whole build

    • @C4H10N4O2

      The air entering the carb doesn't seem to be fast enough for the jet size, and the gaz vaporize only partly. I bet it would run better with a smaller jet and a venturi.

    • @mikeypromail
      @mikeypromail 5 років тому

      A compressor is basically just an engine in reverse sort of. Example: The Freon Gas is sort of the "fuel" in a refrigerator compressor, the "exhaust" is liquid freon. Instead of the gas making an explosion and pushing down, the electric motor pushes up :)
      But yeah, extraordinarily good work and inginuity here

  • @ethancoy9237
    @ethancoy9237 5 років тому +54

    Well this is definitely something I've never seen done before and it's rather cool, but one of the major faults of this build is the acrylic, of course the cylinder head melted, its made of plastic. Another problem was the carburettor, you need a way of metering how much fuel comes through the jet so you can adjust the AFR (air fuel ratio) so the engine can run smoother and in general better, also normally in a 2 stroke engine the piston acts as a valve, which would mean there wouldn't be any need for the reed valve in the crank case, but overall you still managed to make it run which is pretty impressive in on it's own for it originally being a fridge compressor.

    Someone noted that this would be a good way to demonstrate a two-cycle engine to novices.
    My first thought was that this would be a cool project for a highschool shop class. But then I realized:
    1,Get project approved by school officials.
    2.Check if school insurance covers actual project.
    3. Environmental impact statement.
    4. Check with school security guards to see if a loud bang (in case of a blowout) would
    lock down the school. Will let security know when project is ready to run.
    6. Get permission from school health authorities.
    7. Submit budget to school administration to buy an old refrigerator compressor, protective clothing, gloves, breathing masks, hair covering and booties.
    8. Contact school lawyers to draw up documentation for parent/custodial parent/guardian/parole officer for the kids to actually learn something.
    9. Get legal paper signed by parent/custodial parent/guardian/parole officer.
    10. Purchase supplies. Provide authorization from school authorities to purchase gasoline, glue, and refrigerator compressor, which contained substances know by the State of California to cause tumors in rats, attach tag to compressor stating that it has a Prop. 65 warning by the State of California.
    11. Gather documentation, notify school security, notify school officials, notify school health authorities to have medical personnel on standby, check to see if school security notified Sheriff's Office.
    12. Assemble class, documentation, appropriate medical, legal, security personnel all in one room.
    13. Begin experiment.
    14. Department of Homeland Security shows up to check everyone's immigration status
    15. Department of Justice shows up, closes down experiment. A group of concerned parents allowed as how this experiment violated their religious principals and that they were sueing the school and the teacher for not getting permission from their shaman/TV preacher/witch doctor/rabbi/imam/TV physic (sic).
    I'm 80 years old, but I got a walker with wheels on it and I'm only 712 miles from the Mexican border and I know where there is an unguarded Rio Grande crossing. Ooopsie, I mean El Rio Bravo Del Norte, gotta watch it, it's the little things that can give you away.
    I think I can make it by sundown.

    I'd suggest adding a mixture adjustment screw. I'd probably use the metal fuel inlet piece as a drilling guide to get the pilot hole for the adjustment screw on center with the jet, then drill it out from the other side and tap it for the adjustment screw. The tapered end of the needle would then fit into the jet, allowing fuel flow to be adjusted.

Indeed I have heard and read that in India in the colonial era epidemics of diseases which kill quickly like cholera or plague finished off whole villages within days leaving the last few bodies uncared for. Now with better communications and medical relief epidemics of such scale or severity do not occur. On a lighter vein, since 80% of Indians are vegetarians, most Indian zombies would possibly attack trees, plants, crops or grocery shops.
