Hearing them talk sounds like old Hollywood movies. Their characters should have hooked up, especially there was tension. She called him snappy and verbose, probably turning her on and denying it. And he didn’t back down from her insults. Obviously, she needed a man since Pru never married and Feeny a widow needed to find new love. It would have been another great relationship in the show to have considering their past love life or lack off was revealed all in the same episode. Plus, it makes Topanga closer to her Aunt, while Feeny becomes her guardian at the same time.
@TheSassy2005 lol yep she is here. The woman who plays her aunt is actually a famous actress (Olivia Hussey) who played Juliet in the movie Romeo & Juliet decades ago. That's why they made her this character who was so cynical about love... it was supposed to be funny since Romeo & Juliet was the ultimate love story.
I believe that's called humor by playing against stereotype. Same thing happened in "Airplane!" where Barbara Billingsley spoke jive, going completely against her 1950s-1960s stereotype as June Cleaver, the "Leave It To Beaver" mom.
@Randy White She did, she made an excellent point about true love in undeveloped minds while defending her niece's right to stay. Instead of acknowledging that or addressing the point, he goes on some arrogant tirade on the audacity she would have to question him based on his years in the public school system. She had every damn right to question him, Topangas her family not his. His years in the public school system didn't qualify him to give that kind of advice to Corey and Topanga and Prudence called him out on it.
It’s not an actual audience it’s just sound efffect from the time the producers and directors hired an audience to do a prerecording as part of the show so they can use it as sound effects. They only use the live audience temporarily. After that they decided to cut off a live audience .
@@stephenpicart9266Yea they discussed this in Pod Meets World on their podcast recently about this episode actually and YES there was a live studio audience and a black screen that we don’t see behind Feeny’s house where Topanga was to surprise the audience which we hear in the crowds where she came in from the rain. So here there WAS a live studio audience for this episode. The sounds we hear are real.
I know many of you are referencing "Romeo and Juliet" which Olivia Hussey (Aunt Prudence) was in... And the only thing I can think of after watching this is "out of all the female virgins... God chose her to bear his son?" Olivia Hussey played the Virgin Mary in "Jesus of Nazareth."
Mr. Feeny kept an straight face while he and Prudence battle each other verbally I Love this series so many life long lessons if you value your life do not question Mr. George Feeny he knows everything He was very stern and strict in the first two seasons but as the show went on he was more understanding still Strict and stern but fair He even has the best Funny lines as well when he Did they were funny to hear and rewind just to hear them again LOL ALMO. Like when he told Amy and Alan that their children were the spawn of Satan or in Boston he stated that Eric had to catch the drink that encounter is so funny or when he saw Eric stuff the dummy in the locker and he ask Eric if he was an Dummy even the episode's end was funny when he found the dummy in his garden,. or the Feeny puppet was funny and cute as well, or when he said Wrong again Mr. Baboon Mr. Feeny? the legend continues and the chair spun around was completely on purpose,.
I lobe this show so much. It taught me so much to life as I grew up and is hilarious. So many episodes make me still cry and I definitely think this show is one of a lifetime. Keep em posting
First episode I ever saw of Boy Meets World. This wonderful episode is what made me feel in love with this wonderful series. No TV show will ever be as great
i miss the shows like this. they were so great. the tv shows they have now could never compare. This show....in my opinion...is one of the greatest ever made. i highly douobt anything they make today will ever top it.
this show shows how perfect life is. some episodes trail off but usually go back to life being the same. thats why i also like 8 simple rules because they had to deal with a loved one passing away.
hahahaa me and my sister would ALWAYS laugh at the person saying "yayyy" when cory says she's staying =) when we used to watch this episode!! LOVEEEEE boy meets world and love this episode!!!
I still laugh at the girls in the audience screaming when Topanga shows up at the door, then it's the guys turn to go "OOOOOOOHHHHHHH!" when Shawn walks in spilling the beans about the Sparrow sisters.
I love them. I would love to be in a relationship like Cory and Topanga. I thought I had one, but the guy I spent a 5 year relationship with moved away,so that didn't work out like I planned
They still should have. She already was past that age of getting married and hasn’t and he hasn’t moved on since losing his wife long time ago. Plus, they do care for Topanga-a shared interest.
in my opinion, this show is the only show that always had the real lessons to learn. it tought me lots that i wouldn't even think of sometimes. and cory did have to go through lots of tough times. he had to move on sometimes as well, it's just his weren't as big as most
You've gotta love this episode, because while they really want to use Topanga and Cory as a destined, starcrossed couple, the writing team is responsible enough to make them seem really remarkable, not standard (as a couple that is). So the real moral behind this episode, the one that the kids should be walking away with, IS the sensible things the adults are saying, while allowing for something like Cory and Topanga's relationship.
@mrmrskth The writers established that Topanga's parents were weird a long time ago :) Not to mention, there are parents who would allow their children to stay with relatives if they believed it was best for their child. I know of several in fact. So, maybe it is rare, but it does happen
@dustlandfairy She was born in Argentina, if that helps. She lived in England, the US, and a bunch of other places, so I imagine her accent has blended several different ones together.
She probably wanted to get some spanking. A woman never married and a man who has been a longtime widow. They should have hooked up, especially they share an interest in both caring for Topanga to stay in town.
The importance of Mr. Fenny believing in them when no one else would
Mr. Feeny has some great lines -
"Beg your pardon"
"Well then......there we are"
William Daniels and Olivia Hussey, two legends going back and forth!
Hearing them talk sounds like old Hollywood movies. Their characters should have hooked up, especially there was tension. She called him snappy and verbose, probably turning her on and denying it. I thought that was Olivia! Loved her in Black Christmas, IT, and Romeo and Juliet.

Do NOT question mr. George feeney!!!!! I want a podcast of fenney's lessons!
"She wouldn't even know who Romeo and Juliet were!" Alan opens the door, and there's Juliet herself! Perfect casting and set-up line!
"I'm verbose"....just such a gangster line coming from him
No it's kind of a little bitch line. Prudence put that pompous ass in his place
@Randy White She did, she made an excellent point about true love in undeveloped minds while defending her niece's right to stay. @@enjoyitbroBro, it's a tv show. It's not real.
"thats mr feeny.
he knows everything."
most true statement on earth .
I loved how someone in the audience screams "YAY" when Cory says "she said ur staying with me"
It’s not an actual audience it’s just sound efffect from the time the producers and directors hired an audience to do a prerecording as part of the show so they can use it as sound effects. They only use the live audience temporarily. After that they decided to cut off a live audience .
Not true.. that was an actual audience.. I’ve been to many tapings

The BATTLE between Mr. Feeny and Topanga's aunt! The greatest conversation in season 4!!! ^^
Without no doubt Cory and Topanga are one of the best couples in tv history :)
Shawn should have popped up and said," i told you it would work out."
"You like me?!"
"Well then, there we are."
lol
olivia hussey the most beautiful women in the world in her prime and still lovely :) forever lady juliet
WHAT!
and mary mother of jesus in jesus of nazareth
That was really cute how you could hear the audience yell Yay at the end right before they started clapping! lol
It’s a fake audience because it’s sound effects
"You like me?"
LOL, that's hilarious
“Stay out of this” Lol
0:29-1:11..... The best thing that Feeny has taught and will ever teach
Feeny gives the best lectures
He was my fav next to shawn and eric
for the last hour ive been crying my eyes out watching both oarts of this. such a beautiful episode!
The audience cheer at the end made me so happy
Once again it’s not a live audience. It’s just sound effects .
He called them my dears :')
Stephanie Yamoah He also did at the end of “The Eskimo”.
I've spoken to your parent and while I don't condone the exclusivity and intensity of this relationship"
first of all lady SHE IS NOT your child !!
wow...i can't believe that topoangas aunt was Juliet in the 1968 version
I like how even the parents are like you said what now?!
John Adams and the Virgin Mary in a battle of wits. Quite a scene.
lol my aunt know's nothing about Romeo and Juliet...I beg to differ

I LOVE ERIC! lmao
Topanga and Cory were always my favorite teen couple on tv
Feeny:
" I believe when you find love you hold on to it"
I have been holding on to mine for 3 years it feels great
"You like me?" He's so excited!
Is it just me or does the music at the end credits make everyone's eyes water. I miss those days! 90's were the best!
awh this show makes me long for what cory and topanga have! It's so cute, and it sends shivers down my spine!
I love how it meant so much to Cory that mr. fee you thought they loved each other
1:49, the way he says it. You know she's touched a nerve with him. I'd never try to argue with KITT, I mean... Mr. Feeny.
First episode I ever saw of Boy Meets World. This wonderful episode is what made me feel in love with this wonderful series. No TV show will ever be as great

I've watched boy meets world for forever and I STILL can not get over how unbelievably ADORABLE cory and topanga are.
lmao @ Feeny "well then there we are."

Noticed that aunt wasn’t at the wedding! 🤣😂
Favorite boy meets world episode, has me so emotional
3.07 Cory's face. You can see how much he loves her ❤
when prudence said feeny doesn't know everything, you knew shit was gonna go down
Prudence makes a great point on how its irresponsible to plant ideas of true love in young undeveloped minds
None held in high regard, than MR. MATTHEWS AND MISS LAWRENCE!!!!
OMG I MISS THIS SHOW SO MUCH
i have a teacher like him i have had him for 4 years he is amazing
I love the woman in the audience who keeps going, "Yey!" :)
It's a laugh track
@@khfan4492 no it wasn't. It was recorded in front of a live audience dummy.
I love them. I would love to be in a relationship like Cory and Topanga. I thought I had one, but the guy I spent a 5 year relationship with moved away,so that didn't work out like I planned
Feenys awesome quote "well then....there we are." LOL
...none held in higher regard that ms. lawrence and mr. matthews. you like me? stay out of this!
by calling Feeney "verbose" and "snappy," she was actually complementing him.
She wanted him
EPIC debate between Topanga's aunt and Mr Feeny begin
So... i cried! through part 1 and 2 :) I love boy meets world so much!
Hands down best episode ever!!
And srew all of you, her romeo and juliet was amazing!!!
im british and we never had this series in england xcept for a few episodes so its great to watch this its so cute! and the older bro is funny
If their wasn't such an age gap I would have liked to see a little romance between mr. feeny and topanga's aunt, that would be amusing!
They still should have. She already was past that age of getting married and hasn’t and he hasn’t moved on since losing his wife long time ago. Plus, they do care for Topanga-a shared interest.
This episo is one of the best and isn't the end theme cool?
The end theme is hauntingly beautiful.
This is the best and most amazing BMW episode ever.
in my opinion, this show is the only show that always had the real lessons to learn. it tought me lots that i wouldn't even think of sometimes. and cory did have to go through lots of tough times. he had to move on sometimes as well, it's just his weren't as big as most
Somewhere in the world there's a writer who's dancing and screaming "I'm a genius."
Did I just really ball during a Boy Meets World episode? Hell to the yes.
“You like me?!”😂
Sheesh, what's her problem with Cory?
You've gotta love this episode, because while they really want to use Topanga and Cory as a destined, starcrossed couple, the writing team is responsible enough to make them seem really remarkable, not standard (as a couple that is). So the real moral behind this episode, the one that the kids should be walking away with, IS the sensible things the adults are saying, while allowing for something like Cory and Topanga's relationship.
this show = LOVE!!!!!
The day I meet my Topanga I will never let her go
Mr feeney & aunt prudence, that woulda been something
i would LOVE to have a teacher like feeny! he's so nice & smart & will help you with anything & everything. he always has the answer.
Prudence was a savage 😂
lol
i like how that person in the audience was like yay
thats what i would have done if i had been there
Feeny and corys mom saved their day
I miss this show so much
@mrmrskth The writers established that Topanga's parents were weird a long time ago :) Not to mention, there are parents who would allow their children to stay with relatives if they believed it was best for their child. I know of several in fact. So, maybe it is rare, but it does happen
The aunt played Julia Capulet in the 1968 film, Romeo & Juliet. thats a pretty funny fact.
You think anybody realises that Romeo and Juliet was intended as a cautionary tale of what not to do in a relationship?
this made me cry
I hate that on the dvds they take out the end credits to this episode and the grass is always greener.
i agree soooo much.
XD
there isn't even a comparison!
don't worry just do your thing and if she comes back it was meant to be.
The best episode in Boy Meets World history. For real. Well.. episodes. ugh just...lsadk;gjopawuigjl;k amazing.
it would have been so funny for Feeny to just say "well you're a bitch." haha
Damn Mr. Feeney low key got flamed
He deserved it he was a pompous ass
Well, maybe he thought she'd change her mind after he reminded her?
Shawn was right after all.
@dustlandfairy
She was born in Argentina, if that helps. She lived in England, the US, and a bunch of other places, so I imagine her accent has blended several different ones together.
cory and topanga make me believe true love really does exist
Favorite Episode I think
I miss Boy Meets world
Oh SNAP! Her aunt did NOT talk to Feeny like that!
No Topanga said, "She's never been in love, never been married and wouldn't know who Romeo and Juliet were"
Topanga can't move it just isn't right it wouldn't be Boy Meets World without Topanga
wow best episode shawn was funny it was cute it was like holy shit damn!!! and it was sad :,( lol amazing!!!
love the pics at the end
feenys about to lay the smack down on aunt prudence you can tell he just wanted to smack her in the face
She probably wanted to get some spanking. A woman never married and a man who has been a longtime widow. They should have hooked up, especially they share an interest in both caring for Topanga to stay in town.
feenie knows everything...
aweee , topanga & cory forever :)
they're my favourite tv couple !
