Viewed your review of the Vion sunshade and was impressed with your results. Purchased one for my Model Y Performance and although I have no instrumentation to check temperatures, found that our vehicle was definitely cooler in our 90 to 95 degree or hotter Utah summer. I can attest to the improved cooling results. Thanks Cody.
I don’t really do reviews or posting, after trying about 3 with VION being my 4th this is honestly the best thing to near perfect, no sagging, clean and sleek fit , definitely cooler than others I tried and the tutorial was awesome. Thanks for making life easy.
how long have you use this shade? does it stay on good ? doesn't fall off? i just installed mine today. install wasn't easy but not super hard. the clips are a pain. thanks help is appreciate.
@cftesla - Great review. In the video you mentioned it was cloudy and the temperature was cool the day you filmed, and you didn’t test the temperature. What have you learned about its ability to reduce the interior temperature (if anything at all)? I live in a place the is very hot in the summer (100+ degrees) and am curious.
Just received these sunshades. But I'm unable to squeeze the clips between the glass and plastic trim on our 23 Model Y.. Wonder if there's a solution ?
This video is linked in the installation instructions by Vion so is it really a review oe more like a contracted video. Ps didnt really show how to install clips!!
Hi Chris.. Thanks for this video and the discount. I just placed my order. I even got free shipping - so grand total $53.10. This is a bargain - half what it costs from Tesla.
Yo, just ordered this. Thank you! I have tried about 4 others now and they just sag and the magnetic suction cups to help the sag always fall off. I’m super hyped to get this product in! 🍻
Hey, great video. Thanks for the review. What are the circle/puck things on the back of your front seats in between the headrest and the seat? They look like MagSafe chargers but not sure.
I purchased this for my model 3 2021 standard range plus. But I’m noticing I have a middle area on my roof that separates the front and back areas with a doom light. Did I buy the wrong one because your video also does not include the middle doom light part?
Thanks man for the discount code, I just ordered mine for my model 3, I wish the could be black color but I guess that’s ok since they match the oem interior color.
Thank you for this review. I think I'm 90% sold. May I ask --- does it have a smell? Are the materials safe to the point where it won't fume anything hazardous in the heat of the car?
We’ll if you have the budget the sliding kind offer the ability to open them and have the sky visible easily. But if on a budget then these are perfect
I would like to ask if this sunshade can be use for camping? To block the sun and helps the inside of the car get darker especially in the morning? Thanks again
Chris, thanks for the great content! I bought on Amazon but I know you don’t get $ for that. I have watched many of your videos and recommend to my other Tesla friends. Can I buy you a cup of coffee?
I'm 6'3 with an unusually long torso (29" inseam - I look like a giant Oompa Loompa) and I drove a Model Y for the first time the other day. It seemed like I had a mile of room over my head. Hope that helps.
mine came with extra clips and two that are twice as large as those shown for the gap between for the joint of the two shades. I have three across the front and other extra clips else where. the only problems were: 1. Un-knowingly trying to install the clip on the shade where the steel rings were joined together. 2. lack of space between the frame and roof glass on the passenger side. by the way, excellent video!
Did you test it in the middle of the sun shining? I wouldn't think it would help much on the ambient temperature, but it may help when sitting out directly in the sun. I have seen interior temperatures of 163° with no Cabin Overheat Protection on.
The most important question I have is if it does block heat when you are driving in hot summer sunny day? In your list of "Are they any good" list, you did not have heat protection which is my main objective.
What a surprise “weather is not hot”. You could have just waited and when editing the video added that part. But then again those results might have killed the sales pitch. I’ll pass

Excellent video. Bought and installed the product in my wife's Model 3 and she loves it. Thanks!

I’m hoping with increased competition Tesla will feel the necessity to offer common luxuries like an automatic sun shade and cooled seats.

Made a dramatic effect in our model 3. Very good product for sure.

Find a spot nearby where they insert OK. Then slide closer to where you wanted them.

@cftesla Thanks, man. I had no clue how to fold these lol.

Awesome! I am Cody by the way lol. Chris is Dirty Tesla
i just ordered this and I loved it. I almost bought the motorized version, but this will do for sure.
Do they stay secured while driving with the windows down?
The frame seems to stay secured but the material billows.

Been using this ever since and still going strong!

i recommend this product. i have it for a month now and it stays and no noise when driving in the service street adn freeway.
Thanks for comment
How is it with the windows down any noise do they say in place ?
No noise at all. They are solid
In my Model Y, the frame seems secure but the material billows, particularly in the rear. No obvious noise.
They look very nice installed. ✅
I think so too!
Thank you for this review. I think I'm 90% sold.
May I ask --- does it have a smell? Are the materials safe to the point where it won't fume anything hazardous in the heat of the car?
No smell yet. They claim the use this material specifically for this reason. Excellent feedback so far
just ordered...will let you know how it goes
Which stand you have for the tablets on the back?
Do you prefer this style or the sliding style?
We’ll if you have the budget the sliding kind offer the ability to open them and have the sky visible easily. But if on a budget then these are perfect
So what Are the black pieces for?
Anyone know if these will work with the new 2024 model 3 performance?
I would like to ask if this sunshade can be use for camping? To block the sun and helps the inside of the car get darker especially in the morning? Thanks again
Any idea when they’ll have this for model 3?
Very soon. Keep watching the channel. I will review and discount them as soon as they are out
Wow, it looks great. Thanks for posting 👍
Just bought for my Model Y thanks!
Hope you enjoy it!
Your discount code is not valid when I tried to order on Amazon.
Maybe because it's already marked down 14% which makes it $59 instead of $69
I LOVE you, man. Now I can store mine 😅
Does the joint between the two pieces make noise/rub/squeak in any way as you drive?
Nope none. Even if they moved while driving the material would prevent any noise
Chris, thanks for the great content! I bought on Amazon but I know you don’t get $ for that. I have watched many of your videos and recommend to my other Tesla friends. Can I buy you a cup of coffee?
It does match the interior, but I would have gone for the retractable sunshades and so you still have some light or full shades
Those are nice. We like them but they are many times more expensive. Just depends on one’s budget
@@CfTeslaDo these have any light bleed thru ?
These are great. Could be my imagination but the car seems quieter. Thanks
Glad you like them!
Where do you use the big clips?
In the middle between the two pieces
I'm curious how much it reduces headroom for the taller (6'3"+) drivers - is there any sag?
No sag at all. I am 6’1” and you can see all the room above ne
@@CfTesla thank you. I enjoy your channel. Nice job.

Lol no temp difference reading...that's like the most important thing.
That sun roof is the only thing thats keeping me from getting the model y

2018 Model S option?
Not yet. Working on new options I hear
I purchased a set for my Model Y on your recommendation. Thank You
Too bad it is not available in canada!
Comes down if you have all windows open
I have it installed on my Tesla and it didn't help at all still have the same temperature

Like I mentioned the sun didn’t come out on recording day but they make a huge difference. I will record a short soon showing the difference
Okay, now this product looks better than many others I've seen. But even with your discount it's still a bit pricey.
These guys have been working on getting this right for some time. The good ones are priced to makeup for the expense of making them good
69.00 is pricey?
@@dkrink3 I think so.
