    Do you find a difference between the nylon plate vs the aluminum plate?

  • @RollsRight8
    @RollsRight8 3 роки тому +7

    Agility is determined by a few factors (1) the mount of the plate (2) the angle of the bolt-pivot/kingpin and (3) cushion hardness. Were there differences in these areas?

    • @LynleyCat
      @LynleyCat 3 роки тому +1

      Yes this -> the CUSHIONS tho…
      Stock MLR 90A cushions vs Lollys med powerdynes so using same brand /duro cushions would be awesome comparision of plates/setup agility imo!
      -> i do get comparing ‘outta box’ cuz i rave at moonlights outta box
      BUT I have yet to see a setup

    What "level" skater do you think you are?
    What kind of skating do you currently do?
    What would make your current use case experience better?

      I would say I am a beginner to intermediate skill level.
      I currently am working on learning artistic skating, jam skating, and trail skating. I occasionally go to the skate park as well. I'm trying to learn all areas of skating, so I can really figure out what I enjoy and want to focus on most.

      Thank you! I purchased them through XoNeloXoNaija on Etsy, and her instagram handle is @shop.xo.nelo.xo.naija :) I would definitely recommend them, I have been skating with them almost every day for 10 moths, and they have held up amazingly. Very high quality and you are supporting a small business!

    Thats so crazy i would have thought the nylon plate moxi would be way lighter than that aluminum plate on the moonboot skate 🤔

    do moxis stretch out after a few hours of use? I’m a 6.5/7 in women’s and I’m a bit if a wide foot, so I’m not too sure whether to go with the 5s or 6s 😭

    • @heyalisia714
      @heyalisia714  3 роки тому +2

      They don't really have a break in time so I would say that how they fit out of the box is pretty much how they are going to fit, with the exception of maybe a little tiny bit of stretching out. I would go with a size 6, a lot of skate socks are also very thick so you want to account for that as well :) good luck on your skate journey!

      I'm a size 8 in women's shoes, also wide, and my lolly's are a size 6. They fit me like a dream, so depending on your foot, the 6 might be sloppy on a women's size 7. 🤷🏻‍♀️

      Use rubbing alcohol to stretch the lolly, you’re definitely a 5 though. I’m a 7.5 8 and I had to use alcohol and a wooden last to stretch out the toes on mine because my foot is so narrow

    Love your comparisons !! I have heard that the fit of the lolly is just perfect for many that have it as you said like an extension of your foot ! .... And that the moonboot itself is better than the skate as a whole... For reference I have neither but I have the Sure Grip golden hours with wide feet and I love them so far !

    Your legs got tired faster in the Moonlight Roller boots. Was there a difference in exhaustion rate when going forwards vs going backwards? Is there a difference in the heel height?
    _Trying to draw some more info out from your experience._

    • @heyalisia714
      @heyalisia714  3 роки тому

      I unfortunately cannot find the exact measurements on the heel height, so I'm not sure if there is a difference there. I would say after the break-in time there is not a huge difference. For me, I was able to skate in the Moxi's for a longer period of time because of the way the Moonboots fit on my foot. There is one spot on the side of my foot that gets pushed on while I'm skating that starts to hurt when skating log distances.

      Hi there! Yes, both boots are a size 7. I am usually an 8.5 in Women, but since both companies size their skates in Men sizes, I went with the size 7 and they both fit perfectly!
