This is one of the most helpful and practical and beginner informative skate compare videos I came across. Based on my research, decided on the Chaya as my first pair since Moxi Lolly’s and Moonlight rollers are hard to come by. Thank You!
Thank you! I am so glad it was helpful. Was hoping people didn’t end up just being more confused. Lolol! Hope you love your skates. I’ve heard great things about the Chaya’s. 💜🦋
I’ve been skating for almost a year, and have enjoyed your videos along the way. I skate in the rink, and on the courts and street, so it helps to see a review from someone who does the same thing. I have a pair of Lollys and Panthers, but I’ve had my eye on the Moonlights too. Your review of the boot helps, as I’d like the wider toe box, extra cushion and tongue tab (the Lolly tongue shift drives me nuts sometimes!). Happy rolling and thanks for the videos. ❤️ You’re such a cool mom 😉
Thank you for doing a update video! I’ve wide feet and I prefer chill cruising but wish to learn some “easy” (I know it’s hard) transition tricks... so I guess moonlight roller for me right? Hahahaha can’t wait for them to restock my size.
Hi! The Moon Lights are totally fine for cruising and transitions and better than Moxi’s for wide feet. I wish I would have mentioned though that you would need to upgrade the wheels to outdoor ones. There are other skates that are less expensive, good for wide feet and outdoor ready like the Sure Grip Boardwalks rstyle.me/+q_o56tuVzLCa1sEbmCx91A Hope this helps. 💜🦋
Hi Hi, Tani, Great Vid as Always! :D Big Big THX fer posting all of the Links, since I was curious about the VNLAs, the Bonts! OH, and as Always, GREAT SOX!!! ;) :D O:)
Such a bummer! I’m sure mine will start taking quite a beating once I start trail skating in them again. I need to switch their wheels back to outdoor ones. 💜
They're based on a chinese brand which is actually very good quality compared to other products from Asia, like Impala. There are few different shapes around if you take a closer look. These have the nicest cut IMO and also fit really well.
Depends on the type of dance skating you want to do! You can contact Adrienne Schreiber with department of skate and she can help you! deptofskate.com/
I want to get back into skating after I've skating for a while. I want to trail skate and maybe start Park skating. I liked the bonts but they're really expensive and the moonlight looked okay
Could you share the heel height of the moonlight roller? I cant find that info anywhere. Ty for these, the moonlights are so gorgeous but im worried the heel may be too high and cause me issues.
I’m not sure the exact height but I’m guessing they’re no higher than a standard heeled boot. I will say though that you can get better quality now and the company has had some sketchy business practices that have come to light. I personally do love how they look but don’t recommend now. 🖤
@@Tani.Coy.RollerMama I just tried Bont Parkstars 23mm heel and I really like them. I don't think I could do a heel. I did read a bunch about that, it's crazy. It's really too bad because they're so cute and sound really comfortable. I think if I ever find a cheap used pair that's the only way I'd buy them.
Thank you! 💓 Here is a link for the purple and pink rstyle.me/cz-n/fcupyadcjax And then the orange rstyle.me/cz-n/fcuptzdcjax I love them both so much! They are super soft and vibrant. 💜🦋
I'm worried about the ankle support in the Lollys? I like the idea of the Lollys because I have EDS so my skin is incredibly soft and breakable and the Beach Bunny skates slightly scared me off because they are harder to break in and you require more strength to move since they are stiffer and I don't have a lot of strength BUT I also have weak ankles? How do you find the Lollys on your weak ankles for dance skating outside?
Lollys are not supportive ankle wise which is why I have more of an artistic boot too. For rhythm skating I find them to be fine but not for artistic. You could always talk to a reputable skate shop and they can guide you to the perfect boot for you! Adrienne Shreiber at deptofskate.com is incredible! 💜🦋
They should work just fine for starting out. I think their ones now have some improvements. There are better options for the money but a lot of people like theirs. I like mine for trail skating. 💓
@@Tani.Coy.RollerMama Perhaps the prices have changed but it seems like your less expensive recommendations are more expensive (ie Bont) or close in price like Chaya Deluxe to Moonlight.
I think it really comes down to personal preference and the type of skating you will be doing. The plate on Moxi is better but I’ve heard that they will be or maybe already have improved the plate on the Moonlight. Overall the Moxi is said by professionals to be better but that neither skates are great. I like mine just fine for what I use them for though. Moonlights for outdoor trail skating, Moxi’s for rhythm style. 💜
Hello! I am an artistic and cruise skater, what kind of skates do you recommend that have good support for jumps and is still relatively cheap! Thankyou!
Since you plan on jumping it is very important that you get a setup that is specifically made for that style of skating to lessen the risk of injury. My advice is to talk to reputable skate shops or your coach if you have one. I’ve heard good things about Edea, Reidell, Jackson and there are more. But since so much goes into picking the correct boot based on ability, goals, foot shape and much more I highly recommend a professional opinion. Hope this was helpful and that you find something you are happy with. 💓

I’m sorry. It’s really hard to keep up with because most of the time the skates are out of stock. I’ll go back and try to update them soon. Thank you for letting me know. 💜
I have personally not had a problem with separation but I have heard of more problems coming up lately. I’m sure with the pressure to produce more skates very rapidly it has caused a little bit of an issue with quality in production. I thought that the Moxi’s were stitched to the heel but I couldn’t find anything to confirm this. I’ve heard wonderful things about Sure Grip Boardwalks across the board. Great plates, trucks, wheels, and overall quality. And I’m pretty sure those are stitched to the heel and land at a better price point as well. 💜
