Why stop with dark green?! Bring back car colors! Makes me think that "50 Shades of Gray" is a story about cars.. And while we're at it, let's bring back color inside the car, too!
El Dorado, Charger, Toronado, Thunderbird, Skylark, Cordoba, Mark, Sebring, Regal, Cougar, Cutlass supreme, Riviera...and on and on... Somehow a huge percentage of cars were coupes or 2-door sedans. How is it possible there is not a single grown up version of these cars for sale today? Mustangs and Camaros are fun to look at but I want a grown up car, a 2 door with some class. And please not another boring crossover
1967, first year for the 430 cubic inch V8. Pilarless roof, gorgeous lines and doors close like bank vaults. Get the dual bucket seats with console shift/console tach, you won't regret it.
My dad bought his first new car in 1967-a Buick Wildcat. He drove that beautiful beast for 23 years, and put over 300K miles on it...never had any serious engine/transmission work...two sets of U-joints were the only repairs, other than routine maintenance. That huge vehicle had a 430ci V8, 360hp. It moved down the road very quickly! Got 12-16mpg...and nobody cared about mpg back then, when gas was like 35 cents a gallon! There was a period of time--from the early 1960s, thru the very early 1970s, when American vehicles were simply the finest, reliable, and good-looking cars in the world!
Was Buick afraid to show the entire car, you can't even get a good look at the car, they only show close ups and the front end. I guess it's a tease, to get you to come down to the dealer and actually see what it looks like.
Remember, that thing is 19 feet long! If they pulled back that far the people washing the car would be too small to see. HA! Back when Buicks and all American cars were sold by the foot & by the pound! 😬 ua-cam.com/users/sgaming/emoji/7ff574f2/emoji_u1f601.png
I don't think so. a sleeper is usually a very plain car that you'd expect to be a 4 or 6 cylinder...there's nothing about a "Wildcat" that projects "sleeper"
I want to know the engine and interior features. 😜 guess this was how it was done in the past when gas, weight, and size were not an issue with cars. 😜
@@Cimmerian415 At age 19, I took my dad's new 67 Wildcat down to a local, informal "drag-strip", and raced it against a 1966 GTO...I could stay with that "Goat" up to 60 mph, no problem. For such a large vehicle, the Buick could really fly, with that powerful V8.
That was back in the day that just one look at the front end and the back end , you knew what year it was.
That's my Buick 1967 wildcat but I like them in two doors in also convertibles but in warm climate weather. Not in winter weather
Love the 1967 fast back look of these full size GM coupes.
I never knew about the Buick Wildcat until this video! Learn something new every day...
My uncle's best friend had a 67. When I was a kid. I would fall asleep in the back. Like a couch..
I love buicks i have 2 68 Rivieras i will get a 63 wildcat
Thanks, enjoyed that. Beautiful car!
When cars were cars.
Washing the car in the middle of a field? I love old advertising.
The good ol' days, when you could actually press down on the car when you were washing it (without the fear of bending something)!
I miss the days when a Buick was a Buick, not a restyled Chevy truck...
Assembled in South Korea 😮
Bring back dark green cars.

They need to bring back the Wildcat

and still hot today
My '67 2 door LeSabre 400 special was often guessed as a Wildcat. Should have never sold that car
I sure hope to God that they didn't trash them all. It would indeed be a shame!

This is a case of, as they say on Madison Ave, selling the sizzle, not the steak.. 🥩
@@trudygreer2491 Yup...and there just had to be a hot chick close by!
Same crew washing the '68 LeSabre?!
