My Father bought a brand new 1967 Buick Wildcat (Dark Green with Black Interior). I am not sure of the power plant, but I knew it was a big V8. Seeing the car again brings back some fond memories of family vacations and adventures.

A marvelous presentation, Peter! Thank you! By the time I was growing up in the 1970s, Buicks were already stodgy "old man" cars, but the late 1960s were some of Buick's best vehicles with elegant yet sporty styling. I don't see many classic cars on the roads today, but interestingly, I have seen a few different late 1960s Electra models in convertible and four door sedan versions on my local roads during nice weather. These cars really capture my attention, and yes, I gave a "thumbs up" to an Electra driver a couple of years ago! And I am glad you bring that up at the end regarding environmental concerns. I have a classic car myself, and yes, one needs to think how it is being used sparingly, and instead of disposing of it, it continues to give pleasure. Let it live out its life, which will be a long one! And let us have some enjoyment in this imperfect world. It's too bad that more Americans do not have the typical perspective of car maintenance that you observe in the video. Yes, "as long as it runs" can be the attitude, but I treat a car as a point of enjoyment, and want it to be in the best functioning condition that I can have it in. Thank you for preserving this car!

My 67 Special Deluxe is the same two tone K code Aqua Mist L code Shadow Turquoise. This is the 4th 67 I have seen with this color combo.

The Special Deluxe is a great looking car with its forward-leaning prow. It always looked much bigger than it's cousins at other GM divisions, and has a more sensible size than the larger cars. Growing up, neighbors two doors down had a Skylark in light blue with white top. I like prefer the look of the Special without the skirts. My Dad had a '64 and then a '68, the second I remember well, but I didn't like the fussy look of the redesign. Yes, the Shadow Turquoise seems to be a distinct color I associate with the 1967 Buick models.

@manofthehour6856 In 67, only 284 came with the two-tone paint in the Deluxe model. Buick didn't keep records tell 1970. This info is from daily production sheets.
