Cube was actually trying to rap like the East Coast cats at first. He was heavily influenced by the Beastie Boys. In fact, when he left NWA he went to New York to let the Beastie Boys producer do his first album. He got stood up and ran into Chuck D. Chuck told Cube to let the Bomb Squad produce his record and the rest was history. That’s why you hear Flava Flav on Cubes first album.
Yooo by far the most realist gangster rap ever, I grew up listening to these, obviously I was listening to slick rock, mc lyte, mc Shan, kid N play, ll cool j, ice T and public enemy,, yo still get goosebumps when I listen to these but N.W.A were absolute 🔥, NEXT LEVEL BY FAR, I’d never heard anything like it, I went my mates house and played it for them cos they had never heard of n.w.a and when I was asked what n.w.a meant I told them Niggas with attitude they actually laughed at me cos no way did they believe me🤣🤣🤣I’ve still got all the albums, Eazy E was siiickkkk what a rapper, ice cube, damn that shit was dope,, then last but not least Dr Dre, he doesn’t need no introduction, he’s a god, nothing else to say, I’m 51 years old at the end of may and I’ve never even seen any of them live in concert, been a dream of mine since the very first time I heard Straight outta Compton but I’ve never been able to afford it 😞absolutely devastated about it…it’s gotta be reunion time soon for them…gotta get some banger out again, LEDGENDS BY FAR
Sir jinx is Underrated
His group C.I.A had some killer songs
Sir jix!!!and warren g are the two most underrated people in music for bringing snoop and Cube to the game.
Ice Cube is a great story teller
NWA was the most influence back then
if Ice cube made it that big, he is an inspiration I too I'm off beat at this moment 😂
I doubt you can write like cube, but keep trying.
