As a former rapper myself, of the top 5 diss tracks in rap and hip-hop, my list is as follows:
    5. Canibus - 2nd round KO
(a rookie featherweight going against a super heavyweight)
    4. 50 Cent - Your Life's On The Line
(Ja Rule started falling immediately after this song's release)
    3. Tupac - Hit 'Em Up
(still one of the most violent and disrespectful songs ever made)
    2. Nas - Ether
(he bodied the entire roster of Roc A Fella by himself when they were at their highest point)
    1. Ice Cube - No Vaseline
(1 v 4 and no response ever. Nuff said)

      4. Nail In The Coffin - Eminem
      3. Ice Cube - No Vaseline
      2. Nas - Ether

Imagine Heller disagreeing with his portrayal in straight out of Compton. The problem was Heller was a lifelong industry shill he genuinely saw nothing wrong with the predatory practices of the industry or his roll as a parasite. Unfortunately he was also operating under a false understanding of how the group functioned his experience with rock groups led him to believe as long as he kept the lead vocalist happy the others would have no choice but to fall in line. Cube quickly disabused him of that notion because while all the members were talented Cube's pen and Dre's ear were what really drove their success.

A. at the end you still can’t play me and that got them mad so on NWA’s second album ZAGGIN4 they dissed Cube on the first side of the album from the intro where KMG give it up to the real ruthless gangstas their no mob, that was directly at Cube he had group or a called Da Lench Mob, on another song Alwayz into Somethin’ Dre said that Ren told him that I speaking to yo b**ch O’Shea which is Cube’s real name and after they did a skit calling him a Benedict Arnold with other people chiming in and the song Real N***az Ren,Dre and, Eazy went in on him and, of course Cube clapped back where he saved the best for last on The Deafh Certificate album on No Vaseline where he took all of them out including Jerry Heller and there were no rebuttals and after that the group broke up end of story.

It's not anti-Semitic. He is making accusing his former crew members of being race traitors for having a white, Jewish manager instead of a racially pure black manager, he has no problem with Jews generally as long as they stay far away from him and don't interact with him except maybe as a fan.
Still not as good as Ether, Hit Them Up, Meet the Grahams, or Not Like Us.

A diss track is only as good as the MC it’s challenging. For all its cultural significance NWA was a group with no rappers after cube left! Dre don’t rap, Eazy a drug dealer, Yella a DJ and REN a shooter with a cool cadence. How you diss the group you ghost write for? Like you dissing yourself. It can never be as good as Tupac’s ‘Hit’em up’, Nas’s ‘Ether’, KRS One ‘Bridge is Over’ each of those songs went at the best MC in the game. Love NWA, but the best they were not!

Ice cube want to be on both sides of he wants to diss NWA and then he wants to support NWA which one is it and collect their awards for their accomplishments and then go on stage and perform no Vaseline. Ice cube shouldn't never talk about anybody fucking peoples money up when he has fucked over so many people on their money . The most overrated diss of all times
People act as if he destroyed a whole other crew of formidable lyricist, he was a one time insider that told a bunch shit about the crew that people didn’t know, and he played victim he provoked their diss towards him with that America’s most wanted outtro diss “ Yo Cube now you solo what happened to the re-“ click! He hangs up like fuck them! He knew that would draw their ire and they were suckers and fell for it with the Benedict Arnold shit then comes no Vaseline, there was no internet then and Cube knew people felt he abandoned them so he set it all up
🤔 always wondered if they hadn’t bombed 1st how battle tested would Cube be, because Cypress and Common held their own against him He was just being reckless and trying to stay relevant with that Westside Connection shit…..and Cube gets way too much credit for crushing His Own crew!
