Paris, France. 10x KONE Escalator ride at Printemps Nation Department store

Department store escalators - Modern edition!
We take a POV ride on 10x Kone escalators in the Printemps Department store at Nation, Paris, France. This is a good sized store that was refurbished in 2016-17. These Kone TravelMaster 110s replaced some vintage old gold / brass coloured Otis escalators with black backed smooth steps - they put out a video with Kone back in 2016 showing the works. I’d like to have been able to film the old escalators as they were nice, but reliability went down…

*Primtemps also have another location in Paris (the huge stores Printemps - Haussmann in the centre of Paris City). This is a smaller store. The other store is split into 3 linked buildings, Mens (10 floors high!), Home and Ladies. They have new- ish Schindler escalators (installed just before these Kones) and Otis escalators between them. A few of the old Otis escalators remained on upper floors in the ladies store - they ride perfectly but reliability is an issue. There will be videos some time soon…
Also coming will be a video of many escalators in the Nation Station (on the RER / Metro)…
