- There are 2 banks of escalators. Otis and Westinghouse. There is a third bank that starts on a closed floor that you can still see at 12 if you take the elevator.
The 4th Floor Was Closed Sometime After I Filmed And In January 2017 The Whole Store Closed.

This store was originally The Dayton Company...."DAYTON'S " until March 2001 when "Target" rebranded it as Marshall Field's...it became a macy*s in September 2006...as a result of The MAY Department Stores Company merger with Federated Department Stores. I believe macy*s closed this store around March 2016. At one point, this DAYTON'S store was one of the largest in the nation with over 1 million square feet of space. I believe it had at least 9 retail floors including the Basement. When macy*s took over they cut the retail space in half. The W-Westinghouse Escalators shown at the start of this video are similar to the ones in Marshall Field's Chicago State Street Store. I believe they were installed around 1942 for The Dayton Company.
I LOVE the VINTAGE 1950's Westinghouse Escalators Here!! GOLD MONE!!
I miss this place so much 😭😭
Former Dayton's/Marshall Field's
Kinda like Downtown Seattle Before 2016!
B-6 Was Westinghouse, 6-8 was Otis.
@@ziadel-guindy3446 I was never in the Seattle store, however I wish I could've gotten there before it closed.
