    I believe for someone to experience a good picture with the old update they couldn’t have updated. Many of us that update for the perspective mode saw that. And even when you go back to the pre perspective it didn’t go back to what it was. Thanks for all the work

    When you were adjusting the focus, is it just for the rays up close (10-15')? Did you notice it improving the ray alignment further out?

      @The_Garmin_Guru  2 роки тому

      It improves all the rays. It’s a fine tuning detail bud.

      @The_Garmin_Guru  2 роки тому

      That’s what it’s on and does a good job for the most part but this is is just to
      Fine tune it a little

    The salt water/fresh water selection is the giveaway.... Its adjusting the soundspeed to suit whether you are in SALT/FRESH water (soundspeed is different depending upon the water salinity). The water temperature also affects the sound speed (hence the inbuilt water temp sensor). The standard for multibeam/single beam soundspeed is 1500m/s for salt water at 25degrees C, its 1481m/s for freshwater. At the Garmin setting of 128, the soundspeed calibration is 0 (ie no deviation from 25degreesC). The sound speed calibration also affects the actual range hence the further targets moving towards/away as the slider is moved from 0 to 255.
