I feel like Conor has become everything he preached against
he became everything he wanted to be
Yup
He once said he would lose his mind like a mad man in the process of being in this sport... get rich and get out again... sounds to me he did what he was preaching
Cocaine is a hell of a drug
😂 at the woman outside the court that shouted "Connor you have an anger problem "😂
All of his ridiculous antics like busting up the tour bus falls under the category of "hype" and it's not a big deal in my book. It's part of the game to drive up sales of pay-per-view tickets. Not a problem. I look past all that.
But Connor punched an old man in a bar just because the guy didn't want to try Connor's new whiskey brand.
FFS, anyone who punches an old man over something so trivial, LET ALONE a professional fighter, is a trash human.
Connor's ego was so big he couldn't take the fact an old man didn't want his whiskey.
Connor has small man syndrome, and anger issues is just part of it.
khabib took his soul..he was never the same after that
The McGregor-Mayweather fight was maybe the worst thing to ever happen to combat sports.
It's crazy how a man that has everything he ever wanted is still picking fights with random people like an insecure little goblin.
Quite the character this guy
This is the perfect lesson that money can still make you miserable, ruin your character, be terrible for your friend circle and I'm suprised Connor hasn't fallen into serious drug addiction. This is the life lesson most people don't know becoming really wealthy would ruin your life, all your vices multiply, bad habits magnify with no one to stop you or say no and away you go
Key parts of his rise:
1. He had a huge, dedicated, travelling Irish fanbase, who were almost as much a part of the show as the man himself
2. He was relatable and likeable, the type of guy who you’d want to hang out with and inspired you to think that kind of success was possible. His family also came across similarly well in first doc in 2013
3. He was innovative in his approach and talked about movement and technique and preached values such as loyalty, hard work, dedication, discipline and sacrifice to reach the top
Contrast the above with his behaviour and words from 2017 onwards
Fantastic content here dude. Your commentary is as captivating as it is eloquent
Kind words mate, thank you!
5:31 Dana translation: “It was good for business, will make UFC a lot of money, and I love the guy so much.”
Like Tony Ferguson, dude is exciting...I will still buy their fights even when they are on tilt
Tony for sure is the goat for me and Edson Barbosa is spetecular fighter too
the only time connor was respectful was when he had his court appearances upcoming, and as soon as they were over he would go back to being a certain word beginning with the same letter as the first letter of his name
The biggest thing missed here is the downfall started b4 he fought khabib.. the 2 year hiatus in which he made 100m for a boxing fight was the clear catalyst.. he was rocking up to press conferences drunk on blow, the bus incident etc.. things had deteriorated well b4 this fight took place..
And I say that still thinking he is a legit top 10 LW today but still levels below the dedicated focused version he was a few years prior
Connor was always overrated the problem is he took that 2 year layoff and starting believing his own hype, also like you point out the drugs didn’t help
@@keianroth2669the first double champ, victor over a 10 year champ, 1 of 5 fighters to win a fight in 3 weight divisions, is overrated? And thats leaving a lot out. Interesting take.
@@mitchdrew9005 never defended a belt, was given favorable matchups his entire run to the title, never had to fight a real grappler until Khabib and we saw how that went, objectively he was overrated. He was a good counterstriker with lots of power and would talk insane amounts of shit to piss people off so they would play his game, never evolved, never fixed the holes in his game like that weak ass gas tank, as soon as people realized that they just need to not play his game he never beat a top fighter again his only win after becoming a double champ (which btw flash KO over Aldo kind of a fluke never defended the belt then fought Eddie who was kind of a fluke champ himself then never defended the belt) was over a semi retired Donald Cerrone, he also acts like a spoiled child got embarrassed by Nate got an immediate rematch won in much less convincing fashion then ducked the trilogy fight for years like I said OVERRATED
That Twitter voice recording at 8:00 is too good
Hell yeah, great video from start to finish bro!!
Thank you Hank! Always appreciate the love man
Connor was a weight bully firstly, he done nothing once he left 145 but he was never going to stay the same once the money come in, fighters need focus and with 100's of millions in the bank its hard to stay focused.
With that said, there’s still the opportunity for some fucking fireworks with his matchups against Chandler, Gaethje, and Fiziev
Subbed bro. Solid content, keep it coming man !
Welcome aboard!
People overhype the crap out of conor (pre boxing) as if it was a mythical fighter.
Of course he is a great standup fighter, but he was served the dana privilege like how it is done to O malley now,
Verry solid vid man!
Appreciare it Crego, had a lot of chopping and changing with this one but happy with the result - v proud of the intro!
Part of the reason for the civil behaviour in poirier 2 was he was on a mission of reputational rehab after multiple rape/SA allegations and it hadn’t hurt vs cerrone
Cocaine is a hell of a drug
Return of the MAC !
my man how have you managed to get Leon Edwards into a video about Mcgregor 😂 i respect it (doesn’t change the fact colby is bouta ruin him) great video as always tho
Fr
Any opportunity hahaha
If colby wins I'm never watching ufc again
Conor is THE GAOT!!! what a show he made for us. thank you Conor.
Look how many people can eat because of ur story. Conor the GAOT.
Who would have thought that a talented young Irishman would destroy himself with alcohol
11:28 Conor’s face twitching cuz he knows he can’t say shit to that cuz he got slept 😂
He got that crazy Merryweather $ and he stopped caring.......not complicated
It’s not just the alcohol lmao…….. ❄️
Khabib broke Him Mentality
When you do and talk so much crap but then tap so fast...biggest puzzy cat.
I wouldnt say he destroyed his career. Reputation....yes. Self confidence......yes. Dignity....definitely. Im no Conor fan but winning 2 belts and making $500 million, and still selling tons of tickets even when youre not the fighter you once were, putting your country on the map, bringing fresh eyes to the sport and becoming the most popular fighter in that sport and in sport in general is hardly destroying your career. Hes gonna drink and snort himself into an early grave but Id say his career was an extreme success.
You just had to do it to kamaru at the end
"Disgusting, despicable.." Dana White is so goddamn dramatic.
It was a stupid move, but he just lays it on too thick
"So disgusting and despicable, in fact, that we'll use it heavily during the promotion of this fight, including featuring the footage of the incident in the intro video package at the dstart of the PPV on the night of the fight itself." ~ Dana, if he said what he was actually thinking.
yeah he self destructed so badly that he x40'd his net wealth since he fought Alvarez lol
Flexing another mans wealth is a different level of dick riding man
@@LeoCooperMMAsaying someone else ruined their career makes no sense either. The guy achieved more than anyone else in the game. Your whole video is nonsense.
@@shyme_8280 Given that he seems to be in court for some reason every other weekend and hasn't been a going concern in the sport for the last few years despite still being an "active" fighter is a pretty solid indication that his career is pretty well ruined.
De-cline 🤔
Does anyone ever notice how he somehow becomes more Irish the more money he makes
You mean he drinks more.....
leo 'the virgin' cooper
Cheers mate sons crying
2 words:
Khabab Armageddon
Idk what anyone says Conor was ONLY successful because he talked shit in a funny accent. If he did the exact same thing with an American accent he wouldn't even be 1/20th of the star he is. Casuals propped him up cuz leprechauns.
There's a shit ton of Irish descendant Americans who take pride in Irish culture. Hate it
To be honest there are only 2 eras in MMA. Before and After Conner McGregor. The guy was absolutely *phenomenal* in his prime.
Casual.
or before you heard about MMA and after
Well, to be fair. If not for that leg break he might have been a lot more active.
And here is a video that makes no sense.
“Dominated Conor on the feet”
Wildly casual statement
I'd consider a wrestler dropping an eite level striker whilst getting caught with hardly anything flush pretty dominant.
@@LeoCooperMMA getting caught with hardly anything? He lost the 3rd round clearly and that round was entirely standup.
Aint no way...... McGregor the GOAT
ight Xander
@@holloway_goat 🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
0 title defenses
I knew i could find you here XD
@@Crego_ 😂😂
As i said Conor vs Khabib are the better stiker vs wrestler You can not discard this guy. Nate diaz is bigger than this 2 why Say that khabib is the goat is always fought in the same división. And nate fought in boxing and Conor, but nate is still better than him.
Nates boxing is definitely underrated for sure! Not sure if he can beat khabib though hahaha
Dude your a casual, you really just said Dustin Vs Conor was in a empty arena due to Covid when they fought in Abu Dhabi specifically to give Conor a crowd because they didn’t want him fighting without one. I could’ve done better on this video myself
I meant a reduced crowd*. No need to get angry mate, its just a minor mistake, these things happen. If you care so much about it go and make a video yourself :)
There were 3k at it, no?
Yeah, he is such a failure…walk away with 500 million….such an abysmal career….no success.
Ah yes a new clickbaity video essay about how "conor is washed up" ive never seen this before
Don't like it, don't watch it man :)
@LeoCooperMMA i didnt watch it, just came here to comment
@@goaboa_ maybe give it a crack, who knows you might even enjoy it
@@LeoCooperMMA ive literally seen this exact concept done 5000 times, im good
@6:17 “Dominated Conor on the feet”???? Watch round 3 again. Khabib won a wrestling match. And his winging overhand was because of his take down potential. This video is so dramatic and bias. Can’t take it seriously now. You also gloss over his win against Cowboy and UFC icing him out during the pandemic for a whole year until Conor had to force them to give him a fight. This video is very dishonest. He fought Khabib with a broken toe. And he fought Dustin with a fractured leg and still slammed those leg kicks. You’re not telling the whole truth. Be better
In the Khabib fight Conor landed hardly anything imo - yes he won round 3, but was hardly a dominant one, Khabib landed significantly with the overhand right in the 2nd round. And i said on the feet AND on the mat.
He made those decisions to carry on and fight Khabib and Poirier. Almost every fighter gets injured in camp, its part of the job. He had every opportunity to pull out of those fights if he wished.
Anyway its just my opinion, don't read too much into it!
All love, hope you enjoyed the rest of the video!
dude to be really honest it would take you atleast 1000 life's to reach even 1% of what McGregor has achieved.
Yes his fighting career is not well these days but let me ask you one thing what will happen to you as a fighter if I give you 200 million , yup you won't fight ever again. He's only fighting not because of the money but he really loves fighting and dude for someone like you or me who have never taken a punch before in our life aren't even eligible to comment on a fighter let alone Conor McGregor.
And m damn sure when he fights next u are sure gonna buy that PPV so stop all these nonsense.
It’s not McGregor sleep it’s mcgregors broken
Any MMA fighter who can convince us dumb ass public to pay 100's of millions to watch him fight an expert boxer (mayweather), is a fn genious, just for that alone...... ps, Conor, slow down in that BMW, FOR F SAKE
