my only problem with mma beef, not so much rivalry, but beef between fighters is that from a common sense POV with 7 or 8 billion people on the planet you have to have an ungodly amount in common to endup in the same octagon, for the same company, in the same sport, in the same weight class, at the same time and place in history...you have to have so much in common for all those things to line up, i think i could look passed my rival being born in another state or country if we both made it here!. That's a world without egos though, and i know that's not the world we live in.
Khabib - Connor, Cormier - Jones, Jones - Gustaffson, Pereira - Izzy, Usman - Convington, Cormier - Stipe, Diaz - Connor, Poirier - Gaethje, Islam - Arman and so on for me are the best ones. Oh and Demetrious Johnson vs. Moraes trilogy probably the best so far.
I believe the real villian when it comes to trash talking is the media and the UFC!? It actually makes sense though because society in general seems to thrive and drawn to the excitement of trash talking!! 😜 It also helps people choose who is the bad & good guy in every confrontation!?! Unfortunately some fighters allow the trash talk to throw their focus off to the point of losing the battle! The best fighters maintain ultimate control no matter what!!
