    Omg! We made it and it tastes exactly like the tulumba that we ate in saudi arabia. Trust me, if you spent time to make it, it's worth it. I'm content,because this is my all time fav recipe that I had every ramadan since ma childhood . When we came back to ma country this was a major missing. Please do try dis out n you have the authentic one in your hand

      Than you very much...But the Greeks say tulumba is Greek food.It's not nice that our meals are presented as Greek food.For example İMAM BAİLDİ,HÜNKARİ BEENDİ,GÖZLEME,DÖNEr(GYROS) etc.

Greece was also in under turkish rule for over 400 years, which led to foods and cuisines being exchanged, you just made no sense at all damn.

    In my country we add rosewater and saffaron to syrup too,ı recommend to you do that.😉

      I make it with 330 ml jar water, same jar flour, 1 table spoon butter, solt 1/3 of small coffee spoon and 4 or 5 eggs 🥚 if they are big or small. Syrup - 1l water 💧 1 kg sugar and some lemon 🍋 juice and vanilla. I hope this will help you. This desert is very sweet and delicious.

    In Farsi, we call this "Bamieh=بامیه" meaning Okra as it looks like the Okra. Great sweet with afternoon tea and "in moderation"

    These look kind of like Mexican churros. Only churros are longer instead of cut short, and churros are rolled in cinnamon and sugar, and these are dipped in a syrup. A bit different but kind of similar also. They look wonderful. Can’t wait to try em.

    Basically a choux pastry, deep fried, and covered with simple syrup. I'd use a honey syrup instead of sugar.

      Its like saying marinara is basically just canned tomatoes with some extra stuff thrown into. You do whatever you want with it once you get the recipe/technique down. There isnt a single recipe I use that I dont change something within, hell I even change my own variations of recipes most of the times.

      Why are all the comments so race based? Dough nuts, churros, gulab jamun etc. Are similar but all tasty! No one race owns a recipe! Just enjoy the food! Recipes all evolve! 100 years from now it will be the norm to cook international dishes in every home! It won’t be race based at all! Let’s hope anyway! 😀
