- Tulumba dessert is one of the most popular desserts here in Turkey. It's history dates back to Ottoman Empire. It's similar to Churros, but only better :)
In this video, I took you to the oldest candy shop (208 years!) in Istanbul and after, got into the kitchen to make our own.
Hope you enjoy!
Tulumba Dessert Ingredients:
2 cups Water
50 grams Butter
2,5 cups Flour
3 Eggs
1 tablespoon Cornstarch
3 tablespoons Semolina
2 cups Water / 3 cups Sugar / 3 tablespoons Lemon Juice
500 ml Sunflower Oil

Wow Nice
I love both of your channels, recipes, and energy. I admire how you teach us foreign culture, and foreigners our culture. I wish you luck and success in your journey and to see your face always smiling. :)
Omg Idil, where can I get that t-shirt?! You’re so fashionable!
Also, I have a Turkish husband and he loves these.
Why are you even showing these for the whole World to see? They are embarasing! Please girl do a fashion show or something you are actually good at as obviously cooking is NOT your calling. SORRY for being brutally honest!
We eat these in greece too theyre so good!
I am in Maroco i love so match the peple turkish ,and there food
why dont we cook them in hot oil? Cant we manage the temperature so it cooks well
,rabbi m3ak la Turquie
But don't you think 3 eggs is too much?
It'll taste like egg not like tulumba
It doesn't take on an egg taste.
Terrible. I followed everything exactly in this recipe and they came out horrible. They were super dry and crunchy on the outside, and then it was like dry cake on the inside (almost like a donut inside). They didn't absorb the syrup at all.
Hi , that dessert here in Argentina îs called " CHURROS " .
I eat tulumba in albania and it is really delicious and sweet
Wow, earth-shatteringly beautiful! I was just exploring Turkish recipes out of a general curiosity for common Turkish dishes and styles, but I did not expect to see such an attractive woman, I nearly got shy or bashful even though its just a video. I enjoyed the cooking too of course, clear and detailed instructions, and I appreciate the light history/culture fun-facts to lead off the video, as well as your own footage of a common example of a top-tier example of the food. Proper 10/10, I can confidently state that Ive found my preferred channel for Turkish recipes, cooking, and/or preperations. I will definitely check out some more videos from the channel right now

Can we make this without eggs
No
You should be able to buy an egg replacer in the supermarkets or a health food store. It's just a matter of whether or not the texture and flavour is the same or not.y youngest is allergic to raw eggs
Hi ma'am excuse me how many cups of water together with butter for melting thanks maam
