What is it about the Zamboni guy that we like so much? We don't know anything about this guy, yet we still feel emotion when we see him at the end, looking sad at the end of it. Here is the thing about Adam's movies, he always managed to somehow make you go through every emotion starting with laughter through some type of intro character development. Then he introduces the problem with said character which allows people to empathize. He still keeps bits that are funny while transitioning into the character's journey to overcome their issue. Then comes the potential love interest and I always admire how he always chose beautiful actresses for that role. Throughout the movies, he would keep you entertained with hilariously ridiculous scenes and dialogue, but in this movie, Sandler hits you a few times with these bits of emotion that you just can't help but immerse into. This skating scene along with the last vision of his happy place when Chubbs sings really make this movie stand out from some of his others. Happy Gilmore is a true classic.
