A Power Query titan teaches another Power Query master ! This is a dream that came true ! These are true professionals, who still want to learn from others, even if they are really valuable experts themselves. I have a dream for Chandeep, to become a Microsoft MVP as soon as possible, he deserves it a lot ! Oz, I really hope that you will endorse Chandeep in becoming a MVP !
Wow! Wonderful video on so many levels! Thanks Oz and Chandeep. Chandeep, you deserve a medal if you can get Oz to do a video manipulating M code! Can't wait for the next Chandeep and Oz video!❤❤❤
Great Video! Loved it! I love to see the Teacher as the student. Everyone who is dedicating time to teach also should have time to be a student. Thank you for all of you videos! 😊
Hi Chandeep, I have just watched your video and once again I would like to express how thankful I am for your input you have unknowingly given me in the past. Not only have I become a member of your channel in the meantime, I have also enrolled to your M course earlier. As shown you have enligthened 400+ people other than me to take your course and I can tell all others that are still interested: It was worth every penny!!! Good for you!!!! I have watched quite a few of Oz's videos as well and I would like to ask you to do more videos like this because some things became so much clearer again (having taken the course) only because of the fact that you had Oz ask immediate questions, which helps a lot in the sense that rather that talking about a huge topic (Power Query) reduced to a specific case study in many videos it was easier for me having received answers to questions I would have asked myself which Oz did for me instead. I think with a certain amount of background and experience would bring other user's skills to another level. Thank you very much again! Marcus
List's demystified, in easy to understand steps of the "how" and "why" along with the utilization of the possibilities in "M" code. Especially for those of us that are new to "M" code and cannot do with what is needed in the PQ user interface. Absolutely excellent.
I really loved this video, seeing Oz like a young man learning something new. I know Oz since 4 years and I know he's a master. I can see in this video how he's humble and that is fundamental when you're learning something new even if you're an Excel MVP. Thank you guys for this phenomenal video. Really loved.
Great. This was one of the best chances for learning by some of us. The trust element is more because I am aware Chandeep is presenting to another Guru. Thank you!
I liked to see that even Oz have things to learn. No meter how many Years we are on excel there is always what to explore new, optimize and get understand new concepts. Its not only about knowing tools and functionality but its more about how we use it and combining together on our daily problem solving challenges.
I was present when this class was proposed at GES24 and to see it become reality is really cool. Chandeep, those were very brilliant examples showing use cases for lists. You have made an M-coder out of OZ 😁😁 keep up the great job
Very nice 'feel good' video Chandeep that captures the joy of learning as well as a first class explanation. And good on you Oz for being so humble and open to learning in the way we all should (always) be.
What the amazing session. Thit approach by real life mentoring for me brings more understanding about topic like regular videos recorder by single person. In this format comes up natural question which comes up many of us. So Pleas keep and expand this format. Personally me find it very valuable. Good job booth.
Hi Chandeep, this was an epic video! I really liked the way you explained all the small steps to Oz, so on a natural conversation. I saw many of your video's but this one really gave me an understanding of lists. My learnings: the UI does not work with lists, lists can prevent you from making all kinds of helper queries (making a spaghetti sometimes), you need some M code (formulas) to work with. I will start creating a list (!! ha ha) of the most important M-formulas to use. Thank you so much Chandeep. Hope you will make new video's like this.
Hi Chadeep, Your are awesome teacher I would like to have question regarding P-Query How we can use groupby function dynamically e.g. In Second example unpivoting column, how can we use group by function by excluding High only (Dynamically) if mid class added in row then this will show groupby of Low and Mid both classes. (may be Groupby with if statement I have no idea just guess)
Really enjoyable, I do like Oz, BTW have you done anything with List. Alternate, I've used to to create a list for the offset for inserting blanks, with accumulate but to be honest List. Generate is easier, perhaps you could set a challenge to find a use. keep up the work
This is fantastic, gentlemen! I was always confused whether you still need to wrap the list, say the ColNamesList in the video, inside {} What's your take? Are there scenarios where that would be needed?
Hi Goodly. Thanks for sharing it. I am going to do your mastering M . Then you offered the 3 course bundle. Then there is an issue with your payment. It costs INR24480 but it converts to Australian currancy, then the payment asks it to pay US$. I am bit confuse with the currancy convert.
Gr8 video got me subscribing to your channel. Can you tell me how to rename a column name by contacting the preceding column name. Basically each CSV file have the following two columns structure AreaName Available The area name varies where Available remains same and I want to change 2nd column name. For example If the 1st column name is Zomato then 2nd column should be renamed as Zomato Available. Notes Each file can have multiple 2-column structure. This is causing the PQ to rename Available columns as a table cannot have duplicate column headers.
I want to make an automatic lookup value in your dynamic unpivot data example " sales date wise data". I want to be automated to lookup the latest date data at the end and make that data my raw data, and again, the next day I want to lookup the latest date data, and that data becomes my updated data. I always want to look up the latest date data, and that data will be my raw data for the next day. How is that possible in power query?
Hi Guys I've just started working through this with you and after creating the table from the [Enter Data] button and adding the same data, I get the following code which doesn't look like yours - let Source = Table.FromRows(Json.Document(Binary.Decompress(Binary.FromText("i45WSlTSUTJUitWJVkoCsozArGQgy1gpNhYA", BinaryEncoding.Base64), Compression.Deflate)), let _t = ((type nullable text) meta [Serialized.Text = true]) in type table [Letter = _t, Value = _t]) in Source Any idea what's going on? Thanks, Alan

Chandeep is the BEST teacher ever. I really mean it. Nobody explains and makes things so easy like him.
Usually love Chandeep's presentations. But having Oz asking questions and interacting was different level. Thanks both !!
Yep, I totally agree, he is asking questions that we are thinking. It makes it much more realistic.

Mindblowing ... the explained concepts ... but also the way Chandeep explained ...
Very very very useful!!!! Thanks you for this subject.
