      You lost me at the jack access. Having to remove screws to access jack is a deal breaker. Mostly because if you leave the screws out, it rattles.

    • @dangermtbbronco
      @dangermtbbronco  Рік тому +1

      @@Pb_Slinger I agree that it would rattle if unscrewed, but honestly, the OEM jack is terrible anyway, and if you want to use the jack, it takes less than a minute to unscrew. This floor plate is super useful and versatile, and if the only downside outside of price is having to unscrew four Allen screws "in case" I get a flat, it's worth it to me. Whatever works for your situation and needs is what matters most, but I wouldn't let that minor possible inconvenience steer you away from this product.

      @@dangermtbbronco i already don’t like having carpet in the back of my Wildtrak. For the price of these parts, I can’t justify the spend when they don’t work exactly how I would like. I don’t doubt you about the jack either.

    Which fridge slide is that?

      This is the Iceco VL35/45/45Pro Single Zone Slide Mount. Solid slide. My only annoyance about it is the tray does move about a 1/4 inch front to back when locked so you get a little noise but most slides do that. This is my second Iceco fridge and slide and they have all been great.

    Hey there, I have the bronco security drawer system. It’s 8.5” tall. Do you think that floor system would work if I mounted it on top of the box? I know it would take a lot of customization. But my biggest complaint about the drawer system, is that it makes my floors storage smaller.

    • @dangermtbbronco
      @dangermtbbronco  Рік тому

      Hi Travis I don’t think so. Raising it would interfere with the tailgate lock mechanism. You would need to cut that away. You would be better off custom making a DIY solution or I would check out some of the solutions that @diabolical_inc offers.

    Um yeah.....I built my own deck and it cost me about $60 in materials and a few hours of my time. Does it look as clean? Nope, but not too far off. Does it accomplish everything the Goose Gear system does....Yuuuup!

    Thanks for posting this. That really seems like an easy install. Could you tell me what battery system is shown? It seems to fit very nicely in the space above the JCR rack. Thanks!

    • @dangermtbbronco
      @dangermtbbronco  3 місяці тому

      Hello, it is a simple installation. Thanks for watching. The battery is a Goal Zero 1500X and has room on the front and back, although it won't fit oriented the other way in the JCR shelf. The battery is plugged into the power outlet and recharged off the Bronco alternator while driving.

  • @JRMulcahy
    @JRMulcahy Рік тому

    The plate appears to have some blocks that raise it slightly. I installed a battery system from American Adventure Labs in the storage compartment under the floor and have one 4 AWG wire going to it from the engine bay and one 8 AWG wire and a ground going out and over to the rear panel on the driver’s side. Would you think there is enough room for these wires to sit under the Goose Gear floor? I have the factory floor over these wires now, which is flexible enough to conform around it.

    • @dangermtbbronco
      @dangermtbbronco  Рік тому +1

      Hi John, Great question. I am considering buying that same battery system from AAL and think there is plenty of room for wiring under the Goose Gear Rear plate. The only potential downside is that you don't have the same full access since the Goose Gear plate only allows you to flip up one side compared to the factory. But there's probably no need to access the batteries and wiring once it's installed unless you have an issue, and if so, you could easily remove the whole plate, which I have had to do several times for other gear installs. How do you like the AAL battery system?

    • @JRMulcahy
      @JRMulcahy Рік тому +1

      @@dangermtbbronco That gives me more confidence that this solution will work; thanks. I just completed the AAL install about a week ago so I don’t have any trail experience with it yet but I like the look. I couldn’t find the weight. Thanks!

    • @dangermtbbronco
      @dangermtbbronco  Рік тому

      Yeah, they don't post the weight on the rear plate, but they do for the rear seat deletes which probably weigh more in terms of wood and material for storage underneath. And the rear cargo plate is pretty light. So I'm betting less than 15 lbs.
      Seat Deletes weigh
      32 pounds for the 60% delete
      22 pounds for the 40% delete
      Their customer service is also excellent. You can call them direct at Tel:1-844-466-7334 to get an exact weight.

    • @dangermtbbronco
      @dangermtbbronco  Рік тому

      Thanks, I am still really loving it. Interesting idea. I know people use HDPE for applications like the bottom of sliders. I need to learn more about it to know how great it would be for this application. I bet HDPE would look pretty bad after a few months of sliding gear in and out. I assume plywood is cheaper for Goose Gear and likely has a much smaller carbon footprint. But again, I am not knowledgeable in this area. Expedition Essentials makes a great option from Aluminum.

      Not an issue it is covered in a durable textured coating. Unless you are taking your rig in the lake rot isn't going to be an issue. There is an aluminum floor from American Adventure Labs called the MASS system worth checking out if wood isn't an option for you. Thanks for watching and commenting.

    I’m curious why you picked the driver side for the fridge. I’ve seen most on the passenger side where the 12v cig plug is located. I have same fridge and dometic battery and curious where you keep your battery for the fridge as well. Thanks and great video

    • @dangermtbbronco
      @dangermtbbronco  2 дні тому

      Great question! Because I am running the Goose Gear cargo floor, I wanted to keep access to the storage underneath, and the door for that is on the passenger side, just right of the fridge. They do make it with the hatch on both sides, so its really personal preference. But for me, the driver-side mount is better for accessing the refrigerator when the gate is open and the table is folded down. It makes for a good working area without having to move stuff to access the fridge and or table. The Goal Zero battery is above the fridge on the JCR half shelf, and I run power to the 12-volt input on the passenger side to power up the battery while driving. You can see that setup at the 1:19 mark. Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.

    I have the Iceco fridge slide. Do you notice any what seems like front to back rattle when fully lock back in the storage position? I can kind of rattle mine when shaking the fride front to back.

    • @dangermtbbronco
      @dangermtbbronco  Рік тому

      Yes, and it's driving me nuts when off-roading. Good to know I'm not the only one. I reached out to IceCo, and they thought I was nuts. I have been working on a fix and tried a bunch. I am going to buy two big rubber door stops to wedge in the front of the slide between the base and slide plate and see if that helps. If it doesn't, I may drill a hole and use a spring-loaded set pin or threaded bolt that I can easily pull up to slide out, but that would lock it in place.

    • @wheelerk2012
      @wheelerk2012 Рік тому

      @@dangermtbbronco Yeah when offroading is where i'm hearing it as well. Maybe i'll open a case with IceCo as so they know its a problem. I think I'll try the ruber doorstop as well. Let my know how it goes and I'll do the same.
