If you want to partial salvage from the mech, you can go to yaml game setting(on pause menu)to enable the salvage v2, and also you can select the parts that you need to build a mech
Take a look at The Known Universe Mod. It updates the clan invasion borders as well as anything elsemap related. Makes comstar an available contractor as well. Clan Invasion Mod also has some mechs only spawn with specific factions when using known universe mod
Loving the new start. Regarding the PPI mechs, I tend to avoid the pirate-tech side of clan-invasion mod specifically because they show up extremely commonly and tend to be loaded with insanely expensive gear. Additionally the javelin PPI that runs around 250 kph is "broken" in that it has 2 heavy chain cannons which are some of the cheat high-dps weapons, but their ammo doesn't load in the mech layout due to config errors. If they were "fixed" they would be chucking something like 150 dps gattling gun fire that would instantly melt most mechs. This seems to be where the monetary value of the mech comes in when looking at the salvage screen, since each chain cannon is something like 27 million.
You could turn off the recon missions in the mod options if you wanted, that’s what I do since they become a pain with heavy and assault mechs latter on anyways
I think a full clan campain would be great. To stick to certain kind of mechs ( only clan or only inner sphere) Also a pokemon campain to try to get all the hero mech collection. Thanks for keep playing
I still think the 'Naked Woman ' paint scheme is the best! Brings a new meaning to 'nipple guns' in my opinion! I still think that you should install and use the 'purchase salvage ' just because. You or someone else might say 'I/he doesn't want to make it easy,' & I respect that, but you're missing the point... It's not about getting mechs or items necessarily easily, it's about getting all those nuts and bolts to help progress and open certain aspects of the game like getting better weaponry, getting options to upgrade weapons to get better quality weapons, or unlocking aspects in the dropship or cantina missions. It's about the playthrough, not the restrictions that make a compelling. I always roll my eyes when I make this analogy because I get annoyed at using the example all the time, like when I used to play Skyrim all the time, I never turn my nose up to any of the lower grade weapons that are out there because I could always scrap them and read forge them into something better. Skyrim was one of the last games that I used to play heavily while being Modded. I never understood why bethsaida never made it a default in the game, but once you unlock the the ability to turn some sort of item into charcoal (either firewood or some other item like a plate or whatever in the game), it unlocks many aspects of the game that you probably couldn't do during a vanilla play. You can take a iron knife / armor or anything else like that, melt it into an iron ingot, and combine it with a piece of charcoal to make it into steel. From that point on you can either double down and combine itself to the point where you can evolve it up to Alvin or glass armor / weapons, or go the other route and combine it with gold and turn it into Ebony or daedric weaponry / armor. So maybe you start with something useless made out of Iron, but turn it into something useful that you use later down the road at a higher tiers of the game. This way it will help you unlock some of the cantina missions, but also give you material to upgrade low tier weapons that can come in handy if maxed out. Besides doubling down on the same weapon to upgrade it to the next teir, you can scrap weapons into the various nuts and bolts that make it up, and recycle those elements into a different weapon to upgrade it to the next available level. So I think that would make a very valuable asset to your playthrough in the sense of the fact that you're not restricted by what you can and can't get to a certain extent. I would also recommend installing the mod for unlimited cantina missions and your roster instead of being restricted to six at a time. To me it's about putting to use what you have on hand at that moment to the best of your advantage. That's what matters to me. But that's my suggestion. Too many restrictions can choke the game play, so it's nice to have options sometimes. If you get my meaning.
Great to see a new playthrough. I can see why you would not want to use any gifted mechs, but getting Goblin as a pilot I think would be legit, since you have to go looking for them at industrial hubs anyway and you do have to earn him by getting to Level 4. Just a thought.
yeah it's funny how the clan invasion mod has a RIDICULOUSLY stupid amount of OP'ed pirate gear (and duplicate equipment already in YAML) Absolute trash tier mod, lmfao.
bara makes these rescue missions defend armory much easier for AI to destroy when bara shoot and runs through the buildings all the time lol but thats why we love bara having fun..
I have an idea for future campaigns where you must chose some variables, like background, allegiance, etc... Use a random generator and like generate number a few times A number larger than the available options to allow for a good randomness to occur. For example at 0:30 you insert in the random generator 1000 - 7999 and of course the first digit to count towards the pick. And repeat the same process for every option. This type of random starting has given me interesting gaming experience in various titles of games that offered such selection at the start.
15:45 I don't think that's true. Not always. I've had missions where I was gaining only +2 reputation, while losing -8 from the enemy. I think this happens when your company's reputation is higher than the mission's reputation tier or so.
Heilung’s Hero’s. Wardruna’s Warriors. Faun’s Fusiliers. I just started a campaign and decide to go with a bit of a pagan folk band theme. I’m super color blind so I just go with browns and blacks for color.
company name: B.B. inc. short for: Bara Broke incorporated. flea a mech that is one medium laser hitting away from a really bad day, all speed no armor =) fi think doing some arena fights and 1v1 duels will be better for gear and mech parts rather than running regular missions undergunned, also upgrading the medium lasers not in the arm on the wolfhound (less heat a bit longer range and more damage (letting you one shot helicopters and light turrets)). (also recomend checking what mechs are most common on the planet you are currently on before each mission, so that you can take the mech parts that are more likely to be injected into each mission. and as allways keep up the good work so i can get my daily fix while packing my life into cardboxes in prep for my move. -Specter out.
Skill! Always a pleasure to enjoy a pro doing good work! Anyway, for the early game it's a question of how many ppc-x can you put on how many things. Oh and you're playing a goblin game, right? Well, make a goblin company! With Goblin the pilot and Kobold, the gobbo mech! You know you want to!
Really was hoping for later start, 3080+ I think is when all the become available. Either way should be fun to see what happens with pirate tech this time around.
The way salvage works in the mode you have is you need 1 part per 5 tons. So a 40 ton mech needs 8 parts. A lot of the times (not always) you will find a complete mech and the salvage cost is about what it would cost to salvage the parts 1 at a time. So a 35 ton mech might be 7 picks on the loot table. I personally dont like this salvage mode, I prefer the one where you can mix and match parts to make mechs you want vs. random mechs.
love the new start grind, to bad the assassin appeared right at the end of the last mission. at least you can do some grinding in solaris and get mechs fast if you choose to
Late to the party, but it looked like the flea got you good in the back. Fitting that you salvaged it. Those SC lasers might be quite good... or you just have no armor there...
you should scrap and sell the barauders then just use the money for repairs and items; appreciate your commitment to the grind but i want to see you trick out that wolfhound with pirate weaponry😂
Uuuh! What a wonderful start. I wonder if you'll try and have a specific weapon preference this time? Like mostly AC's or HLasers? Just wanted to ask what i'Ve been doing wrong but when i tried a JAML playthrough, i could not build ANYTHING on my mechs and it always said that i do not have enough mechanic levels.
I’m sure you explained it in a previous modded playthrough but how is it that you’re always starting with those Marauders? Cuz I’d like to start a modded playthrough with them lol
i rly hoped Baradul would do something different this time. He is usung essentially the Same Mod Setup again, and getting super early all the OP Stuff and has these OP and Unabalanced Weapon Mods active, that the AI cant even use properly^^ Man i kinda wish, PirateTech and MercTech would be playable again, it was soo different but last time i tried it was too buggy for me to play and some changes they made, i dont agree with.
Sorry to come in late to the game a bit but I was wondering what dlc would be needed to run your mod list. The vanilla game is on sale atm and I want to mod it right off the bat but I don't have the money to buy all the dlc at the moment so I was curious. Thanks!
How about not using the Barauders until like Rep 10 and 15 respectively?. Earn them through XP basically. That Javelin NEEDED the Benny Hill theme song! lmao
I tried running the same mods you have in your list but I get a black screen on start up after loading but before main menu. Any idea what is going on?
I have a heavy mod loadout YAML based (merc/piratetech is too out of date). The game takes 2-4mins to start with more then a few mods for some reason, just gotta WAIT at blank screen then its fine. Also found CockpitGlass causes issues with some YAML mechs in 1st person.
Farming Arena missions is a good way (a little too much 😂) to acquire Lostech equipments. By the way, has the company name "Barabroke" ever been used? 😂
Does the Emporium mod put every weapon system in every shop and is there a way to disable that? I like the new weapon systems a lot but having premium weapons available absolutely everywhere sort of ruins the addictive pokemon hunting nature of the game. Sort of just feels like I'm playing skirmish.
When there's the chance can a video be made again about the mods used and best way to install ? Everything broke for me after the new campaign was released.
I have the same mods, minus the Empress Legion and YAWR, and my game gets stuck on a black loading screen after the 2 Liao mech loading screen. Any help would be appreciated please.
Would someone be kind enough to explain to me what mods certain equipment that Baradul has available for purchase at the store comes from please? for example all pirate weapons (P), grenade launchers, artillery..... I downloaded all the same mods as him, everything activated, and impossible to find them, even in instant action :/
Question for anyone who's familiar with his content, how does he consistently make money on these missions? Whenever I try YAML on recommended ("Balanced") settings, my AI will ALWAYS take more damage than i can possibly earn back during a mission, even with the improved ai mod he has.
Unfortunately the yaml mod doesn't work for me. When I start the game again I get the message '+lowlevelfatalerror line 570+'. Has anyone had this problem and been able to solve it?
Hey Bara, is your Mod list updated? I tried unsubing and resubscribing to all the mods and the game is still crashing when trying to start a new game. Also, how'd you get the bara marauders? :3
Unfortunate that they can't put real weapon systems in the SRM carriers that you can actually salvage. It would be easy enough to put in four SRM6 instead the SRM10.
Everytime i try to use YAML it causes Problems with other mods.. like YA IS Mech.. or YA Special Variant.. and Pilot Overhaul causes Problems to Advanced Career Start ... Anytime i try to activate + use YAML i get a Black screen and nothing else happens after.. till i Gotta close mw5. Meh :/
Hmmm, PP mechs shouldn't show up under difficulty 40. More crap to fix... ugh. PP mechs still only show when fighting independent and Outlaw factions. Easy to avoid early game
Company name : Friendly Fire, colours red of course on the flame pattern
heheh niice
If you want to partial salvage from the mech, you can go to yaml game setting(on pause menu)to enable the salvage v2, and also you can select the parts that you need to build a mech
i think he is using salvage v1, which can let full mechs drop and when they dont they can drop salvage parts like in v2.
First Time I saw the vonBiomes Volcano special location in-game! :)
Congratulations on the find!
That's such a cool feature! The amount of variety your biomes add is seriously wild.
Great feature!
Thank you for the Mod. i enjoy it.
Take a look at The Known Universe Mod. It updates the clan invasion borders as well as anything elsemap related. Makes comstar an available contractor as well. Clan Invasion Mod also has some mechs only spawn with specific factions when using known universe mod
"Lets cool down for a bit!" Immediately hits the jump jets. LOL.
A new start! Excellent. Let the fun begin.
Loving the new start. Regarding the PPI mechs, I tend to avoid the pirate-tech side of clan-invasion mod specifically because they show up extremely commonly and tend to be loaded with insanely expensive gear.

The whole YACI mod is like a cheese factory. Even the royal heatsinks and jjs make me feel like a dirty cheater.
Battletech/MechWarrior is the gift that keeps on giving.
Should add the "known universe" mod from nexus if this is a clan playthrough. Itll update the borders to show the clan invasion.
Hey Bara, enable Salvage V2 in the YAML settings if you want the partials like you used to.
ModOptions would also be good.
(Nice to see you here, TrueG. :))
A man with your MWO skills here?
*Baradul watching tanks in the field
"its a peaceful life"
Awesome Bara. You're even starting with one of my favorite 'mechs: The Wolfhound. 🙂
Always up for some more 'Mech Action! Let's see what hijinx await us this season. Those PPI/Pirate Mechs are ridiculous. Love it!
Thank u very much Mr. Baradul! the mod list is very niiiiice!! Love 2 watch and play the game. Good luck an all good 2 u!
You could turn off the recon missions in the mod options if you wanted, that’s what I do since they become a pain with heavy and assault mechs latter on anyways
I think a full clan campain would be great. To stick to certain kind of mechs ( only clan or only inner sphere)

Please release more of this asap! Absolutely love this sort of, “start from nothing”, style gameplay!
I still think the 'Naked Woman ' paint scheme is the best! Brings a new meaning to 'nipple guns' in my opinion!

Bara playing around with the literal devil. That PPI Javelin could have absolutely crushed him at any given moment without even breaking a sweat.
yeah it's funny how the clan invasion mod has a RIDICULOUSLY stupid amount of OP'ed pirate gear (and duplicate equipment already in YAML)
Absolute trash tier mod, lmfao.
The last RT patch broke 4 of my VTOL's. No more RISC Seth. But thankfully I still have 6 VTOL's.
bara makes these rescue missions defend armory much easier for AI to destroy when bara shoot and runs through the buildings all the time lol but thats why we love bara having fun..
I like the idea of baradul's badgers. With a badger color scheme: grey, main, black and white trim,
Yay, new start! My squad name is the Nose Goblins. So don't pick it. How about the Terra Ghouls? Unfired Streaks? No Sensor Fencers?
I have an idea for future campaigns where you must chose some variables, like background, allegiance, etc...

Gotta get the mod for all different weight class Marauders. The 35t Marauder is the most fun starter mech ever! 😍
Time to binge this play through until MW5: Clans release 🙌
Heilung’s Hero’s. Wardruna’s Warriors. Faun’s Fusiliers. I just started a campaign and decide to go with a bit of a pagan folk band theme. I’m super color blind so I just go with browns and blacks for color.
'Exotic IS mechs' for more mechs!
Yuuuuuus! New MW5! How did I miss this for 3 days???

Honestly since the Clans is about to come out, I'd get Clan Wolf colors for your mechs.

Oh and you're playing a goblin game, right? Well, make a goblin company! With Goblin the pilot and Kobold, the gobbo mech! You know you want to!
Thumbs up for selecting Davions, just do not fight against them. :)
"shoot 'em with the long range weapons"
...Bara says as he has nothing but medium lasers... :D
Really was hoping for later start, 3080+ I think is when all the become available. Either way should be fun to see what happens with pirate tech this time around.
Yeeeesss! Let's gooo!
Hell yeah!! Love a new playthrough!

Oh noes.. and just now the game updated and Mods are to be checked. XD.
Yes! I've been waiting for this.
Ppc x on the wolfhound is really good mixed with small lasers even with standard heat sinks
Also ppc x has really good dps
Looks good, but I wish they use the proper artwork/model for the Union dropship.
Late to the party, but it looked like the flea got you good in the back. Fitting that you salvaged it. Those SC lasers might be quite good... or you just have no armor there...
Love it thank you very much
How about Baradul's Bombers in a black color scheme maybe a little gray highlights.
you should scrap and sell the barauders then just use the money for repairs and items; appreciate your commitment to the grind but i want to see you trick out that wolfhound with pirate weaponry😂

New run, new list!
TO DO LIST:
* Rebuild Flea - IN PROGRESS
* Get more mechs - IN PROGRESS
A Wolfhound is a great mech to start woth though.
Check the new system map mod with the Clan zones and new skirmish types.
😎
Could possibly head to Valentina for Razor wolverine mech to boost start as its technically salvage..
I’m sure you explained it in a previous modded playthrough but how is it that you’re always starting with those Marauders? Cuz I’d like to start a modded playthrough with them lol
Random thought. Since you are not using the Marauders given to you, why not strip them of weapons and equipment that you need?
Cool start, go all lasers and call the team Lightsabres..?
i rly hoped Baradul would do something different this time.
He is usung essentially the Same Mod Setup again, and getting super early all the OP Stuff and has these OP and Unabalanced Weapon Mods active, that the AI cant even use properly^^

Bets on how long before the color pattern stops being applied on incoming mechs?
oh yay!
How hard would it be to let you pilot tanks?
Since it’s a Clan campaign, you could go with HCUA.
How about not using the Barauders until like Rep 10 and 15 respectively?.
Earn them through XP basically.
That Javelin NEEDED the Benny Hill theme song! lmao
use a capture card sending to an editing/streaming pc
Excellent run!!!
I tried running the same mods you have in your list but I get a black screen on start up after loading but before main menu. Any idea what is going on?
Is anyone having issues with the mods?

Burning Wolves, colors orange yellow and Red.
