    The gameplay of Mechwarrior 5 is split in two different parts. But the action starts as soon as you get into the cockpit of your Battlemech yourself to fulfill contracts on the battlefield to earn more C-Bills and progress the story. I will review the weapon systems, battlemechs, show you how to build the loadouts and train your pilots and take a look at all the different mission types and upgrades of the MW5 Heroes of the Inner Sphere DLC.

    The Pirate LAMS is a scam. It's a tier 5 AMS with less ammo and weighs more, falsely advertised as laser. Also, much more expensive cause Pirates.
    If you salvage them though, you can sell them for more than a regular AMS and scam someone else.
    Victor "Brawl" is a relic from when we added melee punching before the DLC did. It has one purpose, to get into melee and throw hands. It holds a special place in my heart so it got updated and is still around as a semi-hero

    Wow. The AI frustration is real. I must admit that I had certain pilots that seemed to do that stuff more often. Might be biased on my part. But it felt good to fire them after the 5th time they did that on a mission. Also, picking up spider parts with your "left over" salvage picks pays off in the long run; they have a pretty large engine so they usually have pretty good sale value for a complete mech. I am working far away from my gaming computer so I am vicariously living through you. Thank you for your stuff!

    I just wanna let everyone know, I found a Flea-PPII and did something unholy to it.
    400 engine core
    MASC MK (C)
    Advanced supercharger
    NSS
    Stealth Suit
    Speedy Legs
    And oh yeah, two LB 20-X AC (C) with a MK.8 targeting computer
    With full MASC, it goes over 1000kph.... If something shoots at you with anything other than a laser, you just turn and burn and outrun the projectile. My dream of owning the most terrifying flea in the galaxy has come true, and my heart is full.

    TIPS FOR TAKING ON THESE AERO MISSIONS:
    1. First off, use your DP for AC turrets ONLY, and use the rest to activate the heavy and lights you can use. Wait to get extra DP, then activate your Igors. Place 1-2 friendly units at the drop ship and start you assault after the first or second wave of enemies.
    2. With your LRM mechs, they can ABSOLUTELY lob missiles into the center of the base to take out turrets, they just have to stand back a little more. Which helps, given they won't be torn apart by the ravagers. (((PRO TIP, ARROW MECHS ARE THE ~KINGS~ OF THIS MISSION IN PARTICULAR)))
    3. there are 3 entrances to the enemy base. The right side of the base (which is more or less the rear entrance) is the least guarded. But in turn, brings you STRAIGHT to the middle where all the nasty turrets and mechs are. You can easily peak and kill, or just push in and tank. But remember, turrets target those who do the most damage. So run over them whenever you're near them.
    4. if you don't want your team mates to make dumb decisions, LEAVE THEM JUST OUTSIDE THE BASE, WHILE YOU TAKE CARE OF THE TURRETS. I've experienced the AI kamikaze themselves into the base even if I told them to stay somewhere (much like yours were doing). It seems the overwhelming amount of enemies derps out the AI's targeting. If they don't have tons of armor and firepower, leave them outside for them to take care of any incoming enemies until it is time to capture and defend.
    5. Once you've captured, you should have built up a lot of DP from all the fighting you did. Build as many turrets towards the front entrance. This is where most off the enemies come from. MOST. There will be some coming from the rear entrance, so place at least 2 turrets to defend. This amount of turrets alone should be enough to defend both you and your lance mate till the timer runs out.
    6. Once the timer runs out, you can always switch to one of the mechs you left at the drop ship and leave quicker. Remember, you don't HAVE to stay in the base the entire count down, the enemy has to recapture the base for you to fail. So you can even leave the base with it's turrets and run back to your own drop ship if you want.
    Hope these tips help you out Bara, as well as anyone else who has read this far!! This is one of my favorite missions, so I've played a good number of them. Even the striker ones, (Which are probably THE MOST insane mission you could ever play. Similar to an End Game mission, but much more fast paced!)

      LRMs need a lot of ammo against those turrets because most just hit the ground. Ravagers can be dealt with with SRMs very well. I'd say the crusader would have been a better mech.
      I think decoy turrets are worth it as well.
      I always upgraded the turrets as much as possible and then went in with all lancemates. Leaving them outside the enemy base to clear the turrets sound like a good idea though.

      @@RincetheWind True! But if you go in yourself while they lob missiles, you can actually take them out much faster than you'd expect. With how much ammo is in his mechs I'd say they could sustain themselves if he utilized the ammo restock after most ammo was used. I usually only upgrade a few turrets because I actually leave 2 lance mates on the drop ship. My entire lance right now carries Void Signature System, so that 100% nerf to enemy accuracy kinda makes these missions a breeze.... Usually complete the interceptor or multi roll within 8 minutes round about. Depends on the void mech I take. Strikers? Yeah that takes me a while 🤣

    Man, that mission really was a lot harder than it had any right to be. I wonder if you could have baited all the enemies to you before entering the base, or if there were an infinite number of dropships to replenish them.

    The best lasers for the Orion would be Large Short-Bursts, they'd negate the negative trait for beam duration.

    Last video you mentioned the Stacked Crates mod was a bit much (free mechs)
    The mod is very customizable, to the point where if the only thing you wanted was crates on the battlemap thats the only thing it can do.
    Its great.

    The ground turrets can be run over no problem if they have no support under them, unlike the tanks they do no damage when u stomp them also enemy turrets have 3x HP and the ones you deploy don't
    the ammo crates near the leopard can restore full ammo, and for the lancemates to not move after the command you have to tell them to hold fire

    Press F1 , F7 ( from TTRulez mod) and then issue a command to Stay in formation... makes them less likely to YOLO

    When you deployed on this mission without even one assault mech I knew it was going to be hell for you and I am kind of amazed it only took one restart for you to get through without losing a mech.
    You did well but everyone suffers the first time they try these missions, the difficulty spike compared to most other missions in the game is huge.
    Next time, take the Atlas :)

      Assault mechs are overrated. :D
      I usually do this with just one assault (a hero battlemaster with an AI pilot) or none. But I have Agincourt as my mech and those fast firing SRMs make short work of ravager turrets ... and everything else, basically.

    On your way to Solaris visit Terra and get Coyote… The best Pilot that ALWAYS ignores your orders 😂Liao will hate you and sometimes send assassins but damn - my best man on the field and his comments are hilarious. And he retreats when he gets too much damage

    The AI will move around in a small radius around the point you've told them to go to. Order them to go further away

    The AI is actually doing exactly what it's supposed to, they go to the spot you tell them and start to patrol. They will attack nearby enemies, even if it means running into a death room full of turrets.

    aerospace fighter capture missions are kinda tricky. especially when to deploy the heavy mech, 6x igor fighters, and light mech and when to use refill ammo bins
    btw bara, you can also have your own Ravager Turrets on top of your leopard, there are currently 2 missions where you can acquire them for deployment whenever you do your resource missions. somewhere mid marik space, and a system besides tukayid. those are very helpful
    the first time trying to acquire one of these aerospace fighters was quite and eye-opener, or should i say a center torso/s opener 😅
    you should probably bring your assault can openers next time, there are some nice hills overlooking the enemy base
    for Mods, i suggest Side Hussle, no limit cantina missions
    stacked crates if your really wanna try those blind specials, mini blind specials among others. and fully adjustable settings so that you can not get free mechs and make it too easy playthrough

    AI never stays exactly where you tell them to, they move around and patrol a bit. If they are weapons hot and you target an enemy, they will also face towards that enemy and try to attack. I suppose they will stay still when weapons fire is off, but then they are sitting ducks if you forget about them and an enemy finds them

    Nothing wrong with the AI...If your lance mate takes damage they will engage the source of that damage... so you say "come here" and they start to turn away to follow... then something shoots them...they will re-engage the source of the damage

      There should probably be a command for "Hold Fire" and "Go here" at the same time. Getting them to do both without one overriding the other is needlessly tricky. Things like this really wreck the sense of suspended disbelief. Sometimes you want people to just ignore the light mech plinking at their back armour and just run.

    That was definitely a wild ride of a mission, but the most difficult? I would go with the earlier days of MW 5 days when you had the scary tank mod. There was a game you bailed on with an unreal amount of tanks.

    Oh no he forgot about paying attention to the system owners of an Industrial Hub. I understand the reality though, when time is real money and especially storage space, it pays to just be fast as opposed to spending more time in transit.

    The missions added by coyote mod as so great. I just want a SETTING TO LET ME KEEP ALL THE SALVAGE on the missions like resource extraction. That is my op. My risk, give me all the loot.

    I have had a persistent bug where ONE AI pilot will simply not obey orders. Happens whether I tell them all or just one. They just follow me and don’t obey movement or attack orders. They DO seem to follow hold fire orders though. Really annoying, esp in infiltration missions.

    AI pilot errors are mainly caused through using MODs like TTrulez and then not actually using them to configure the mechs for roles, or using correct setup of weapon groups. AI pilots use groups from left to right group 1 if meets conditions then goes to next, so like his Thunderbolt had M Laser on group 1 and LRM 20 on group 3 and 4, which are fine for him to use, but WAY wrong for AI pilots. Thats why the T Bolt ran into the fray and got chewed up in his first run. If he'd setup weapon groups for the AI pilots better as well as TTRulez mech roles, he'd not really need to issue as many commands and they would run their roles much more effectively. Isn't perfect, but is WAY better then having short range on first weapon groups and long range on ones down the list and wondering why they rush in and mess up and you loose mechs.
    I've had the same issues in my runs. Nearly always is my fault for forgetting to setup weapons groups, or forgetting to set mech role after a refit, where I refit it for a missile boat and its default was Brawler. There are instances still where AI just can't react well, and adapt to a event. Also times where under experienced pilots in a unknown mech will have issues, that's part of the curve of 330's Pilot overhaul, adding skill building to pilots where they need time in the saddle to get used to a mech. He has Both MOD's installed, constantly using unexperienced pilots in a mech, and not setting up weapon groups other than for himself, for his use of keyboard and mouse. Really can't stress enough... Weapon groups, weapon groups weapon groups, and if you use pilot overhaul, let your pilots stay in mechs they are used to, or take them to other lesser missions to get them some seat time. Plus if you use TTRulez, make sure you set the role for the mech vs your build. Don't expect the AI to work the way you think it should if you set it up for missiles and then have the role or weapon groups incorrectly set for that. It will just eat up C-Bills and leave you frustrated.

    I'm commenting before I watch the video, but you should look into the MFMLs they're fully automatic homing missile launcher, they're can lock but don't need it.

    AI definitely seems dumber right now. Played Vanilla on a recon mission and had one of them follow me while I was scouting after explicitly telling them to go to position. I stopped, looked at him dead-on for 5 seconds, and he said "Roger, going to position" and went back where he should've been. Thankfully it was only comical since I didn't lose the mech.

    Try out the "Battle Grid Orders" mod. You can use it to control your lance via the minimap. It's not perfect yet, but it works quite well for me.

    Pretty sure it's one of your mods for your lance mates that's causing them to act so dumb. I don't have these issues and don't run any of them other pilot overhaul.

    If you can cram 3 scrap guns on a mech you might find better performance than a scrap cannon.
